Thanks! And I know there’s tons more recipes online! Some don’t supply the nutritional info, so I had to do my own calculating… and from just a few recipes, you could totally start tweaking them for yourself! Let me know if you make any protein bars!
Yes I make my own too! I was on a low Fodmap diet & the protein bars I found had artificial ingredients & were almost $3 each. I started using any dry cereal, mostly granola, some type of butter, collagen powder & water. Sometimes, I add chocolate chips, nuts, brown sugar or cinnamon. Homemade is best & I also lost weight 😋
I made the no bake chocolate protein bars with a few substitutions based on my pantry stock(mini chocolate chips instead of dried fruit and cashew butter instead almond butter. These are delicious!! Thank you!
Lisa, you make it fun. I'm getting ready to make my first bars with a new food processer, thanks so much. Wondering why you didn't include some flaked coconut in one of the bars.
Flour would totally work. Anything to suck up the moisture. But from a macros perspective, it wouldn’t be the same amount of protein. Which got me thinking what a cheaper alternative would be that would also have high protein, and then I looked into bean powder or making it yourself, or some other high protein content substitutes like ground nuts which probably wouldn’t be cheaper. I did find a list of substitutes but don’t think price was a factor in this list at all, nor was the list contingent on subbing in a homemade protein bar. Nuts and Seeds Legumes Greek Yogurt Quinoa Cottage Cheese Edamame Eggs Nut and Seed Butters But it’s something to think about for sure. Price vs quality and what it will do for you nutritionally.
If you do, please report back how it went! I’m curious to know if it works well enough. I know I love oatmeal cookies made with just banana and raisins and some cinnamon.
I don’t have any off the top of my head and did a quick search and it’s slim pickins out there for strawberry protein powder recipes besides muffins and shakes! Yikes. Maybe it’s the sweet factor. I do have some more recent protein bar recipes that I bet could work for strawberry flavor… I will see if I can create something! You could probably use almond butter for the binder and maybe throw in some freeze dried strawberries or white chocolate. Should be fun to figure something out.
I’m thinking oats, almond butter, strawberry protein powder, vanilla curd, maybe some dehydrated strawberry chunks or something salty like pistachios or roasted almonds chopped… maybe honey in there if not already too sweet. I’ll test it out and experiment a little.
Microwave almond butter and honey - it breaks my heart. Your recipes are handy, thank you for your time on that 🌹 If you need to loosen up the honey and almond butter, why not add a splash of warm water instead? That way the precious nutrients won't get destroyed by the heat.
I agree! These have crap macros. Now that I know more, I’ve developed other recipes, but even now, I don’t eat protein bars. I just go for the chicken instead. Straight to the source. 😆
@LunchwithLisa I would like to make one with perfect macro content. And still taste good. So many store bought bars taste awful. Homeade is always better
I agree! These ones turned out pretty good. Could always play around with more protein powder if you want to up the protein. th-cam.com/video/bq5WpHassGg/w-d-xo.html
My husband and I don't have any teeth. He's lost 150 pds eating ZONE bars for breakfast and lunch and regular dinner. We can't afford ZONE bars anymore.. We need an alternative please. Something that is smooth. I made a recipe with melted chocolate and pumpkin. I added some AGAR and turmeric, cardoman and cinnanmon. It didn't make a bar but it was firm enough in the fridge. It was good. I was thinking of adding some powdered protein you put in a shake to see if it would be firmer. However, do you have any recipes I could make that he can just pick up and eat? PLUS, my oven is broke so if you or anyone here can tell me how to use a fyrer, bake oven .CUSIMAX oven.
Great video! You’re cute. Love your personality and love the outtakes too! I’m very surprised you don’t have more subscribers. This channel is a sleeping giant! ❤️
1 ¼ cup vanilla pea protein powder 1 cup oats 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed 3 tablespoons cacao (or cocoa) powder ⅓ cup dried cherries (can substitute any dried fruit) ½ cup almond butter ¼ cup honey 5-6 tablespoons water 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
OH NO! I have yet to find more than one seed. Sometimes there’s none which is always sus. Hope that doesn’t happen again and that your teeth all stay put!

Glad to see this because quality store bought protein bars cost more than an entire 4 course meal. I didn't know they were this easy. Looks good! 😎👍
Thanks! And I know there’s tons more recipes online! Some don’t supply the nutritional info, so I had to do my own calculating… and from just a few recipes, you could totally start tweaking them for yourself! Let me know if you make any protein bars!
But they actually have a decent amount of protein, unlike these homemade bars.

