It's even odder that it ended up *anywhere* to begin with rather than, you know, destroyed after the egregious casualties it caused in the Exar Kun war. It apparently *can* be destroyed by regular blasters once it's no longer operational... the old Jedi just seemed to have elected not to for some reason? I always thought that it would have made more sense that Dooku found the plans for it somewhere else in some hidden/forbidden Jedi/Sith Archive or Holocron and was just building it in New Jers- I mean Raxus Prime to keep it secret and there was a lot of raw material around, possibly even really old components that might've been necessary.

@@manwithaplan5503 Unfortunately the Great Sith Wars aren't covered in a lot of material. Only the Tales of the Jedi comics, references in video games like KOTOR and Clone Wars (2002), and sourcebooks go over the war. It's a shame because the comics are really cool, and you wouldn't know it by how they're told but the Great Sith War was basically like 3 or 4 years with the final year being the most notable part where Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma met and organized their armies against the Republic. I would kill for more content elaborating on that period, but Disney messed up the canon, and I'm not a fan of their universe or their writers.

My favorite part is honestly how consistently everyone has their lightsaber out. Mace wakes up, turns on his lightsaber, goes to the ship, turns it off, gets in the ship and flies to the surface of the planet, turns his lightsaber on to get out of the ship then turns it off to get into the tank. Turns it on as he leaves the tank to get into another ship where he turns it off. Gets out of that ship and turns it on to walk to the tank then turns it off again. Then he gets out of the tank to talk to some soldiers so he has to turn it on before he gets into another ship to fly somewhere else where he must turn it off.
Why? I just don't understand why he would bother doing that.

A small detail in one of the cutscenes I noticed that's actually pretty cool was during the briefing to the clones before the Thule mission. As a kid I thought it was funny that they had only 50 clones in that room, like that was the whole army that they had for the Thule attack, but as an adult I noticed all those clones are marked with red (Lieutenants) or gold/yellow (Commanders). In real life a military briefing like this would be shown only to the officers, who then disseminate it later to the lower ranked soldiers under their command. Pretty cool how they followed that with the clones ranks.

Honestly I love the dark reaper by a video game narrative stand point, it’s a ancient unstoppable super weapon, at the beginning of the game you only get a small glimpse of its core.
Later you see this monstrous core in action, and that’s only a battery for a much greater monstrosity. The entire story revolves around this core, and in the final battle with the dark reaper, your not shooting at dooku, your shooting that same core from the beginning of the game.

Man I remember playing this game with my friends back in the day. we would always to 2v2 conquest and the teams of two would often discuss strategy. the most common one was have one player build up the home while the other player rushes to the middle. It got some early fights going and whoever won the middle was often time the winner. One time however this meta was shaken. Team... Blue we'll call them Had captured the middle, Team red was a bit demoralized but had a plan. Team red gathered all of their troops at their HQ and didn't attack only defended. Blue team thought this was going to be easy pickings, they sprinted forth and skirmished with the bases. But after one was destroyed, Red set their plan into motion. Red had trapped the blue players in the outpost they destroyed by rushing in and gunning them both down. After this was complete. the Red team pushed Up on the D pad. and all 8 of their troops sallied forth and charged as one mass. Blue's attempt to stop them didn't pan out. They were encountering defeat after defeat trying to stop the Red mass. And thus Blue had their fate sealed. The Blue HQ was being over run by the Red mass. and their HQ was destroyed. Red had won the game. and shook the meta.

I LOVED CONQUEST MODE 2v2. The meta in my friend circle usually was 1 player economy focused keeping the turrets up while the other harassed picking off a turret from each post and hitting the HQ in drive-bys. Separatist was kind of broken though cause on some maps you could fire the AAT without a lock and damage the HQ cross map. This game mode induced the love I have for PC RTS games today.

I remember this game so vividly.
I remember being upset that you were only on foot for a select few missions, and the rest of the game was relegated to vehicle gameplay. But I thought it was an interesting and fun game anyway, and had a blast with it at the time.

Man, it’s been years since I saw this game!
Always loved the weird hover tank gameplay. Just felt GOOD to strafe around like that. Also, the gunship was fun, because you could hold down all the buttons and turn the game into a disco.

This game was an instant buy for me the moment they added to backwards compatibility back in November. It's one of those few games for me that really give you a big battle scale. All the stuff on Thule was incredible for me.

I have a playlist called “a sleeping video”. This is the only video in the playlist. I listen to this to fall asleep 3-7 nights a week.

I have a similar playlist called "a shower video". Difference is, besides what the title implies, its Internet Historian's 'fall of 76' video. Its just the perfect length for a shower, and its damn fun to listen to! XD

I forgot about this game. It was really quite fun as a kid. I remember liking playing as the walker, even though it was pretty challenging. But yeah, the transport was a lot of fun. Those laser beams were so satisfying.

I'm happy to know that people remember this game I use to play that bad boy on the GameCube and was one of my first games

Oh, also, the academy vehicle map had a cave. When I played this with my sister we'd always take the tanks and hide in there, popping out to kill some enemies then letting our shields recharge. Most of them couldn't be able to get inside :'D

I did the same thing. It was the only way to survive.

Dude same, you could get to ridiculous wave numbers that way. Only the hailfire droids could reliably get inside, and a narrow band where you could be shot from outside meant it was a great holdout.

Even better is that the walkers could scale the inside of the cave so the mortar tanks can't hit you. So you pop your plasma shield, shoot all your mortars, then scamper back. So much fun.

I was actually just thinking about this game a week ago! I remember it being such a fun little game and I loved how the battles occurred and created a larger scale than most games have you
I think it’s honestly a good game. The idea of having these massive battles with groups of friendlies and enemies battling it out as you play the game

I like how half the issues that he's dealing with in this game are because he's running a 60 fps emulation of the game, so the physics, gamespeed, and enemy AI are way more aggressive and damaging.
