Attempted to swap in a 3D cluster from a G70 equipped with one to a G70 with a regular cluster. Swap works for the most part but some R&D will definitely be needed to take care of the turn signal camera issue it has and the bezel not being correct for the cluster. Overall hope this videos helps others / inspires others to dive into the swap! Very satisfying in the endgame

Great video! I didn't pre time my engine before removing everything. How would i start getting it back together?
Man I installed it wrong and my turbo wasn’t spooling up like it used to.. Felt like it was lagging really bad before it hit full boost. Video was a huge help. I’ll know tomorrow if it was the issue I’m pretty sure it was, my bad. BK2
You didnt add any dielectric grease? Is it not needed? Replacing mine right now and noticed it has alot of this goop on it and i dont have any dielectric grease should i be fine?
@@yodazdanky4592 you don’t need any lol
@ProdigePerformance sweet thanks for the quick reply I didn't even know about dielectric grease till I replaced mine and thought it was something bad lol
Hey I recently bought a 2010 genesis coupe 3.8 156,000 noticed it had a rough idle and took it to autozone so they could check the codes, the most likely solution was to replace the variable camshaft timing solenoid any tips? The codes that popped up were p0018, c1101, and c1513
@@SHMACK775 I’m working on editing a video tonight showing how to replace the intake ocv solenoids. I already made a video showing how to replace the exhaust solenoids
I was thinking about getting the dtoz supercharger kit for my 2015 3.8. I really don’t see anyone with this kit. Is there a safe psi to have it at with stock internals or no? I want to have at least 400 wheel. Also would I need a haltech ecu or could I just get like a custom alphaspeed tune?
@@citroni1776 you don’t see it often because people that have had it typically destroy their engines in less than a couple of weeks after installing lol. Turbo is much more safer.
Thanku so much, I was curious about this because I have 2011 Genesis 3.8, 105k, makes little rattle for 2 or 3 secs when it's cold out on first start up. Not sure when going to have to do this. Great video
@@dalescommonsense7676 cold start rattle is because the tensioner is maxed out or the cvvt cam phaser is bad. Recommend replacing both when doing this job
So good! I love this
Which model do you recommend of the 2.0t bk1 or bk2? I notice that the bk1 has more options for performance parts, while the bk2 has almost none.
@@nicky43559 bk2. Bk2 2.0 engines can handle a bit more abuse than bk1 engines
Does anyone know the rim setup
Brian, why choose the fuse connector kit over the OBD one?
Because the OBD port is not meant to supply this kind of wattage consistently
Ive heard the solution to fix the hissing is to make a crossover pipe between the downpipes. Would using an H-pipe instead of test pipes give the same result? Seems easier to get ark h-pipes then welding.
@@scortch7187 nope. You’ve been told wrong. The fix is to send it back for warranty replacement since it’s a known issue due to poor welds in the muffler they use. We discovered this after contacting Solo performance
@ProdigePerformance it's strange that they haven't fixed this yet acrossthe line. How easy was it to get them to replace the muffler section of the exhaust?
@ they send replacements all the time. It’s not their fault, it’s the company that actually makes the muffler. They just stamp the muffler with their logo
Brian, what brand is that multimeter?
@@fscottnoah7223 not a multi meter. Continuity tester
@ Realized that when I watched again. 👍🏼 Care to share the brand? Are there better ones?
@@fscottnoah7223 honestly they all work the same. Autozone brand is the one I have. Duralast I believe. Amazon has nicer ones but no need to spend crazy money on one
😢no inglis. Good the intrucction
Man why us the turbo so loud or whatever that whistle is
I opted for the OBD2 instead of hardwire
That thing got off the line QUICK and 0-60 in about 2.6s is crazy
Dang, this is the first twin setup I've seen on the 2.0. Insane. Hope you're doing well man!
whatttttt thats an INSANE 0-60
My fastest pass is 11.3 manual 6 speed 2.0t geni
Impressive! That’s awesome! 👏
After putting the cams back in the cylinder head and torquing I’m Not able to turn the cams for some reason
@@travisjohnson4983 did you install them at TDC ? If so you’re u have to install the. A certain way When you remove the cams you have to slightly come off TDC so there’s clearance for the cams to go on smoothly. Otherwise if you install the cams at TDC you’ll have a lot of resistance and can bend a valve. It’s important to know which lobes were on intake and exhaust stroke so you can install the cams at that same angle. But the remedy to get around that is to back off TDC from the crankshaft which will allow you to install the cams at any angle
I’m unable to turn the cams, can’t get any wrench to fit onto those adjuster nuts on them
@@dumu4700 your other option is to use a 14mm socket at the head of the phaser to turn the camshafts it’s just not recommended
Can you tell me if the vacuum hoses are 3/8, 5/16, 1/4, or 5/32, please???
Thanks so much for the video! Helped me out a lot.
Good ish bro 💪🏾💪🏾
Pretty good for a humble Korean car
For some reason my timing chain has more than 3 bronze marks…
This is insane dude I love this build
Gennyyyyyy
Great job but I'm coming for that record real soon sweetie

