    Homemade Keto friendly raspberry jam would be a nice filling alternative; saved to my recipe repertoire.

    Thanks for the Recipe. Because of the great "Cream Cheese Shortage of 2022" I stocked up (for no good reason) and have 4lb sitting in my fridge, and no idea what to do with it. This gives me a great excuse to make these.

    Thanks for the recipe, Janet. We only use coconut flour so your recipes are great for us.💕

    Okara Flour is an alternative to Coconut Flour for anyone who just hates the taste of coconut flour in certain recipes. It acts the same without the flavor.

      No unfortunately coconut flour cannot be substituted with any other flour. It is very absorbent and requires a lot more liquid and binders.

    I was so excited to make them. But they came out falling apart. I let them stay in oven 1 hr to cool off. White under and couldn’t hold the shape. Your recipe asked for 16 oz cream cheese way more than need. Also I had to add 2 C of the flour to hold into a ball shape. Not sure if recipe ratios were right

    A&P grocery stores sold Spanish Bar Cake in the 60's. Do you have a low carb version? TY

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I know of Spanish bar cake it is basically a layered spice cake that is baked in loaf pans instead of full-size cake pans. If this is what I'm thinking of you can use my spice cake or carrot cake recipe (just omit the carrots) and bake it in Two 8 x 4-inch loaf pans instead of the 8 x 8-inch cake pan. You can use my vanilla or cream cheese frosting for the layers

    What can I use instead of eggs?

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best egg substitute for this recipe is flax egg. You can also check out my article on egg substitutes that work with coconut flour janetsdeliciouslowcarbkitchen.com/egg-substitutes-that-work-in-low-carb-baking/?amp=1

    • @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen
      @JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No almond flour is not a 1 to 1 substitute for coconut flour. Coconut flour requires a lot more liquid and eggs. You would need to almost double the flour if you used almond flour in this recipe and no guarantees it would work

      Eggs are best with coconut flour but you can check out my article on egg substitutes. The best egg substitute are flax eggs in my opinion. Just keep in mind any substitutes in a recipe can slightly effect the taste and texture. janetsdeliciouslowcarbkitchen.com/?s=egg+substitutes

    Hi Janet, I just found this video and the Danish looks yummy. On the nutrition count, 1 Danish is 1 g carb and 15 calories, is that correct? They both sound low to me, but I just started keto a few days ago so I am double checking everything, thank you so much

      Unfortunately almond flour is not a one for one substitute for coconut flour. Coconut flour requires much more liquid and eggs. You can try possibly cutting the amount of eggs and liquid in half and working from there but no guarentees

    I'm not sure about this recipe sounds like way to much sweetener? To much Sweeteners are not good for the body. I personally have no interest in this recipe because of over dosing sweeteners. My opinion only. Please don't take offense.
