That’s good to hear because I don’t want to cherrypick the best games to make something look better than it actually is, especially for a stock video like this where i’m not reviewing something per say and it’s genuinely the only games I’ve ever played in a particular vehicle
I love this airplane but god does it suffer. They did use flares on it IRL but it was a sub variant of the F-104J, the mod 2 I think that’s still used for training today, so it can be either a modification or a folder variant and this thing should go to 9.7 at least.
When compared to the Mig-21SMT at the same BR: the SMT has flares, about the same speed and acceleration, better maneuverability, easier to use missiles and overall is much lore capable so at least 10.0 for the F-104J for sure (it used to be 10.7 why Gaijin lmao)
Best plane in my opinion I am so happy it got buffed, favorite plane to fly out, I consistently get an ace in this thing, in my opinion its the best starfighter you can get your hands on, btw huge improvement that it doesnt have flares 🤭

They nerfed RWR even more - it doesn't show the direction anymore. AIM-9P are only good thing about this plane. But people just play MIG-21S with SARH missiles and you are done for
The ‘only good thing’ about it is not even unique to it too, because it’s the same missile loadout as the far more maneuverable F-1 gets at the same BR
On the same plane, I do not know exactly; it couldd be some strange UI type of setting (or a patched bug, as it has been 2 months lol) (apologies for the late reply) but I have not heard of such otherwise
this video summates the exact pain i went through to get the fucking shitty t2, time to repeat that cock and ball torture via dragging my balls through broken glass by playing the t2 with only 2 aim 9ps for the f1 im not even gonna crew, to get the f4 smh. but great video bruv
The problem with jets like this one is that they require an exact playstyle and need exact circumstances to get kills / come out victorious from engagements; this is one of the handful of jets in the game that usually cannot adapt to overcome a situation that has turned for the worst. Which overall makes this a vehicle that takes a quite high skill level (in F-104 platform jets specifically) just to get some kills and have some success, but nothing crazy still
@@xyzhav That is good to hear at least, I have yet to mess around with it enough to get the AIM-9P's myself, so I wonder how much they will improve how it performs
@@BirchNova it becomes OK at best, got a 4x kill in my first gamer after unlocking the Ps which felt insane after a grueling amount of games of at max 1 kills from head ons. One thing I found out after losing one too many head ons to all aspect missiles is that aim9Bs can sometimes lock on to aim9Ls etc from front aspect and shoot them out of the sky, that was alwayss cool to use.
