Test drove one a few weeks ago. It's incredibly solid feeling...like carved from ignot. Which is surprising for a body-on-frame truck from a new company. What is funny is there is an EV version called the Fusilier which looks little a little brother G Wagon. Side by side this is much more imposing... even before a 40mm lift and 35" tires.
@@BryanPike The only reason the Fusilier exists is because braindead EU emission regulations require car manufacturers to have certain % of their portfolio electrified. I think in Top Gear they lifted two Toyotas or something and it cost them 500 thousand dollars to do it properly, because a lot of stuff had to be redesigned, and built totally unique parts from scratch.
Big fan of this silhouette - I'll occasionally see one on my morning commute & it's been one of my favorite spots. In person looks great, though at first I thought it was a vintage land rover resto.

I was looking into getting a grenadier. The thing i was missimg from the review was the focus on the quality of the components they used. From the engine to the diffs and shocks. Everything just extremely well built.
I live in southern California and I’ve been seeing a good amount of these throughout the last few months, but I never really knew what it was, glad you guys could finally be able to review it

The design language of this is the most stunning thing I have seen in a while. It's so futuristic but a specific type of futuristic that I really like. Like a more industrial type of futuristic. The dashboard looks like out of an airplane.
Very cool car. Besides the car review, I like to comment on your channel. I watched a lot of car documentaries in my life and currently watching a lot of documentaries about cars and a lot of TH-cam channel car reviews too. You guys are really good. You guys can produce things at a higher level like old-time top gear. Thank you for the fun times that you give to people like me. I wish you all the best.
Not having ANYTHING except warnings on the gauge cluster is brilliant. You're off road. You don't care about anything except what's in front of you, and whether your car is okay.

I remember reading about this years ago. Considering this was steamrolled by one person and made by partners I am actually kind of shocked the price is that low, and it doesn't look really amateurish. If you would have said 150 000 eur I would have not been surprised at all. I work in the chemical industry sourcing and deal with Ineos... I wonder if you will see these in their plants.

Saw one of these in the parking lot (car park) of the Kerry Cliffs in Ireland. Wasn't totally sure when viewed from the side until I saw the little UK/Germany combo flag. Then walked to the back and saw the full name. But I knew and was all because of you guys 😁
I backed out of my reservation and bought a HE Land Cruiser instead. I decided if I buy a solid front axle I’d buy a 392, way easier to mod and not feel bad beating it in the woods. The Grenadier is absolutely gorgeous but getting it on 37s or 40s might be a really tough putt.
You can put 35 for 500 dollars. But try getting 37 or even 35 in third world countries. Since this is a global vehicle and not a US vehicle, I can accept you can't get 37 on without some work.
I ve got my Grenadier now since one year - first edition, last builds. Diesel, B 57 engine. close to 10,000kms Fieldmaster, but rough package, difflocks etc, dual battery and cabling for roof attached. No issues so far. The recirculating ball steering works fine. even on autobahn / motorway, consumption initial 13litres / 100km now 11.5 D 100km. Lowest 10.8D /100km on long distance, - highest 17l D in winter, -8C, hefty off road Mud snow managing myself through forest some fallen trees and fully loaden. It's worth the price. Definitely. A comment - A Jeep Wranger is a rock cat. Not an overlander. Towing capability is limited. G-Class? Was a competitor, the original G class WAS an utility. The last ones were lifestyle with V8 and luxury interior. Current ones are electric only. Where is a Charging port in the middle of nowhere? Recharge it from jerry can? NOPE! If there is any competitor on the market then Toyota. Ford Bronco? Too much lifestyle, gadgets and a few quality issues. Ford may improve this of course. After one year, no regret.. I ordered it at the initial price, got an already mature build of the initial vehicle. Not required to go to agent except for normal service. Recommended: Get the Grenadier a wrap. I did this, transparent .. rocks, chips, thorns .. no issues. However: If you never intend to go offroad,or no towing of 3.5 metric tons think twice before buying this vehicle. It may not satisfy your demands. This is NOT a Softroader or lifestyle vehicle but a serious OFF-Roader. This means it can go on road but its not like a vehicle designed to be for on road only or acceptable for gravel and some light unpaved tracks only.
Well obviously you take a generator with you on the (E)G-wagen, and jerry cans and run the generator to recharge it! Doh. Should only take you about 2 months for a quick top up.
Well, that was a very good review. You guys nailed (okay..mostly Thomas) on what this vehicle is really all about. I have been following the development of this vehicle since the very beginning, now that I own one (Trialmaster) it’s everything that expected to be.
In todays crazy market, this thing realistically looks like it is worth closer to $120,000 considering you can't even buy a new Escalade for under $100,000. I gotta say even though $70,000 is a lot, it is a bargain for something this cool and unique.
Why did you guys not drive it off-road do show us what it can do. You said it was designed for off-road and went on and on about off-road capabilities but then you don’t drive off-road … a big miss.

