This New Jig Design Makes Sheepshead Fishing Easier

One of the guys over at Bellaire Jigs came up with a new design for their already great Sheep Sticker jigs and sent me some to try out. Putting them side-by-side I initially noticed some subtle differences like the jig head being flatter on the bottom and the grooves in the sides. Once I started fishing with them is when I noticed the real difference: the hook up ratio was vastly improved! I was catching 2 or 3 fish on consecutive drops while using fiddler crabs (which are notoriously easy for sheepshead to steal). This new jig design just makes sheepshead fishing easier!
A better hook up ratio means putting more fish in the boat and I will definitely be ordering more of this new design moving forward! Thank you all for watching, I hope you enjoyed the video.

Looks Like a slightly modified Shad head jig. Love the videos! Looks like another sheepshead slay day! For sure a honey hole! I honestly believe you could have caught those fish at that spot on a rusty hook and a fiddler crab! You are the sheep slayer!

They have been around for quite awhile this guy is super late .. been available in my local tackle shop for awhile . We call em sweeper jigs .

How do you hook the fiddlers?

I hook them in the bottom corner of the shell from the bottom through the top of the shell. Just try to be gentle so as not to crack the shell, it makes it much easier for the fish to steal.
