My fan belt and water pump broke on the falcon. So decided I’d take you guys with me while I fixed it. Was a bit more to it then what is filmed I went through 3 water pumps 😂😂 make sure you clean your old gasket off ! ! !

A good clear description of how to replace my BA Ford Falcon water pump, which basically seized the other night and pulley got a 'flat spot' and a few missing bits. More work than I originally envisioned, so leaving it to my regular mechanic who estimates it will take about 3 hrs + parts - belt, pump and pulley. Thanks for your detailed description.

Just researching which falcon pump to put on a 2003 BA. Saw this and it confirmed that ford made a big mistake and avoided a major recall on those early 2003 vehicles, that self tapper is only for the November 2003 and later on the sedans heater pipes with the tag to be wrenched up tight by the SELF TAPPER bolt. Our BA is the same as yours , basic ring type washer which gets clamped against the heater hose flange when you tighten the pump against it.
Ford finally fixed the power steering high pressure Hose coming out from under the tank in the FG with support brackets off the motor for the pipes that have for years in fords been wobbling and wearing prematurely. Thanks for the Vid, you made it very clear re/ correct water pumps and for what models.
Yes have been to Repco today and said NO to $73 for a WP they are available at 'parts on line' from a suburb in northern Brisbane called Virginia for less than $50.

kool video man, not gunna lie though, wanted to headbutt you when you took the coolant line off before removing the alternator and dumping some water right into it. the main reason these alternators fail is from water damage from that line.

@@joelhillyer6412 got a new heater core pipe that runs behind exhaust so it would fit the water pump that take the horseshoe clamp

Before installing water pump old gasket should be removed with gasket scraper tool and on both side on gasket of water pump and engine it is important to put tiny selant resisted on glucol colant and lock all bolts with teflon selant or blue thred locker on all bolts with torque wrench 20 Nm and for sure you won't lose colant on water pump join.My Ba falcon pump has on O ring pipe clip and bolts M8 and thead M8 should be threded before installing pump.
