Excellent video. Others should follow your example.
@@ernestdunwoody6975 thank you mate, I appreciate you saying so 👍
How refreshing is it to watch someone do jobs the right way, especially doing the water pump the Genuine way to spec. Great work mate, love your channel
Thank so much mate, I really appreciate you saying so!
Thank you for showing the whole process.
I’ve been working on Fords since the XY Shakers & had most of them.
These BA are not as much fun to work on though, as I’m on a pension now I have to do all the repairs & services on it.
So once again for making it look easy & showing the whole process.
Thanks for saying so Ian, I appreciate it 👍 I agree that these aren't as easy to work on as the old school Fords, but as far as the modern stuff goes, we have a lot to thank Ford... At least we don't have to remove intake manifolds to replace water pumps, or heads to chance $2 rubber seals - just ask the European guys... Anyways appreciate you watching!
I had to unbolt the heater line that goes in to the back of the water pump and make the mounting hole bigger to make sure it went into water pump. When I put everthing normally the pipe out the back was too short by about 10 mm. Doing the above remedy solved that problem.
The barra is one of the best and most reliable six cylinder engines in the world!
very helpful but i found alot easier to move power steering pump and drop the alternator and then water pump just unbolts easy. .
Appreciate you watching mate, and thanks for the tip!
Did this job on my FG ute. Not looking forward to doing this on my FG sedan haha! Glad I came across this channel! Keep up the excellent work!
Thanks mate, I'll keep the vids coming - hope I can count on your sub
😁👍
@@Horus_Works already subbed the other day!
@@Deano084 thanks legend!
Your presentation and effort are very impressive , well done
Thanks a lot, I appreciate you watching 👍
17:40 OHHHH YERRR im happy water makes you feel that way :)
Very detailed. I like how you made an effort in explaining into detail. =) great job!
Thanks mate, I appreciate you watching and saying so 👍
@@Horus_Works thats all cool. I am hands on person and if I had to do it myself, your tutorials or you how to do this and that would have guided me into completing the task from start to finish😊.
@@radoa4 appreciate you watching 👍
Awesome work
Amazing presentation. Congrats on a job well done. Thank you
Appreciate you saying so, and thanks for watching! 👍
You can pop those caps off of the hose clamps that fome factory if need be
Thanks for the info! I realised this too, but only after I did the whole job - lol. Lesson learnt 😄
That's pretty cool. Always nice to see you do work on the UTE.
Thank you my friend, I appreciate you watching 😀
Great video! I was gonna suggest the compressed air gun attachment as I have one also, they're handy!
The water pump gasket would be a good candidate for a wire wheel cup brush on the end of your drill. Fk spending hours cleaning that off!
Top notch video again. Engine bay looks lovely and clean!
Thanks legend, his is high praise coming from you!! I've seen some of your work on the FB groups and glad to have you here. I appreciate you watching 👍
Wery good job, don't need music, is a pain for me, for lubricating, I will use lubricating spray, not WD40, is formulated to release rust.
Thanks for sharing you knowledge whit us, keep going.👍👍👍
Thank you, no more music 🙂
My Focus Turnier, for a Falcon UTE! :-))
Shame on Ford, we don't have such a cool lowrider truck here in Europe.
That L6 engine with RWD.. the whipped cream and the cherry.
Nice job tho'! Keep cooling this cool piece!
Thanks my friend, I'm glad you like the ute 😀
Adelaide people do not use tap water even if it's filtered. Use demineralised only.
That's interesting... is the Adelaide water that bad? I've got a 4-stage filter on my kitchen tap. The way I see it, if it's good enough for my body it's gotta be okay for an old Barra 😃
Go the green top gasser!, I need to do this on my FG ute.
Last did it seven years ago inc new top and bottom rad hoses and overflow tank.
Thinking to do water pump now also now that I'm at 220k.
Thanks for watching mate, and I hope the water pump swap goes well! 👍
@@Horus_Worksmy FG has started to weep coolant from the o ring on the coolant pipe under the thermostat housing. So I'd change that out too.
How many KMs your ute done? Original gas converter still?
@@sic04250f good call, thanks I'll keep an eye on the o-ring 👍 I've got 335,000ks on her and as far as I know, besides the servicing every ten years, it's the original converter.
only negative on this video is the music uploaded to it, drives you nuts after a while :)
Thanks for the feedback - I've been thinking about removing music in the instructional bits. Might just have to do it as I've had a few comments like this 👍
hey horus! just a suggestion with those hose clamps, you can pull those bits off, and itll be a normal hose clamp :)
Thanks legend, I feel silly - a few people have now told me this, haha! I guess we never stop learning 🙃
@@Horus_Works hey no problem! It’s something I learned myself recently with my wagon, think it’s some sort of warranty thing for em when you buy them off the lot
Hi mate, I'm attempting the water pump job on my Falcon, bought the toledo pulley removal kit and can't for the life of me get the water pump pulley off. It just won't budge. I don't know what the problem is as yours came off like butter
Bugger, just seeing this now... hoping you solved it mate. it's definitely just pressed on, so as long as you have a hold of the metal sleeve on the pulley with the puller tool, don't be afraid to use some force... Mine came off easily, but I'm assuming that if there's any corrosion around that metal ring it might take a bit of force to get it started. That's all the help I can offer mate, hope you got there... 👍
Hi bloke. That bolt at the top right of the alternator bracket/bottom left of the water pump goes in through the timing case and you can get a mild oil leak from there. bloody hard to figure out where the leak is actually coming from when it happens because it's so hard to see directly onto that spot.
Legend!! Thanks for the info mate, that's a good tip! How do you stop the leak - RTV?
@@Horus_Works Yeah bud. A little around the inside of the bolts collar. I was put onto your video when I posted on Facebrick looking for a pulley removal kit other than Ford's expensive tool. I finally found that damned pissy little leak that's been annoying me for months. I thought it was from the timing case until I pulled the pump out yesterday, and found it's actually from that bolt hole.
Great info and well described process in your vid lad... Cheers.🗯
@@dannybevan8093 thanks for the info mate, I appreciate you sharing! And thanks for the watch - good to see that the vid is proving handy 👍
Your Video's are good, you don't need background music it's annoying and deflects from job at hand.😒
You're not the first to say this Anna... I'll have to look into it. I do it to raise the quality of the videos, but maybe it is in the way. 😐
No need to take pully of water pump for removing water pump. New water pump with come with pully fitted.
Yeah people take it off because one of the bolts is just under the pulley but you can manuavre the bolt out and back in with pulley on
Oooooh NO !! Tap Water is a NO NO !! Next time go and get some " Demineralised Water " ...Uses include ironing, cooling systems...
