    I made these with oats, almonds, cranberries, honey, peanut butter, and vanilla. That's all I had. They came out great. I ate one for breakfast and a cup of coffee and was full for a while. Thanks!

    Great recipe. Here’s a trick to get laser straight cuts: freeze the whole tray until almost frozen, then flip the entire thing onto a cutting board and cut with a large kitchen knife (guillotine style). Perfect bars

    Recently I've decided to include meal replacement bars into my diet. The ingredients are shocking, because we all assume these bars, which in all honesty don't always taste so good, are healthy. I found your channel and I appreciate it so much. I already make my own granola. I'll now make my own bars. Thank you!

    Thanks so much for this recipe. I made the granola bars today 3.18.23; and my mom loves them. Now I can eat oats in a healthy way. I don't like oatmeal; so this is great for me. So delicious and yummy. I added chocolate sprinkles to this recipe.

    I made tonight following exactly. I cooked 23 min bcz I wanted them crunchier. My bars after cooking were on the crumbly side and barely hold together. They're very delicate and break into pieces really easily. I'm thinking it may have needed more honey/peanut butter to bind it together? Or less oats/nuts. Do u think making it again using a bit more honey/PB will help bind them more?

    I made them and they were perfect! You were right, the chocolate chips would melt away completely if you add them even if it’s little warmer. I should have added at the end as toppings and gently pressed it. I mixed it before transferring the mixture to the baking tray , and it was a bit warm. My chocolate chips are all disappeared at the end 😂 anyways good taste and a lesson learnt! Thanks for the recipe

    Ok, that's almost exactly how I make my granola bars, except I don't heat up the honey and peanut butter. I add some liquid coconut oil to help keep the Oats moist with the honey and peanut butter. And I don't heat them up after i mix them together. The problem I'm having is they crumble apart. I out some 85% dark chocolate on top. It helps but doesn't keep the Oats together very well. Now I know what I'm doing wrong.

      Well considering that this recipe also has other nuts as substantial ingredients in addition to peanut butter, these would not be a good recipe for an environment where there are potential nut allergies. Period. And it’s quite easy to find peanut butter with only peanuts and maybe salt as ingredients. The kind you have to stir.

    Dried Cranberries have a crap ton of sugar and so does most peanut butter. So honey is definitely not the only sugar.

  • @yvonnem1448
    @yvonnem1448 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Info from Chat GPT:
    Peanut butter contains very little, if any, omega-3 fatty acids. Most of the fats in peanut butter are monounsaturated and omega-6 polyunsaturated fats, which are healthy but different from omega-3s.
    To get more omega-3s in your diet, consider foods like:
    - **Fatty fish** (salmon, mackerel, sardines)
    - **Chia seeds** and **flaxseeds**
    - **Walnuts**
    - **Algal oil** (a plant-based omega-3 supplement derived from algae)
    Some peanut butter brands add flaxseed or chia seeds to boost omega-3 content, so you might find options like these if you’re looking for a convenient source.
