Apparently doing anything but taking head ons makes you a coward and a kill farmer according to that guy.
It drastically increases his odds from 1% to a 50% chance of winning a fight with anyone, certainly his best shot

I'll never understand the term "kill farmer" in air. The goal is to kill the enemy team. What else am I supposed to do? Orbit my airfield like a fuckin satellite like the 190 did? Absolute bozo that guy.

It's pretty ironic considering those are the same ones that runs back to the af when they are on a disadvantage.
I'm of the opinion that people do that to try and bait the person into taking that fight.
A good player doesn't run home with his tail between his legs whenever he's at a disadvantage. A truly good player will utilize the strengths of his airplane to try and equalize or even reverse the situation and win the fight (I mean, just look at the stuff people like Smigol Time pull off). A good player gives it his all to win a fight, even if his odds don't look good, and whether he wins or dies, he does so while trying to keep the aggression up, not by running away. It may be hard to accept, but sometimes you just gotta take the L.

We’ve all run into a player like that infernal guy, yesterday I ran into someone exactly like that. I’m in a stock su-9 and I go high altitude to go for a b-29, I get a crit on the b-29, stall myself out, then I run into this guy in a f9f that avoids the head on with me and completely runs away even though they had the speed/advantage. Proceeds to be toxic in chat and say “reported for passive behavior”, even though they were avoiding the fight. They ended the game with 0 kills, even calling themselves “a pilot”.
I love the Ki-84s, I was grinding them before the last update but as soon as the Update hit playing my Ki-84 Hei has been absolute pain at 6.3, so much so that Ive opted to just use the Ki-84 Ko as my anti-cas plane of choice for GRB
Update or not, playing the Hei is gonna be a shit experience anyway. 5.3 performance in 6.3, against the p51h

To me this is the perfect Japanese plane. Great maneuverability, good roll rate, amazing stall speed, but also incredibly fast for a Japanese plane. I'm usually surprised at the things I can run away from if I'm in a bad situation. It's basically a Japanese FW190

Would be neat to see you fly the LA-200. I hear you talk about how strong it is at 7.7, yet it seems like a very awkward jet. Yes it’s very fast, too fast for its tier even, but it compresses like a bitch and the guns are terribly frustrating to aim. I’m curious to see how you make it work.
well its not only frustrating to aim, it also does very inconsistent damage with the new RealShitter.
Yeah, La-200 is a weird one. You can outrun and bnz everything you see, but the guns are terrible. Enemies can fly between the bursts because the guns are that slow and of course all three of them shoot at the same time. And then if you miraculously land a shot on enemy that one or more high-explosive 37 fucking mm rounds create an insane amount of damage that is 'hit'. Yesterday i had a battle when i was basically 1 vs literally the entire enemy team and no one was able to catch or even hit me. I ran back and forth for 20 minutes of my fuel and only managed to kill 2 enemies, tho i had countless opportunities to, if only the guns werent sucking ass. Kill to pointing nose on target of La-200 ratio gotta be 1/5 at best. And of course i got killed while refueling and rearming in the last 30 seconds on my airfield when enemy Me-262 got absolutely no damage. Sometimes it feel like im the only one getting sniped by enemy base AAA from kilometers, and any of their hit is deadly enough for you not to land on the base.

I found Ki 84 is flying brick when its getting faster, and at higher altitudes. I found using it in riskier, lower altitude, and energy is the best way I can do and let the flight come to me instead of seeking one
On the japanese .50 cals - They hit like ADENs.
I'd say I'm average to good pilot. Just played the Ki-44-II Hei, in my first 10 games I have 1 death and 34 kills. It is hands down the most OP plane I've played. The 4*12.5mm guns with 1000 rounds are insane.
It is a 4.3 plane at 3.7 performance wise. Japanese 12.7s are arguably 2nd best guns in props at the moment to Swedish 13.2s. This thing used to be at 2.7. Even when the 12.7s were complete garbage flying the Ki-44 Hei was literally a case of couldn't be shot down but struggled to shoot anything down.

@@kingghidorah8106 It isn't that bad now as it can now face things that actually present a challenge but it used to be that bad. When it was 2.7 it was one of the outright fastest planes at the BR, could out climb everything that it saw with relative ease and could out turn most everything that was a monoplane. To fly it when it was 2.7 I fail squaded it to 4.0. I got a few funny reactions then. Not quite as memorable as the entire lobby going nuts when I beat a Yak-3 in a dogfight with a SB2C but still some funny stuff.

