I made this yesterday and HOLY COW made for a delish breakfast! When I bake I calculate my macros based on my specify ingredients/brands of foods I’m using. One huge slice (1/8) of a loaf and combined with a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese on top plus 1/2 of a Fairlife protein shake, I had 29 grams of protein and a perfect 33% split on carbs/protein/fat. OMG I made this on the weekend and it turned out sooo goooood!! I did an apple pie version where I swapped out the banana for applesauce and added pieces of tinned apple to the top and it was so yummy! I've tried other recipes with protein powder and they turned out yuk but this one totally works and keeps me full for ages :) Thanks Danni, you're recipes are the goods
I'm a banana bread lover. I'm supposed to at my age get a lot more protein in my diet so I will try and come back to give my feedback. I did see another video about upping your protein and how easy it is-I was making this upping my protein so difficult for myself and this video made it so easy!
You may want to clarify that you are using a vanilla protein powder that contains sweetener. I like to bake with Bob’s Red Mill organic plain protein powder so I can control the flavor and the sweetness. Can’t wait to try this recipe!

Appreciate your focus on protein. A suggestion. Instead of the almond flour, swap that out with psyllium. Game changer to increase fiber and reduce calories.
@@chidimmaonyema7773 great question. Play around with the amount. Psyllium is very drying so you may need to add an extra egg or egg whites if the batter feels too dry. I would start with replacing the flour amount with the same psyllium amount.

I cannot have caffeine, so will replace the chocolate chips with carob chips :-) I love your chia puddings! Looking forward to your cookbook. Can I replace the Greek yogurt with non dairy yogurt? I have psoriasis so I’m trying to cut out dairy. I tried your blueberry lemon zest muffins and they are so good! Really excited to try this recipe too. My toddlers and myself will love this.
Fun fact, there is more protein in egg yolk… there is just more volume of egg white. Egg whites are especially renowned for their high levels of protein, however yolk contains more on a gram for gram basis. Egg whites have 10.8g per 100g but are trumped by egg yolk which contains 16.4g per 100g. However, as there is more egg white volume than yolk in each egg, white grabs the protein spotlight. Looks yummy 🍌🍞