Literally no one's gonna buy the Fusilier, I doubt they even build them if you wanted to order one. And dont lift cars with cheap kits, you'll destroy them 100x faster because of all the new angles created to the struts, diffs etc create stresses undesigned for. I think in Top Gear they lifted two Toyotas or something and it cost them 500 thousand dollars to do it properly, because a lot of stuff had to be redesigned, and built totally unique parts from scratch.
I'll wait for the coupe version.
They just revealed a 2 door, 2 seat only commercial version 😅

So a Supra?
There has been a Grenadier that I’ve been seeing in my morning commute almost everyday here in Pasadena, CA. Really good looking SUV.
There are two of them on opposite sides of my block in Altadena.
The quality just gets better and better every video. You guys have been killing it for so long
This is everything I could ever want in an over-lander, and really for the price you're getting a true well priced machine!
Big fan of this silhouette - I'll occasionally see one on my morning commute & it's been one of my favorite spots. In person looks great, though at first I thought it was a vintage land rover resto.
It makes the G Wagon look a bit dated.
i saw one of these on i95 a few days ago in blue. it is so sick. i love this thing. really cool that you can tune it easily as well with the B58
I was dead set on a '24 Toyota LC. But then I test drove an INEOS. And now I am heavily leaning to the INEOS.....
It's nice to have this as an option.
Seems like more truck for the money vs. the LC.
I have been binging TH lately, and I clicked this video unknowingly without realising that it's from today. The quality of the video and audio tipped me of.
Lovely work gents!
10:37 every single car maker needs to take notes on that sentence you said
DO A COMPARISON BETWEEN THE GRENADIER AND THE LAND CRUISER !! Opt the mid-teir versions please. Off-road capabilities, fuel consumption, turning circle, price, usability (cup holders, storage, rear loading volume, removable rear seats, towing weigh) add-on options.
Thanks for the videos guys
I was looking into getting a grenadier. The thing i was missimg from the review was the focus on the quality of the components they used. From the engine to the diffs and shocks. Everything just extremely well built.
Why didn't you get a grenadier?
@@vinylSummermy question exactly.
@@vinylSummer Probably is just still thinking about it, not every purchase happens quick!
Uh, off-roading was missing too! One thing I thought they would definitely do. Kinda disappointing
Tractor axles... literslly.
ive been round these in the flesh a lot, I adore them and the philosophy and drive behind them!
I live in southern California and I’ve been seeing a good amount of these throughout the last few months, but I never really knew what it was, glad you guys could finally be able to review it
The interior is my favorite part! If only my truck had that interior!
I saw one of these on the road in NC the other day, and despite not being an SUV person, it struck me more than any design I've seen in years
I saw one in northern Germany a few days ago. I am so amazed by this car! it is just so cool!
they implemented the ps5 main menu "press the circle to go back" sound for the buttons :')
Grenadier owner. My 6 year old told me that the other day…that sound was the same as PS5 and I was like…hmm yea it kind of does. This just floored me…smart kid!
"If you have a big rack you can have whatever you want" classic line lol
Yeah, I loved that as well being an OZ / Englishman who still has a 13yo inside...
19:02 for those that missed it 😂😂
So much cooler than those bloated SUV's. The price is not too bad either for what it is. It deserves to succeed.
SUVs with plastic bumpers that look like sneakers.
The design language of this is the most stunning thing I have seen in a while. It's so futuristic but a specific type of futuristic that I really like. Like a more industrial type of futuristic. The dashboard looks like out of an airplane.
I have had a real Trialmaster with all the bells and whistles for about 10,000 miles now and loving it
The tire cover on this needs to say, “Not all who wander have bad steering”. Awesome video as always. Thank you
Very cool car. Besides the car review, I like to comment on your channel. I watched a lot of car documentaries in my life and currently watching a lot of documentaries about cars and a lot of TH-cam channel car reviews too. You guys are really good. I like the joke that you have at the beginning of each video a lot. In my opinion, your knowledge of the importance of writing, cinematography, and content is at a very high level.