Usually it is above you, and you really don't have much to do about it. Happy to see prop content is back on the menu, maybe you gonna cover C.205 Series 3 one day?
you can actually make it go greedy on you or play against it's patience. Ki84 has awful rudder and roll compression making it easy to overshoot if you commit too hard to a dive.
I bought this plane right after getting the m64 in the battle pass, I don't regret it I managed to grind the Chinese tech tree up to 7.3 with these 2 vehicles.
Holy shiet I finished watching the video and that last battle was spectacular!

I've always preferred the Ko, even before they added the HEF rounds, because you get the lowest BR with the same performance, and the decrease in "firepower" is really an increase in ammunition and the option to harass anyone who tries to run from you.

DEFYN, the other day I had this absolutely horrible time in Italy RB, like 4 games in a row getting CASed and/or having the team evaporate. Finally get a decent game start and I spot a Chi-Nu II about to be turned into a mother by an ASU, I tokyo drift to help him only for said ASU to shoot me. Chi-Nu is having the game of his life cleaning house at 5 kills which means he has the scope shoved so far into his sphincter that he forgot what ears were. The ASU had to shoot me 4 times, right next to him with me pinging the map until I died. I wrote in chat "Chi-Nu II you're the blindest bat around", boy did the team explode on me. "Oh he's got 5 kills and all you have is an assist", "oh his cannon is huge and I love it unlike yours", the absolute dream. I've learnt to never expect anything from the team ever again. I'm not even one to chat around, but man sometimes you have to get at least mildly angry.
All this to say, you being toxic once isn't the end of the world, love you to bits man.

what seperates a good player from a mid player is having the self control to prioritize positioning above everything else; choosing your fights is 90% of the game

I feel about the Ki-61 the way you feel about the Ki-84. Just like em, simple as.
Problem with planes like 190 is you are essentialy limited to forcing head-ons vs planes like Ki-84 since Ki basically out-everythings Fw 190 A. Of course Fw 190 A8 gets airspawn, but 84 actually can reach almost the same alt during merge.
And now, imagine how fun it is on all-airspawn maps where you're not only slower, but also merge from energy disadvantage.
So essentialy my way of dwaling with Ki-84 is to 3rd party them or achieve a high speed overshoot. The latter is extremely risky because since ballistics of MG151/20 got nerfed into total Gaijin, so basically they can be dodged easily as long as you have some speed and 300+m distance.
Anyway, the way you've dealt with that Spitfire at the end was exactly what I can't do. You casually took him from pretty high energy state to stalling below you in the span of maybe 30s.
As a Bf109 player, the Ki-84 terrifies me as much as Spacefires. Not impossible to beat, but it feels like doing a very long, tedious circus (and getting 3rd partied by P-51H and F2Gs as usual)

I recently bought this cheeky premium and let's just say its the greatest investment ive ever made on a premium in Warthunder, its fast enough, its got potent armaments, not many things survive your strafe, even less your bombs it turns tight, is survivable enough and just an absolute dream to fly

Ki-84 Hei used to be my favorite when it was at 6.0 br. I compare how it flies more to a La-9 versus a Spitfire. If I was in that Fw 190 A-5 instead of that noob I would have taken you into a dogfight and bet on my flaps extending and retracting faster than yours in a low speed dogfight. Fw 190's are surprisingly maneuverable with takeoff flaps.
What kind of room temperature IQ does it take to pay real money for a premium with as high as possible 1-second burst mass in order to give the best chance of winning full-commit head-ons, then only taking full-commit headons, running to the airfield to preserve K:D *_then calling someone else a K:D farmer_* lmfao

I really don't know how to deal with this plane in my 109. Unless i have altitude i cant do much, they turn well enough to dodge my guns, their 50s make baiting them very dangerous, and they have the usual Japanese stall speed, the worst part is thwy aren't as slow as zeros so you cant really catch them or run away from them.
If you have any advice let me know

That's the common problem with war thunder. Having a useless team, at this point you need to have a massive squad of trusted friends to carry a worthless ineffective team.
