Hey make time i really enjoy your videos, im hoping you can do an experiment using oysters in a can from the grocery or dollar store with bait mesh bags.Really would like to see if they would eat oysters out a can. Thanks Alot
You are the sheepshead king! Nice rod and reel set up. I have switched almost exclusively to baitcast reels for verticals jigging now. A lot easier to drop line and adjust line depth one handed while kayak fishing.
Haha thank you! I've heard great things about using them for this style of jigging and might have to give it a shot sometime soon! Appreciate your report on them.
LOL!!! That was funny! "He swims!" Oh yeah, of course, he's a fish. We know you meant because of his tail, but it was the way you said it. I have the Toadfish rod that my son Lawton bought me for my birthday so I'm going to get the same setup that you have. Thanks for the awesome video!
I think I really meant to say "he swims so well" haha but glad you enjoyed it. And nice I don't think you'll be disappointed! That reel feels great and has already landed a few beasts!
Great video. Toadfish setup looks pretty strong. I noticed that Houston has the same setup on his channel. Keep ‘em coming. I always enjoy watching them.
Watching this video makes me want to target sheep. I've never caught one yet. I have kayak and rods. If ever you need company on the water, I'm in the Charleston area also.
A couple popular suggestions: breach inlet (either side), Pitt Street Bridge (avoid at low tide it gets very shallow) and Mount Pleasant Fishing Pier are all good options. Hope you have some luck!
How does the size of this reel compare to the 3000 size of other manufacturers like Shimano? Seriously considering these reels for my Toadfish travel rods. Great video!
I think the reel is very comparable size to my other brand 3000 reels. I've an even bigger fan of them now that the Toadfish reels have a power handle option too! Thanks so much for watching!
Good fishing,i ordered the same rod/reel combo you're video showed me i made a good choice.
That no tail sheep was cool!!!

Hiya. Bought one with your code, thanks, I am coming home in April and cannot wait!! Thanx again!
Hi Peggy, that's great! Hope you enjoy it and get some good fish on it!
Great video! I was out on the water that day and it was a really tough day!
Thanks Jack! Yeah that was pretty brutal but glad I stuck it out the fish were active!
Good video just got my first kayak trying it out. On Monday so excited
Nice congrats on the new kayak! Have fun and be safe out there, goodluck!
Can I use the reel for freshwater fishing?
That looked like a dang good day man! That wind looked brutal
They were definitely chewing! The wind was pretty crazy the first couple hours but it sort of died down later on.

how would this rod combo compete against a Penn battle 3 combo?
Hi just found your channel, going to Charleston in 2 weeks any recommendations where I can fish off the shore in town . Thanks

@@MakeTimeForFishing thanks for the info! I also just subscribed earlier today. Great channel!
enjoyed!epic sharnig. all the best-)
Thank you very much!
Which Toadfish Rod is featured in this video?
What size rod is this? Medium heavy?
This is the 5'11 medium "convict" rod
Do anyone bother you while you fishing by those docks?
In my experience people are cool about it.
No everybody I talk to is always very nice and usually gives me the "fishing report" on their dock.
Did the reel ever rust?
Nope, still going strong!
Can’t wait for finger mullet time
Man I hear that! They're starting to show up a bit now that the water is creeping up to the mid 60's but not in huge numbers yet
I love my toadfish reel
And if it's sealed like its supposed to be it should last a long time!