Love this so much!! So many benefits to making them yourself! 💛
Can you pls share how your day looked like regarding meals and snacks etc and your workout routine
I made the no bake chocolate protein bars with a few substitutions based on my pantry stock(mini chocolate chips instead of dried fruit and cashew butter instead almond butter. These are delicious!! Thank you!
That sounds divine!! Thank you for sharing!!
The first one and the snickerdoodles looks so delicious!
They all sound yummy. I'll have to make them and compare. Thinking they'll be great for traveling.
They’re definitely PACKED with energy!
Lisa, you make it fun. I'm getting ready to make my first bars with a new food processer, thanks so much. Wondering why you didn't include some flaked coconut in one of the bars.
Thank you so much! Hope your first bars turn out amazing! I believe I was just following recipes unless I forgot an ingredient. 😅
Ty Lisa... Let me try these now
You’re on fire! My mouth is watering. And you know I love dates! Ugh! So many good options. Thank you.
I bet there’s so many more recipes out there, too! Just waiting to be discovered by us. 😆
Can't wait to try a few of these. Thanks for sharing and adding ur comments on the taste 😊
Have you tried any yet?? How’d you like them?
I like the veggies in the background ❤ How many calories? Sugar?
Look in the description. I put all the nutrition info for each bar and a link to the recipes.
I want to try these Lisa.
I need ingredients ❤
I wanted to make the second recipe.. but I was like ohhh dried cherries always have sugar added 😫 I see you found ones without it!
YES! I hate that they add sugar to dried fruits like they need to be sweeter. 😜 I found these on Amazon. I can put the link in my Amazon store!
Wow, I love the new ideas of that boring protein bars that we do all the time 😂
Thank you so very much for the recipes ❤😊
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting!
These look amazing. Love you Lisa 😁
Thanks, Eric!! 🥰🥰🥰
What is a cheaper choice for the protein powder? Can we use regular flour?
And thanks for the recipes ❤

Hi, I see some dosing syringe you use for maple syrup and peanut butter, can you share the name or a link?
OMG yes! I only use those for measuring stuff that sticks!
Here’s what I use now: amzn.to/3CusTQE
And here’s what I had in the video: amzn.to/3AACQeX
Thank you Liza, you're big healthy you make..
Can i use banana insted of maple sirup and the other sweets?
If you do, please report back how it went! I’m curious to know if it works well enough. I know I love oatmeal cookies made with just banana and raisins and some cinnamon.
@@LunchwithLisa i will
Oh Man, It was so delicious to even see.
Great video!
Thank you! Which one are you trying first??
Will definitely be trying these!! These protein bars now and days are full of so much chemicals!
Seem like you shoulder use binder for the snicker noodle bar
I made walnuts, banana, oat, honey, milk. Coconut milk, walnuts, maple syrup. Apple.
do you have any ideas for recipes I could make with strawberry protein powder? I've got loads and don't know what to do it haha

@@LunchwithLisa that's such helpful advice thank you, dehydrated strawberry chunks or similar sounds a great idea I'll go ingredient hunting
Found you on Facebook 😊
Hi Adelle! I’m so glad you did! Welcome!

Great tip! Everyone can do what they please of course! I just share what I do.
She still has a lot to learn. I stopped at veg oil on the last bar. Veg oil is the worst thing you could put in your mouth!
I only use olive oil or avocado oil (the veg oil was avocado oil in this instance but I was reading the recipe as is) but thanks for your comment.
They seem more like calories bar rather than protein bars.
They sure do 🤣
I like it Liza, with almond, raised, or apple mix honey. H20
I think you just got a new follower! :-)
WOOHOO!!! 🎉 welcome!! 🤗
Looks delicious but I wouldn't consider it a protein bar unless it had 20 grams of protein or more
I agree! These have crap macros. Now that I know more, I’ve developed other recipes, but even now, I don’t eat protein bars. I just go for the chicken instead. Straight to the source. 😆

I like Optavia protein bars.
I know! Me too! They are so packed with vitamins. I love how they make my eyelid rash clear up.

Thank you! That’s the best comment I’ve gotten in a long time. I really appreciate it.
@@LunchwithLisa it’s the truth. 🙂
Is there any way to not use canned chickpeas? Canned vegetables aren't very healthy
Of course! You can always swap that kind of thing.
luke told me to comment on every video
also this is here in hopes it lets me comment it cause it stopped letting me
Why is the chocolate only 7 grams of protein? My protein powder os 20 grams by itself.
Because it’s per bar or serving, most likely.
There's no measmeasurement for the second bar! That is rude!
1 ¼ cup vanilla pea protein powder
1 cup oats
2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
3 tablespoons cacao (or cocoa) powder
⅓ cup dried cherries (can substitute any dried fruit)
½ cup almond butter
¼ cup honey
5-6 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Today I learned dates can have more than one seed, ope. Nearly broke a tooth haha.
OH NO! I have yet to find more than one seed. Sometimes there’s none which is always sus. Hope that doesn’t happen again and that your teeth all stay put!

I sounded like Santa 🎅🏻🤣
@@LunchwithLisa 🤣🤣
No offense, but those aren’t protein bars. The macros are terrible.
Yep. I totally agree. I’ve learned so much since I made this video.
I made this one more recently:

Wait! The dates are palms!?!?!
Palm trees produce dates!! Yep!!! 😁

talking too much

Maybe I’ll make a silent video just for him. No talking.

Nährwerte saugen leider Arsch :(
Yeah, unfortunately most protein bars have nutritional values that suck ass.
Talking with your mouth full and mouth noise. You're killing me.
Awesome! I’ll be sure to do it more! Thanks 😊
