I have done 2000 trouble free miles in mine in the last 3 weeks. 6 hrs in it today no problems, no squeeks, no rattles, no problems. The only problem is parties expecting a BMW X5 in the way it drives, it is a 4x4 not a car on stilts. This is a vehicle that feels like it can drive through and over as opposed to around. It will sit at 80 mph all day. If you have tools you can actually take it apart in 5 minutes, unlike so many of the competitors. Something that I will be keeping for a looong time.
Thanks Joe. I had but released a reservation on one of these. I did the Arizona test drive (about five minutes in low range up and down a modest trail) and the cool factor on these is through the roof. But there were too many unknowns for me to go through with it: 1. I didn't love it enough to sell my 17 LC200 for; 2. No dealer in PHX, nearest in So Cal, 300 miles away; 3. New manufacture reliability risk; 4. No limit on potential dealer pricing markups; 5. Highway mileage 14mpg; 6. Other than cool factor, not as good of overall off-roader as a Wrangler or Bronco because of dealers, support, history, etc.; 7. It was good, but not great in the test drive, the Ineos staff seemed as dodgy as other manufacturers'. One thing on the test drive event, they left the Grenadiers running for the 30-60 minutes between the 5 minute test drives. For cooling? For batteries? Whatever it was, it didn't feel right.
The test drive vehicles were prototypes. Engines remained on all day because each had to be manually programmed/managed properly at startup and shutdown.
"Fieldstream"...."Grenaidier"....how about getting the names right. Bit hard to take your review seriously when you can't even get the names and model correct.

Super cool but you gotta pay to play up here in the GR8 White North fully loaded is $117 800.80 as always Thanks Lori for making Joe look like a class act.
Can’t wait to get mine. Put the reservation very early. Some folks have pulled back their reservations because of what they call unknowns. But when I saw the preproduction units built like a damn tank and felt that familiar steering of a true solid axle front end, it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. No need to go crazy with aftermarket gear to make the loaded up from the factory Trialmaster (definitely with the safari roof windows) provide some serious capability off-road. The other issue that perplexes me are the negative comments about that BMW 58 engine. It’s tuned for torque and not blown out for horsepower. That engine has some of the best core mechanical reliability ratings of any six out there. This thing is gonna last a good long time, no doubt. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Everything was an unknown since this is a brand new manufacturer. People who cancelled reservations because of unknowns were probably never going to buy one anyways.
@@Fedgery007, I tend to agree with you. They were probably just waiting for some justification in the reviews to turn them away from spending the money. Extremely well built making no squeaking noise anywhere from the vehicle when off roading even the vehicle had high mileage on it after being used as test vehicle. (This vehicle was built in Mercedes factory). Think about Tesla making noise on highway driving 😂😂 Reliable B57 & B58 engine was a good choice!!
Ineos Grenadier is NOT shitty SUV, it's OFF-ROAD car and with this in mind it was developed! Most of SUVs doesn't have locked differentials, reduction gears etc. SUV is a vehicle to make groceries and travel with family of four.

This is the story I received from a friend in Romania: They are looking like Land Rover Defender but they are not cheap at all. A very rich English guy (a bear maker or something) was so sad when the old Defender version has been retreated as he went to Land Rover and asked them to sell the old Defender's production line in order to let him to continue to make Defender. They refused his offer and he was so determined to make a Defender looking car as he made his own 4x4 company. What you see has a BMW 3.0 diesel engine, an automatic gear box made by ZF, a Magna Steyr (one of the most famous European parts and car maker - Mercedes G Klass is made by them) 4x4 system. The price is much bigger than the old Defender's price used to be.

Really cool I love these vehicles. What did you think? Did you know about the little horn button that's for pedestrians red button on the steering wheel on the right hand side? It's a different horn than the normal horn. It's for pedestrians or people on bicycles. It's not as loud. Kinda cool. Rare hats also has a full down table on some of the options. Where the spare tire is on the inside there's a table that folds down.

