- The T-2 has been kinda in a rough spot (still is if you ask me) but at least now Gaijin gave it some pretty good missiles for the BR! It now gains access to the AIM-9P, which at 9.7 is a pretty great missile, and when combined with the radar (which also has pulse doppler BTW) it can actually let you pull off some pretty cool shots...

if you use more than 2 braincells all those 3 are veeeeeeery ez to kill with this method, first climb to 5km, then dive and cannon spam them brutally, cant evade 20mm spam
@@phantom4E2doesn't work with 2 planes facing you. Sure you will kill one of them easily but the other one will just pull braindead into you and shot a missile at you and you can do nothing against it.

The f-1 is virtually the same, but at 10.3 and has no flares at all
Slightly lighter and has 2 more missiles but has the same issues yeah
Imo move both planes to 10.0 and give them a flare pod like the mig21.

I saw the T-2 buff as soon as it came out because it became unspaded, and I gotta say, the 9Ps slap now. I’m used to the No flare play style, so I’m just having an overall good time. Now watch as the T-2 gets sent up in br and all the fun is ruined.
Or more people play it, the stats tank and it drops to 9.3 😅

Thats why I noticed it as Well, was looking in the TT and thought "where is my spade Symbol"? Saw it, Took it to a flight to grind the Ps and got 4 Kills... 1 with Aim9E and 3 with Guns. The F-1 however almost the same Plane with Higher BR don't Work at all for me, getting constantly slapped Out of the Sky

yeah the T-2 has what I call "swept-wing mig-23 syndrome" which goes as follows: you can point your nose absolutely anywhere you want, but the plane refuses to follow and keeps going in a straight line. lots of fun with aim-9ps especially

I just enjoy flying this plane, the BnZ work's great with it and it's really funny flanking the enemies to atack from the back
Also nobody is talking about b57 getting m39 cannon upgrades. It might not be the greatest experience but as an m39 addicted person I’d love to see how it performs.
It's such a whale, I was excited about that too, but after 4 matches, I was done. I've always heard the British one with 20mm's was a manageable fighter but the B-57 just lumbers around the sky until you get 3rd partied.
It feels like it can manage a 1v1 pretty well, but as soon as someone else joins in and it becomes a 2v1 you are DONE, period.

I fiiiinally unlocked this plane, also my first supersonic. Having a really good time with it. Don't really know much about all the missiles n shit yet, slowly learning more thanks to videos like this. Glad to still be genuinely enjoying war thunder in the type of plane I've been dreaming about for like a year lmao
So what I've learned after watching this video to the end is that the T-2 and thus the F-1 is a Japanese Jaguar, with AIM-9P's instead of Magic 1's or Golfs, an AI radar that has PDV mode, no access to any guided air to ground weapons (unless it gets Anti Ship Missiles), and it has a Vulcan instead of 2 DEFA/ADEN cannons. About the flare situation it would be funny if you could put the rocket pods on backwards to give you something more.

The buff was honestly the highlight of the Sons of Attila update for me, after spending time on life support huffing copium because I bought the T-2 Early (it looks cool :c) I finally have a reason to try and take it out into battles more. The fact that you can radar slave the 9P really helps getting a launch off earlier (and gave me a reason to actually bind keys for the radar)

Just got it after grinding the Japanese jets, and man... I actually enjoyed grinding it once I got the P's and went for the other mods. Sadly, like you said, they have no goal of adding the chaff pods they had irl, you could easily justify them as flare pods and maybe 10.0 br or 9.7 still idk. I would want above all else the GCS-1 JM117 IR guided bombs even if they're "just for ships" and the drop tanks. (It needs more fuel)
I take the Zuni pods with the 9Ps, they work really well in head ons if set to 1000m fuse. They also defend against 9Ls and 60Ms easily
I've been using the FFAR pods as makeshift flares for a while, does the Zuni work better in that regard?
Hey lee you should check out the se vixen as the red tops had a decent buff to them the seeker head has shrunk a bit a actually ignores flares some times
I've already had a few 5+ kill games with the t2 since the update and I've probably play'd only 10 games or so.

