    As mentioned taking the tensioner off would be a lot easier, its good to see someone cleaning the old bits with a wire wheel before reassembly, you are the first one on TH-cam that I have seen do that so well done to you!

      Thanks Fawls, appreciate your feedback and positive comments. Yes we live and learn, if I ever do this job again...that tensioner is coming off 😁👍

    What a lovely BF, I have a BF2 dedicated LPG wagon as well in New Zealand but I’m in need of a new or reconditioned converter same as yours. I hope to find one soon.

      Hey James, pretty sure you can get a kit to redo your converter? Might be a less expensive way to go.
      Cheers, Mark

      Yeah bro, you can get kits that fit into your gas converter

    Looks like previous owner stripped the [alloy housing] thread on the original 10mm tensioner retaining bolt then replaced it using a bolt with a 1/2" head. These retaining bolts should be tightened to just 25 NM.

      Thank Simon, the whole purpose of the video was to try help others like yourself. I'm no expert but if someone gets value out of this, then that's my reward.
      Good luck with your project.

    Good job everything is done,only you forget to put heather on to hight position for prevention of traped air in system and after that top up coolant.Two hoses on side of engine going in heather module or HIM module which controling heating in vehicle and that is way heating should be put on hight position for sometimes.

      Thanks for watching Stevan and appreciate your comments. All of those things were done off camera, so rest assured I didn't forget to do it.

    Can cheat and take the tensioner off to change the pulley. The bolt for the coolant bypass pipe is self-tapping, but can still tap a thread if you want.

    Just wondering why the hose from the coolant tank that goes straight over to the top of the radiator is blocked off?

    • @markxtinkering
      @markxtinkering  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't remember which way around it was...but I either replaced the radiator and the top port for that hose was blocked off...or I replaced the expansion tank and it had 2 ports instead of 1, do blocked it off. Sorry for inexact answer but it was quite a while ago. Cheers, Mark

    Was it the tensioner pulley or the idler pulley that was making that marble sound? I have the same noise. Cheers in advance 🙂👍🏼
