Freddy is easily the most twisted and Chucky is very consistent when it comes to character development...it helps when you have the same actors portraying these characters in almost every film!
I agree Brad Dourif and Robert Englund are both incredible actors especially in their most famous monster roles.

Misery is one of my absolute favorite King novels. I had the pleasure of reading it before seeing the movie. Kathy was amazing. She played Annie exactly how I pictured her in the book.

I recently watched the phantasm movies instantly became a fan after watching all of them
I agree, the first two are the best for sure and the rest are solid. I recognize after the first two they're not great movies but I love them. Even Ravanger but i love that one for all the wrong reasons.
Also I dont mind the obvious plot holes or inconsistencies in this series like it would others, because the whole thing is kind of based on "is this real or not? Guess we'll never know for sure"
I love the first 3. After that they was just ridiculous "BOY"
I like the third one best lots of lore in it
One of my favorites has to be Patrick Bateman. He's an incredibly complex and multi-layered character (much like the person he's inspired by, Norman Bates) that you'd expect to be this charming lover type of guy but that is actually a disturbed maniac. What I love is that there's always this slightly arrogant, commanding undertone when he's talking to other people. Also, he's unintentionally funny.
The novel by bret Easton ellis is incredible
i hate patrick bateman but everyone have theie own opinions.

Bale based the way Bateman acted on Tom Cruise in a David Letterman interview.

Pinhead needs more love , minus some rough movies he is always bringing the pain . Consistency is surprisingly a strong suit for the character despite no consistency with quality in films
I love that you considered a few non slasher characters. They wouldn't necessarily make my top ten list but the fact that they made yours adds so much integrity to your channel.

That's what makes it sad Candyman being the least talked about when he's up there with the likes of Freddy, Jason and Michael I always say Candyman and Pinhead don't get there dues when it comes to horror villains.
I agree with that. Candyman is underrated and I feel like the only reason he isn’t as recognized is because his look isn’t as cool as Freddy, Jason or Micheal

As a Myers fan, seeing Michael at 10 does not bother me in the slightest, it's enjoyable to see how different these rankings can be
As you know I would put Mikey at #1 but no worries, I am actually surprised you put him on the list at all :). people always scream that the Hannibal franchise isn't horror, but they forget that it is irrelevant. Hannibal = a horror icon, regardless if the movies are pure horror or not. He's a horror icon.

Decent list, I think if I were to do one these days I'd have to make a spot for Sam from Trick r' Treat. One movie and he solidified himself as the curator and rule enforcer of Halloween.

You’re the man! 😎👍🏻 Frankly I’m not surprised that Michael Myers made it to #10 at the bottom of the list if only because of the various masks and some sequels that didn’t really do well with the majority of the fanbase as far as I’m concerned. I wasn’t expecting Amy Wilkes from Misery but because of the Oscar Winning performance from Kathy Bates it’s no secret why she’s an evil and psychotic villain throughout the movie. Norman Bates and Candyman never really appealed to me to the extent of watching those movies. Freddy Krueger and Chucky are my personal favorites because they have such great, entertaining personalities that had me scared but laughing at the same time within all of their movies in their respective franchises. Thanks again Cody and i hope you had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving! 🍽🦃
tbh, I have a lot of horror movies I still need to watch or re-watch, but I have to say, Sam from Trick R Treat is a big favorite of mine. it's mainly because his design is the perfect balance between creepy and cute, and I love stuff that mixes those two things together.

Even as a kid, I always love these type of nightmares. Life long horror movie fan. It's like a horror movie IRL. A real nightmare is accidentally rear ending a Lambo.. that's fear!

Chucky will always be my number 1, Jason number 2, but Candyman is my number 3. I have a big soft spot for tragic villains and Candyman is arguably one of the most tragic and frankly understandable in his vengeance, looking for his lost love. Just like your story with Pennywise, Candyman got under my skin as a kid. I’m glad he’s finally starting to get some love. Tony Todd is just as classy in real life too.

A very underrated character that I have always loved is Captain Spalding from House of 1000 corpses and the Devils rejects.

Cody cody we Hannibal fans have been hoping for a 4th season of that amazing show since it ended. I don't think it's gonna happen as much as I would LOVE to see that 4th season I just don't see it happening. Which is a shame because Mads Mikkelsen is probably the only guy outside of Anthony that can play Hannibal so damn well.

In my past, I have seen some horror movies at the wrong time and place. But there’s one movie that scared me the most is Gremlins. And when time moved on, I’ve also seen Scream and although it was creepy and at first, I didn’t understand the concept of it. But now as I got older, I realized that the plot of some horror movies that are supposed to be scary and intense. However, there’s one horror movie that peaks my interest and that’s Freddy vs Jason. I like to see any type of horror icons fight each other to death.
Pretty good list. I'm a little confused though as to why Pinhead is on your video cover art, since he is not even on this list. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall any reviews for the HellRaiser franchise; alas, this threw me for a loop.
Theres a few characters on the thumbnail that arent in the list. I always put a few things in the thumbnail that are popular but dont make my list because I dont want the entire ranking spoiled in the thumb.

The Annie Wilks argument is the same as "Pamela Voorhees is scarier than Jason because she crazy" they're all crazy but some are physically imposing

My top favorite horror movie villain is from the 1990 movie The Guardian. Camilla scared the crap out of me when I was younger and even though there's characters I like more than her as far as who they are, their looks, and style, but she's number one because she's the scariest truly imo.
Glad to see pennywise in there, he is my favourite. The ankle breaking scene in misery gets me every time.

My favorite would be Death itself if you consider Final Destination films as Horror over thriller.
Also Tony Todd being the mortician makes it even creeper. Otherwise, I'd go with Freddy as mine. I met Robert 2xs in person, and he's awesome in person.
To comment on Michael Myers’s. I prefer the original Halloween but as far as sequels go I like the 2018 version much more. Obviously it has its problems but I don’t like the story of Michael being Lori’s brother. In 2018 he just kills to kill and you see that a lot in Halloween kills too. It makes him much more terrifying. Killing with no rhyme or reason.
