You are so right, there has been bread since human existence. That's why bread has a separate history and a separate civilization.
You put so much love into making these rolls, it's a joy to watch even though I have made bread and rolls of all sorts all of my life. My grandfather was a Bäcker- und Konditormeister (master baker and confectioner). He taught me when he was only a few years younger than I am now. I was forever getting in his way as a kid so he put me to work - at first to keep me occupied with something useful and then because he saw I really liked learning from him.
There are many such videos out there but this one is the best I've seen because you really show every step without "acrobatics" or fancy tools and crazy music. The only thing I do not like about this video is the plastic flower on the work surface. It's not necessary and it doesn't look nice either. I know, so many do this now - put up all kind of decorations, plastic flowers, scented candles, lace napkins and whatever else... Doesn't make the recipe any better or the video any more interesting. It's your recipe and your skills that make the video a good one. You have both - no need for anything more. Just rely on your love and for your work and your skills to make it something wonderful. 🙋🏻♀Best wishes, Lisa

Of course you can use a mixer. It would be much easier. Since not everyone has a mixer at home, I knead it by hand in the videos. Unless it is a special recipe, steam all the breads. Yes, put the water bowl at the bottom of the oven. Thank you for this nice comment.

This bread looks delish and quite easy to make! May I know how it'll affect the development of the bread if the butter is omitted?
The butter makes the bread even softer and more crumbly. If you are not using butter, after dividing the dough into meringues, brush a little olive oil on each meringue with a brush. After the dough has rested, it will be very close to the consistency of butter.

You are right, but if we make too much bread while shooting, we need to use a wide angle camera and it will not be fully understood. Prepare the dough by folding the proportions and bake it. This bread is worth it. Thank you for this nice comment.

You left out the part where you place a pan of hot water in the oven when baking the buns. Its the humidity that makes the bread crispy.

Natural yeast bread is very delicious. But it is a bit sour and the fermentation time is long.

@@FastEasyDelicious1 Is 15 minutes enough to bake by your recipe? Due to their small weight and size? I baked with natural yeast water on 2 plums + 1 apple + particle of lemon. On my opinion sourdough on yeast water was quite well raised on second day and it is better in taste than developing 5-7 days long sourdough which indeed contains a lot of sourness and leaves a lot of waste sourdough. Plums should be with whitenish on surface of skin which tells about natural yeast colony presents there.

Salt: 7g = ~ 1.4 teaspoons (a teaspoon is about 5 grams)
Unsalted butter: 20g = ~ 1.4 tablespoons (1 tablespoon is about 14 grams)
Cold water: 210g = ~ 0.88 cups
