I think Plastic Man’s villains ought to be made up of the sillier villains from the silver age. He hasn’t had any specific villains since before he was bought by DC. I really liked when Batman Brave and Bold had Kite man be the nemesis of Plas even having been part of his origins. Though kite man is more of a heroic figure it could be interesting to have Plastic man fight some other infamously silly villain. I think Plastic man should also have a family like in brave and bold just to have a different dynamic than most other heroes.
I kinda want him to have a few silly villains and then one that's just so bizarrely serious that it loops back around into being funny. Like you're just looking at this villain like 'Ok I think you took a wrong turn and left Gotham.' Or have one of the silly villains demonstrate how dangerous they are, like have the writers exploit Plastic Man's insane durability and elasticity to show that the attacks would kill a normal human or even some superhumans, but not specifically Plastic Man.
Plastic Man is my favorite DC character. We should have an origin story years ago. It needs to come out soon
For live action, it's gotta be Jim Carrey, no exceptions.
Plastic Man should have an animated feature, not a live-action thing. Most live-action shows/movies can't do elasticity effects well (with the exception of live-action One Piece), or the effects age really poorly *cough* Fan4stic *cough*
Plastic Man and the Creeper are both the underrated goofballs of the Justice League... Like I know they worked together once under the mind control of Eclipso but I imagine that they'd both be a wacky and chaotic force of good while getting under Batman's skin lol. And a bit of a hot take, but both make more sense as members of Batman's extended crew than Harley Quinn...

Time to state my completely unasked for opinions on some of these hot takes that stood out to me.
If Plastic Man does get an origin film in the DCU, I hope it takes place in like, the 80s. I like the idea of him being an older hero, someone who has been a hero for decades, perhaps putting him in the same era as the OG Black Canary (Dinah Drake) or the OG Blue Beetle (Dan Garrett), I mean, he is from that era of characters, he was created in 1941.
I don't think Plastic Man should be a part of the Batman mythos. I was never really a fan of the way Batman was tied into Plastic Man's origins and Batman has a large enough mythos as is. Although, I do like the idea that Batman is the one that recruits Plastic Man into the Justice League despite his weirdness.
He definitely shouldn't be among the main seven. A major Justice League member, yes, absolutely, I love him, but main seven? Nah. Also, I just want to say that Cyborg 100% would've been extremely popular still if he wasn't a founding member of JL in the New 52. He was a major Teen Titans member (one of the most popular teams in DC Comics), he was a member of the team during two of the most popular runs on the Titans (George Perez and Marv Wolfman's New Teen Titans and Geoff Johns' Teen Titans), he was a Justice League member in Superfriends, and he was one of the main Titans in the animated Teen Titans show that is still EXTREMELY popular to this day and shaped how MANY people view these characters.
As a fan of both Plastic Man and Elongated Man, I'm so disappointed in you right now. I don't know which one is better, but let's not discount my boy Ralph Dibny here. He was a member of the OG Justice League (the satellite era), he was a Flash supporting character for a time, he was a detective first and a superhero second, his wife was an administrator for the Justice League. Sure, he didn't do much after the 70s besides play a major role in Identity Crisis, but he's still a great character. A superhero detective that travels with his wife/partner to solve cases, that's just so cool and it sucks that they ruined that in Identity Crisis. I do agree that Plastic Man is more visually interesting though, still, c'mon man.

Your unpopular opinion was a sad ending. Because if he was stuck as a planet, he'd probably be bored, miss earth, and just be sad in general.
Your Planet-Man suggestion is really dumb… but I love it and now really want to see it be used as a unique set-piece in a story. Maybe something multiversal threat is destroying every inhabitable planet so Plastic-Man, being indestructible and able to stretch infinitely, decides the best plan is to become a planet for people to escape to.

We almost got a Plastic Man movie with Jim Parsons as the character. WB cancelled it. Sheldon Cooper would have been great as Plastic Man.

I could see that...he's maybe a little too much of a brain type than a crazy type like plastic man, but I could imagine him pulling it off.

I’m one of the comic book fans that don’t know much about plastic man. But due to content like this and TikTok/ shorts, I’m very intrigued by how versatile/ powerful he can be.

For your planet idea. I’d want a story where Braniac tries to destroy and collect him, and the rest of the Justice League come to his aid. Brainiac would end up succeeding, but this would be for the best, as the small chunk of the planet Brainiac collects regenerates into a second Plastic Man, effectively turning things back to normal.
In general, I’d like a “Brainiac vs Plastic Man” story, as Plastic Man would be absolutely maddening to someone so logic obsessed.
Plas was first and best of all the stretching characters. Make him the mate to mogo, of course being sure mogo is female and make them a team of sorts . Could work as a humorous fool, straight girl team up.

For some reason I can't take this character seriously. Maybe it's because of that horrible cartoon version in the early 80's. My age is ruining cartoons for me, and it make me even more upset that I didn't read more comic books while I was growing up 😔 That's it, next comic-con I"m heading in just to buy some comic books, but not the super expensive ones 🤣
