What are the symptoms of this needing done? Mine is 5 years old. It's an hrx217 k6vla with the versamow. It's making a clacking sound when it's being pushed without me engaging the transmission. I thought a wheel bearing,but a new replacement wheel didnt help. In gravel its dragging that wheel some rather than it rolling( without the transmission being engaged) . When i do engage the transmission the sound whitens down. Please help if you can

This repair is for wheels with lost of power or low power.If you lose power in the wheels but you know the belt is good and the transmission is good, this is the next area to check. The wheel gears may not be engaging properly, clean and oil the gears and check for damage. The grear should make a click noise when it turns if not the key inside the grear is bad or ect.With the mower off can you pull it backwards and the wheels move? If so good , but if not it could be the transmission cable needs adjustment.Please check the area and please let me know. Thanks Bill
