- Replacing the hydrostatic transmission on my second-hand HRX217HXA push mower.
This isn't really a tutorial, more like a video of me going through my thought process. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
i did this job, putting this thing back together was a pain, but I got it.
Muy buen video amigo, thank you!
The decks crack at mount holes for engine also.
I do not know if still have mower, I repaired our mower deck with fiber glasss. It seems to work well.
37:10 incredible speed , thanks
I have found the easier with back wheels tilted in the air. I drain the oil and gas prior to tilting it.
If mine needs replacing I'll take it to the shop. I might break things in the process. Still cutting in the 17 yrs mark.
Its not too bad if you watch someone who actually knows what they are doing.
Hi Paul
Do you happen to have the part number for that transmission?
Great video.

TRANSMISSION ASSY.
20001-VE5-A01
$224.22
Did you get another deck?
6:38 ".. how do you get this thing apart? Should just come right out, right?" lol - ya have to take half the mower apart, and then it "comes right out."
How did you get the u bolt off
I don’t remember a u-bolt.
I like to lay out old towels to work on. Parts don't bounce!
If no one has kept the rear adjuster bushings lubed, all that extra resistance may be why the transmission failed. It needs done every 1-2 years.
Your parts guy is wrong. Grease is the way to go, and that spacer washer isn’t matched to anything. It’s just a spacer.
You never, ever turn your mower over with the carburetor side down!!!
I don’t know, maybe you’re right. I’ve never had any trouble doing it that way.
@@paulmccoy2908Oh he is definitely correct!
If you take it to Honda and show them they put a claim in and then wait to see if they accept or reject it the only issue is you repaired it and you’re not original owner they replaced mine 0 cost
Yep, 5 year residential warranty.
