    • @Horus_Works
      @Horus_Works 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Much appreciated Dave 👍 I could not find the remaining green silicone hoses anywhere - the best I could do was find a Chinese company on Alibaba who makes these hoses from scratch, and ask them to manufacture a set. With the chrome bars, I did polish mine but did not make a video... I found that an orbital polisher, or a battery powered drill with a sponge attachment, plus some metal polishing compound worked amazingly. Although the stuff that comes off the bar goes flying everywhere, and needed a bit of clean up afterwards, so highly recommend doing this outside. Very much appreciate you watching the Falcon vids!

    I agree,I've generally overdone oil changes.Just suprised gearbox and engine as sweet as when new with gearbox top ups to 148K.I was doing engine oil changes every 4-5K miles,but coming out really too clean at that mileage (petrol engines).So now do it around 6k,oil still brownish tint. Fortunate enough to buy new cars last 25 years,guy with my ex car above as been a good experiment to prove regular oil changes really do prolong life of engine etc. Just for interest (or not) its a 1.25 Fiesta 4 cyl.Only major bits its had are 4 suspension arms,and clutch and alternator only just gone,new battery same time.Obviously had brakes and consumables ,but it does'nt owe him anything..!

    Damn the interior is a different story compared to exterior. I really want to get one of these at some point in my life. We got them with the 3.0 (essex) V6 engine in my country. That engine in a single cab 4x4 would be very cool for me. Having a carburated engine and something with a distributor would also be beneficial for me to learn how they work. Small carbs I have worked with, but ones on car are unknown to me.

    Had a car from new,another member of family had it after me.148,000 miles now.Changed engine oil every 6k miles but just changed transmission now at 148k (coz he s tight) BUT engine and gearbox still sweet..!

    • @Horus_Works
      @Horus_Works 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's good to see brother. Sounds like it's had an easy life. The idea behind changing transmission fluid on a regular basis is to make sure it will be fine when the miles get really high. Example: a trans that's on 200k plus, and has had regular fluid changes will be in a lot better shape than one with no fluid changes whatsoever. Depending on mileage per year and the type of use of course, if you can change your trans fluid every 2-3 years, you will likely never need a new transmission.

    Nice Ute 👍 I have a 2007 Ford Falcon BF MkII Ute which runs on LPG. I find them quite reliable for my needs. My only concern is the availability of LPG gas as I know some service stations have removed them in recent years. Anyway I like your TH-cam site which is educational.

I'm in Sydney and people have been telling me online for over 10 years that LPG is going away. Well it has to a degree, but there are still over a dozen petrol stations in my area that sell LPG. in that time, the car paid itself off twice over with what I've saved over paying for petrol.

    Nice job with the video. I was wondering how did you find the trim peices to change the air vents or do you have the model numbers for those parts? Ford territorys would of that model would probably use the same to do you think? Keep up with the great videos they are a big help to people like me trying to learn about fixing things on my 06 BFII.

    • @Horus_Works
      @Horus_Works 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey mate thanks for your comment and for watching 👍 You will find the trim pieces on BAs mostly, that did have the 2 slot vents to begin with. When you grab the vents, grab the trim pieces too... I'm not sure whether these will match the ones on the Territory, but I'm assuming YES...

    Hi, I made this work a couple weeks ago and you can save some time by taking out only the calipers without their holders and make the brake discs to "slide" out (Yes the brake disks can come out with the caliper holders mounted on). Then you can work freely on the bearings.
