I don’t wanna sound hyperbolic but this belongs in a TH-cam hall of fame lol. The production value, the humor, the quality. A tour de force of editing and planning lol
Funny, too, as apparently (though it's all rumors and hearsay, you'd have to do some digging to find the original source) JT hated making most of it. His sponsor (which most assume to be the mouse himself based on the timing and amount of copyrighted material he was allowed to use) was cutting jokes he liked left and right, forcing him to make ones he thought were bland, and so he basically did the bare minimum. And yet, his bare minimum at this budget was immensely entertaining, possibly the best thing he ever made. With humor he didn't like being some of his best gags.
Perhaps Jontron was always a creator meant for this sort of thing, tight and curated. A reviewer on a leash. If anything, he was holding himself back by NOT holding himself back
I talk like he's dead or something but I just find his content past like...howling II to be incredibly unfunny and low-effort, barely a step above reaction channels. And, you know, he's super racist apparently. I guess always has been if you look back. Glad he doesn't make a fuss about it, no JK rowling style decent into extremism, but still off-putting to think about.
@@ReddCrystalI agree with you but there's one thing I actually appreciate about Jon he view himself as a showman for pay which is what he is instead of acting like he knows better than the average guy he just does his job well
@@ReddCrystal That stuff about Starcade makes so much sense. Always felt the series was really watered down in humour compared to his other videos at the time.
I’m a simple person. Jar Jar’s Jar Jar Jar was some fantastic humor.
I like how all the episodes combined make up literally an hour and a half; literally movie length

His knowledge of Star Wars, at least at this time, seems to only be from the original trilogy and maybe some of the prequels, but he probably just completely forgot or chooses to ignore what the prequels were about, due to them being considered bad for most of his life.