I started flying this machine about a few days ago played it last night too after spading my F-40 Sabre for Japan switched to this got the 9Ps and overall had a pretty good night with it I plan on getting it spaded tonight might end up an upgrade or 2 short though as due to work hours I don’t have time to game on weekdays

I saw it last night and my jaw dropped. 9Ps at 9.7, yes please! I fly it out in sim whenever 9.7 is the highest BR. No all-aspect noncery to deal with.
I played a lot the t2 my only problem is no rwr and you encounter r3rs and sometimes an aim7
I’ve heard everyone mention it at one point or another. Mostly just saying to be careful when running into em because they have the 9P now.
Personally I barely saw it, and like, no one seemed to have made a video lol so I figured I may as well
I mean it would be fair to give flares even if it only did have Chaff, but if you also play your cards right you can dogfight in the T2 against things like MiG21's and in some circumstances you can go vertical on things like an F5-C and get the kill.
But no flares = death
I would love to see a video commenting on the G 91YS as well

I'll do you one worse then intentionally crashing to deny an opponent the kill:
In Ground RB once, I jumped in a plane to kill some guy on the other team who was on a kill streak using his CAS plane, on Vietnam. When he noticed me, he started flying back towards his airfield, then when I got close enough to hit him, deliberately crashed into the ground.
He then immediately spawned in a fighter and, because I was still on the enemy side of the map, shot me down no more than 30 seconds later.
I get that it wouldn't do much for Air RB, but Gaijin should change the rules so that intentionally crashing a plane in Ground RB means you immediately leave the game, with the existing timeout penalty.

2:14 deliberately crashing to deny a kill is a violation of game rule 7.1.1 and while it mostly can be tentative as to whether or not it was deliberate, openly stating it in chat kinda voids any benefit of the doubt you had.

90% of my deaths are to radar missiles fired by MiG 21s so I'd gladly take a chaff pod. Bastards always catch me at the worst moments
I always give the kill to whoever damages me to the point of not being able to fly anymore so that incoming kill stealers get nothing.
*whispers* pssst guys, if you equip a single rocket pod it doesnt decrease the performance as much and you have a get-away-from-jail card against all aspects, its more effective than you may think
The rocket pods work like 1 out of 10 times probably cause I used to do that with the British Event Buccaneer S.1 when getting it spaded. Also damn seems like ANY plane you play in WT today you are mostly up-tiered mostly every damn time, that's the way they balance the SL and XP gains for us

9.0 to 10.0 is the worst BR for planes, there are so many of them with all aspect missiles or with an insane amount of Gs and at the same time planes that are subsonic with shitty missiles (gayjin thinks that having an Aim-9 B is OP)
For me i ussually fire the aim9j off at under 2km, 1.3 isn't really nessesary i feel like.

Honestly i don't think the t2 is not maneuverable at all, i think its really is, Ive had times where i just out turn a F-5 in a dogfight or other planes that seem to be more agile, it all comes down to speed tho when you get low speed ur agility just drops so idk its a back and forth thing with the T-2
i think its like the jaguar, pulls really hard but has shit energy retention
crazy how the mg23bn which is also at 9.7 has no missiles or flares, its kind of disgusting that gaijin makes this br a feeding ground for premium players to get free missile kills.
I'd just run a couple rocket pods for flares. It'll hurt your performance but, eh, worth imo, especially over taking rocket pods on something like a 104.

@@evangalinsky2499 Red tail is partially right , the US and Chinese A version don't get rockets, however, the C version gets 38 x FFAR Mighty Mouse rockets, the Chinese G version gets 14 x Hydra-70 M247 rockets and the Japanese J variant gets also 14 x Hydra-70 M247 rockets.