Now I am excited to collaborate with Ineos , as I live full time in the Yukon. ive been abusing my trail hawk but also maintaining it well (love it). I will need more so I can support other people on community projects I create.
I like the switches, very manly. Saw this in the local dealer in my little australian town.
Getting BMW parts serviced on Australia reportedly sucks.
@16:03 BROOHH!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
YOU STOLE THE WORDS RIGHT OUTTA MY MOUTH THERE!!
The first thought in my mind during the interior shots in the first half of the video!!
I'm really glad this channel exists :)
Looking forward to hearing more about the Alfa btw!
Jim Ratcliffe is a very serious guy who is worth around £30bn, essentially from nothing. He's completed a 7 day ultra-marathon across the Sahara desert aged 60. Everything he does is with a purpose and without the ego of at least some of the world's billionaires...
@@TheEulerID Thats Sir Jim Ratcliffe to you
My first impression of its looks before watch the video was the awesome looks of the 70s Landrover you see in movies and TV merged with a G-wagon. Awesome looks, just what I like. Looking forward to see their review. Thanks
I have seen this vehicle in person and I won’t lie it grabbed my attention bcs I was so confused on what it was and I was going all over it. It’s a cool car
I’ve seen a couple of these about here in the UK. They look cool!
they actually sold more of those than Lambos in Germany last year! (949 vs 966)
I love the little icon of a bicycle on the 'TOOT' button.
i saw one of these the other day on the highway and i've become obsessed since.
I had a new G-wagon, I now have a Jeep Sahara. Now I found the car I NEED. Great review guys.
These guys never miss with the intros
I daily drive a Hummer H1. Believe me, this truck ISN'T compromised in the slightest.
Which one?
For whatever reason, 70k USD is less than I was picturing. Dealer markup and options on a bronco can get up in that zone ffs
... A Bronco 😒... who in their right mind, would pay ANY KIND of markup, on a Bronco🤦♂️? And what were they thinking, concerning the baby blue with white wheels🤮...WTF😐
Bronco doesn't even have a solid front axle. It's an CUV in SUV guise.
13:00 This is why I love Throttle House so much. Good morals, with good humor. I’m glad that Thomas and James are not racist and can have a good laugh at these things!
I would definitely take this over a new Defender.
I say this as someone who is not in the market for anything resembling either.
I love it! Always wanted a classic Defender. A new, reliable version is awesome
Yay Harrison fits comfortably. 💯👍❤️. Your doing spectacular bro.
In todays crazy market, this thing realistically looks like it is worth closer to $120,000 considering you can't even buy a new Escalade for under $100,000. I gotta say even though $70,000 is a lot, it is a bargain for something this cool and unique.
The intro is so funny actually 😂👍
I felt so childish with how much seeing toot made me laugh.
Loved this, capability of a wrangler with the heart of a BMW and a soul of G Wagon
Hey. I watched those guys a first time. They sound like original top gear in a good way. I like it.
This is the best comedy channel on TH-cam
By far the best car reviewing duo on TH-cam, bar none.
Why did you guys not drive it off-road do show us what it can do. You said it was designed for off-road and went on and on about off-road capabilities but then you don’t drive off-road … a big miss.
Agree. Did they not allow you to get it muddy? I thought it was about to get to the offroading and then it ended 😞
To be fair, that isn't their area of expertise. Would have been nice to see though, even if they don't have the experience to compare to.
In case if you guys don't know, that INEOS also owns 25% of Manchester United.
I love that the editors tied in a shot that was zooming out with Thomas asking "can you zoom out". Great stuff.
0:52 I'm feeling gearshift patterns with extra ranges for crawling off-road.
I felt so childish with how much seeing toot made me laugh.
An off road vehicle review... without going off road. 🤪🤪🤪
Well it'll certainly be a massive step up from Big Pete if AutoAlex can get one sorted..
Was there talk of him getting one? Or am I missing something?
@@louissanderson719 yeah they mentioned it on the podcast, Rory's reneged on the deal as it's falling apart 😂

I agree - they'll try and get one as a long-term press car I reckon rather than buying
As M140i owner, I approve of this engine:)
