I usually recommend people to check their timing chains after 80k miles for slack. Then every 10k miles after to check. These chains do tend to stretch over time as part of the normal wear and tear process so it’s always good to be on top of it.
@@ProdigePerformance yeah thats why im doing it now. I lived away from home last year and put a lot of miles on my car driving half way across the country a couple times. And I'm the who knows what number owner of my car, I dont know what the previous owners did at all since I bought it at auction
You're making me wish i did head work. Short block goes out the 20th. But for my power goals of mid 500s tim herber owner of gencoupestore said it would be a waste of money.
5-550 stock heads are perfectly fine for. You only really need to build the heads when you want 550+. There’s a bunch of reasoning behind it. Tim is very knowledgeable.
spectrum870 I always send people his way. Matter of fact I’ll be testing out and installing his products in my coming videos. Shifter, bushings, exhaust, anything you can think that tim sells I plan on testing it rather it be for my car or customers

Appreciate the comment! Hope the videos help you out!
Thanks for the video. Gonna do my chain soon because I'm gonna have my whole front off, and my car is hitting 100k at the same time.