It is a really cool vehicle, i went to a drive event in California. I liked that they had one tilted up on a ramp so we could see underneath it at the drive event, it really has some beefy stuff underneath it seems like they used some high quality/spec components BUT some of the overseas reviews from people, it seems like it needs some fine tuning between features flat out not working, interior bits coming apart, warning lights mysteriously coming on with no codes, parking sensors beeping all the time etc. So there are known bugs to sort thru but then there are the unknowns of it just being a new vehicle and the lack of support. I live in Southern California and there are two dealers but they are both about 80 miles from my home. I had a 2016 BMW I bought brand new and it was broken all the time. There is a BMW dealer about 15 miles from my house AND they provided loan vehicles and it was still very frustrating to be bringing it in all the time. I have no idea what the service experience will be like with one of these. If it breaks under warranty will I have to deal with getting it 80 miles to a dealer and then getting myself back home? Will I be without any vehicle 80 miles from home? There are a whole lot of question marks around the ineos Grenadier. Kudos to them for effort, but for over $80,000 the way I would spec it, I would hope for a great customer experience and from what I can tell it doesn’t seem that great with the roll out up to now. $80,000+ is a lot of money, if they fold up tomorrow, what are we left with? Also I wouldn’t call it “luxury” by any means, the engine is perfect for a work/utility vehicle but “luxury” to me is excess, there is no excess of power on this thing. To me “luxury” is having rear seat air conditioning and power seats. This has none of that. So I don’t know where “luxury” would be used on this.
@Fedgery007 I don't care if I'm getting groceries, off-roading, racing, or driving the damn get away vehicle, I better get some automatic seats if I'm paying over 80k
No gauge cluster is a deal breaker on such an old-school looking, rugged offroad vehicle. Also, this vehicle with the BMW turbo inline 6 is fairly underpowered for such a massive vehicle, especially at this price point. Would rather get a GX.
I'm almost sold but it doesn't have a driver cluster i prefer watching my own gauge rather than on the center infotainment. Also it is expensive bronco and wrangler are more capable offroad cheaper to repair too.
Well you can buy a 70k bronco with a plastic automatic transmission drain pan. And have a wrecker bring you home while waiting 2 months for a drain pan.
Love the look, do not like the center Tablet style gauge at all, even though Recaro is a name brand seat they usually don't feel comfortable to me after a while, they seriously need electronic lumbar and adjustments up and down like others of this caliber especially for long range driving. Most people will never go seriously off road in these so creature comforts are a necessity. I also thing the steering wheel should be just as adjustable for shorter people, IDK just my opinion.
I just got back from a 2600 mile round trip to Seattle and back to LA in my 2012 Wrangler Rubicon. Almost 12 years old. 96K on the clock. It has solid axles, body on frame, lockers, disconnecting sway bar etc. On regular gas, not super, I averaged 21 mpg over the trip. This new Ineos - body on frame, solid axles etc just like my Wrangler. But the Ineos averages 14mpg on super! It is not more capable off road - less ground clearance, no disconnecting sway bar, and worse on road - slower, 14mpg, really sluggish steering. Basically Ineos has released a dinosaur. A very cool looking dinosaur. Once the novelty factor has worn off, so will the interest. Just wait for the comparison tests against the new LandCruiser/GX, Bronco, latest Wrangler.
Without a dash, it could be easily converted into an English vehicle. Just move the steering wheel and the pedals, and you're all set to drive in England. 😊
I think this will be my next vehicle. I’m just wondering if it’s a BMW powertrain can we get theses serviced at BMW that would make or break this deal for me because it seems like the dealerships are very spread out and not very easily accessible for service.
Going with the bulletproof B58 in-line six and ZF tranny was a great decision. If it's good enough for the Toyota Supra it's good enough for the Grenadier.
I’m not feeling that dashboard setup or lack of it but beside that it’s a great truck but it’s the economy all about the economy at 8 % interest buying a new vehicle right now is a tough pill to swallow
@@RaitisRides I'm certainly not knocking it. It's seems like a cross between a Gelandewagen and a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It'll be interesting how a new player breaks into the market. And I fully support new start-ups.

What a Defender 110 Used to be But I Still Like the New Defender 110, More. The I.G.F. Should Have a Heads Up Display For Speed & etc.
This is very interesting.
Love the retro style with the old school knobs, but the manual seats? That's a huge ZONK for me 🤔
Everyone has the things that are important to them!
It’s a 4x4 off-road vehicle. Not a grocery getter.
@Fedgery007 I don't care if I'm getting groceries, off-roading, racing, or driving the damn get away vehicle, I better get some automatic seats if I'm paying over 80k
You can wash the interior…less electrics is better
@@DomSr Typical lard ass American requirements
No gauge cluster is a deal breaker on such an old-school looking, rugged offroad vehicle.
Also, this vehicle with the BMW turbo inline 6 is fairly underpowered for such a massive vehicle, especially at this price point. Would rather get a GX.
Everyone is going to have their favorites!
10:09 since the grenadier is powered by a BMW Turbo I6 engine just like the Toyota Supra can it be serviced at a BMW dealership??
That is a great question!
Any Bosch certified shop could service. INEOS has a fully exploded electronic shop manual.
We hope these cars are abundant in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦🇸🇦
Nice SUV
I am glad that you think so.
Land Rover Revamp. Defender 110 It’s just perfect
Glorious.
Glad that you are digging it!
For those who want a G wagon but don’t wanna pay that G wagon price ❤
Honestly looks better than a G wagon too so win win in my book
Really ilike this review
Mother can we have a Land Rover defender?
We have a defender at home!
Defender at home:
That is cool!
@@RaitisRides exactly!
B58 with ZF8speed is perfect.
This is how Defender 110 should be like.
Can’t wait till you get your hands on the amg GT 2024
I did think of that! Great point Mickey!
Um….just buy one in England.
wonderful
Thx ☘️
I think this will be my next vehicle. I’m just wondering if it’s a BMW powertrain can we get theses serviced at BMW that would make or break this deal for me because it seems like the dealerships are very spread out and not very easily accessible for service.
💯💯💯
Thanks Jimmy!
When I hit the lottery!!!!
Going with the bulletproof B58 in-line six and ZF tranny was a great decision. If it's good enough for the Toyota Supra it's good enough for the Grenadier.
Never seen one, never heard of them. 🇬🇧
Where can I get one. This would be perfect for Alaska
I’m not feeling that dashboard setup or lack of it but beside that it’s a great truck but it’s the economy all about the economy at 8 % interest buying a new vehicle right now is a tough pill to swallow
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one.
Is same ingine on Toyota subbra
Interesting, but it picked a tough, crowded arena to play in.
This is true but I think they have some interesting touches.
@@RaitisRides I'm certainly not knocking it. It's seems like a cross between a Gelandewagen and a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It'll be interesting how a new player breaks into the market. And I fully support new start-ups.
Looks like the original defender
Time code 09:02 - WOW!!! I finally saw LORI today - through her reflection on the back of the vehicle😍😍🥰
