    Word of advice. If you have a dishwasher, put whatever you want to spray with oil on the open door of the dishwasher, so whatever sprays outside the mold will fall on the door and will be cleaned when you wash your dishes.

      Just ran across your video. I really enjoy the fact that you stay in the moment with every step and not concern yourself with the outcome of the result, but the process of doing something new, whether it works out or not. • @christineconley7903
      @christineconley7903 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      I use allulose. It isn't as sweet as sugar, so you might need to use a little bit more. It also has some added health benefits. Another good thing about it is that it doesn't crystallize when making sauces and jellies.

    • @jbeargrr
      @jbeargrr 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      I use allulose, it's a very fine granulation. Very close to powdered sugar. I use it instead of other powdered sweeteners. It dissolves easily, and doesn't tend to re-crystalize like erythritol does.
      All of the "monk fruit sweeteners" are either erythritol or allulose, with a smidge of monk fruit to boost the sweetness. Monk fruit is way too sweet to use alone and has a bad aftertaste just like artificial sweeteners, if you use too much.
      It may also have some additional health benefits, but there's not enough info on that yet.
      Both allulose and erythritol are naturally occurring sweeteners, not artificial. Avoid aspartame and sucralose. Both are bad for your gut biome and sucralose has been found to be causing environmental damage as well.
      Splenda is sucralose. But they're branching out into other sweeteners, like the erythritol & monk fruit one you just used. That one's fine. Just read the ingredients on those labels so you don't get something bad for you.

    Thank you so much for the work and effort you put into your videos you are fun to watch and you make things real. don't pay any mind to those people that constantly tell you if you have ADHD. those are people that do nothing with their lives but sit in front of a device watching videos so the only thing they are capable of is criticizing. put them in front of a camera to do anything and they will fall apart. thanks again we appreciate you

    I made these donuts and they are fabulous!! I think they would be great as small muffins also if you don't have a donut pan. They would also be good without the glaze/frosting since they have cinnamon and nutmeg in them. Great recipe Dave!

    Piping tip for when you make these for yourself: Stuff the bag into a large glass or plastic drinking cup and drape the edges over the top Then you'll have both hands free to scape the dough into the bag! Then cut the corner. (You can also use a plastic food storage bag, one without the "lock" on top. Just close it off by twisting the top shut. Though you'll have to keep a hold of that twist to make sure the batter doesn't come oozing out. The best thing about this way is, as you squeeze the bag, you occasionally twist the top more to force the batter down as you use it up.)
    These look tasty, may try them tomorrow! Loved the vid.

    Holy moley... these were too dang good!! I followed recipe, except I used allulose for the donuts. Instead of a wet glaze, I just rolled my donuts while still warm in a mixture of 1/4 Cup dry cinnamon mixed with 1 cup monkfruit blend. The recipe made 12 donuts for me. My kid ate 3 of them😊!!!

    • @paulettermitchell9923
      @paulettermitchell9923 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jenniferbryner Nope, that is correct. For the perfect ratio of cinnamon to sugar/cinnamon it's 1:1/4. I researched and that was deemed the "best" cinnamon sugar mix. But, feel free to adjust to taste. You may find it strong, but my family found it was spot on.

    Made these again today. Yum. Made a double batch which gave me 12 large doughnuts and 12vsmall muffins filled with dried raspberries and chocolate chips. You and chat GPt rocked this recipe. I had to cook the muffins 5 minutes longer because they were denser and deeper than the donuts. I think a muffin top pan would work really awesome

Tiny issue. They are a bit wet. I baked them 3 minutes extra(total 21 minutes) but still wet. I would make them again. Thanks for the recipe and the entertainment.

    Just made these tonight, came out lovely, I used only 3 eggs, and replaced 1 egg with a 3 tbsp of sour cream. The plastic bag was a fail for me because the bags I have are weird at the bottom, long story, but yeah, I recommend using a proper piping back. I also did my icing different, used choc zero white chips, (4-5oz), with a tbsp of coconut oil, and added a few drops of red food coloring to make pink & sugar free sprinkles on top.

    Hey Man. As someone else who tried keto to try to lose weight, huge word of caution. Don’t do such a high-fat keto diet. It can cause you to lose your gallbladder. I learned that the hard way. It almost killed me, and after having my gallbladder removed, all fatty dishes now give me the runs. If you’re going to do keto, take it easy on the heavy whipping cream. Look into the full-fat or 2% Greek yogurts and cottage cheeses instead. Avoid heavy whipping cream, cream cheese, etc.

      Did you have your gallbladder checked before starting keto? Because when in ketosis, your body coverts fat into energy….. and doesn’t store it.