World record 2.0t and not even sub 10 lol. So glad I ditched the platform and moved onto something with actual potential.
good you did we don’t need you here
My guy 10.4 is fast asf
I still have my 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8. If I manage to get money somehow, I will get a G87 M2 someday. The second option would be an F22 M240i xDrive.
@@panicow6005 S58 is hitting those numbers with basic parts added.

This might be the greatest thing I’ve seen in youtube yet.
Might want to watch more shit on youtube if a Korean shitbox running a low 10 is the greatest thing you've ever seen on here.
Also stay healthy bro! I know you’re going through some medical stuff
Congrats, this thing should be hitting 9s soon. Heard you helped out a bit with this build
How many O2 sensors does the Genesis coupe have? Also the downstream one is it the one below?
@@DavesGenny 3.8 4 2.0t 2 And yep
I should have clarified I have a 2.0 t 2013 so basically the one at the top of the engine that you can see in the video is the first O2 and there's one behind it? Can you get to it from the top of the engine? I'm talking about just a regular replacement not changing out the housing.@@ProdigePerformance
@@DavesGenny you can if you’re tall enough lol. If not just the car up. It’s not that hard. No point if playing yourself like that.
@@ProdigePerformancefor my downstream O2 sensor, I went to unclip it and the clip portion broke off on the harness side. I have not taken it off yet, how does it unclip is there something that has to be pushed or pulled up?
@ like any other sensor bro squeeze the locking tab and pull that’s all Spray some wd40 it tends to help with stuck connectors
10:10 What are the barbed fittings sizes for each end of the oil coolers AN hoses. I'm looking to buy a replacement, and Remnant doesn't sell them separately atm...
Im assuming they're AN8
@@18thOvkkleyIGSDN can’t remember off the top off the top of my head. Has to be a -10 or -8
@ProdigePerformance they were -10 AN. Can you tell me if the vacuum hose is 3/8, 5/16, 1/4 or 5/32??? I appreciate ur help man
Those drivetrain losses are too high. Dyno tested, the 3.8 makes 348 crank HP and 300-305 HP at the wheels, which is around 13-14% loss.
@@MDFGamingVideo yeah we dyno tested it also using sae 5 and std 5 Those are the accurate % loss out of 10 test trials. Also if you watched the video you’ll know the auto tragics have a worse DT loss over the 6 speeds.
7:50 Oil Filter Housing install. Helped me so much replacing gaskets that were over torqued
Love going back and rewatching ur videos. Satisfying Man. Great information. How much boost on a 2013 3.8 Track stock block is safe?
@@18thOvkkleyIGSDN 5-6 psi 8-11 on e blend or e85 11 would be pushing it.
I’m 3 years late but does the stuffed turbo stage 2 at 11:17 fit a bk1? I’m confused because it says bk2 on the name
@@wilsonvelasquez6648 because they make a stuffed turbo for bk1 and bk2 and then install is that exact same. Only difference is one has a EWG and the other doesn’t
Is that yours ? Just picked up a stinger 3.3t
@@zeoh4371 it’s not. I just work on a lot of cars locally and make videos out of them
What did the butt dyno tell you about the gains after installing the jb4 ? I dislike piggybacks but that’s the only option for that car. @@ProdigePerformance
@ I didn’t test it. I just installed it, not my part to do that lol. I’ve installed a jb4 on a g70 and the whp gains was 33 whp with a aftermarket exhaust only. Plenty of dyno videos on YT and on the forums of JB4 lap 3 and other decent piggy backs for the platform being showcased
@@ProdigePerformance I see. My old car is a 5at genesis coupe with a darton sleeved motor & air to water intercooler making 430whp 470wtq. I think because of the Hyundai ,Kia, genesis warranty people prefer the jb4 tunes over ECU
@ that’s not why at all lol… It’s because that’s literally the only option they have.

Is it the right side of the bump on the crank that needs to be lined up with the mark? Or the center of the bump on the crank? Or does it not matter?
Straight forward explanation. Thank you.
