- Hey everyone! In this Challenge video we try to find out whether It's Possible To Beat Sonic Heroes WITHOUT Collecting Any Rings!
Next week I will be going away for a few days, before I get started on the next challenge series. Once I'm back we'll be taking on Sonic 06 for the first time! This won't be a ringless challenge, but I promise it's going to be just as intense and infuriating so stay tuned!

I can't wait for Sonic Adventure 1, or Sonic Adventure 2 maybe I can! Can you beat Sonic Adventure 2 LAST STORY without collecting any rings? I guess I could always do so in Sonic Adventure DX; or Sonic Adventure 2 battle, Shadow The Hedgehog is my favorite character, especially his battle against the Biolizard, like Super Shadow vs Super Sonic, or Super Shadow vs Eggman! Same with Tails and Knuckles, and even Sonic The Hedgehog!!! Sonic... Did you guys read those Sonic Frontiers Leaks? Insane right?! What about Sonic Origins or Sonic Prime? Maybe even the Sonic Movie and Sonic Movie 2, I might do a Sonic Movie 2 Review when it comes out, my favorite port has to be Sonic Adventure 2 battle and I hope we get a Sonic Adventure 3 someday. For sure I'll be doing a Sonic Adventure 2 review, maybe even cover some Sonic Leaks and Sonic discussion... I honestly thought Metal Sonic's metal madness transformation was pretty badass, sure took a while, but looked awesome.
I like it too tbh, could have been shorter though 🤣
Whenever I think of the length of the transformation, I always just think about the minutes and minutes of screaming whenever a character is charging anything in Dragon Ball Z
Yea this is the best Metal Sonic. At the least the IDW comic shows him some respect.
I cannot remember if Shadow the Hedgehog has a mission that makes you get rings but I can say "Yes and no" that it's possible to beat that game ringless... if you pick a certain route. The game has multiple routes thus each one being a different kind of stage and some of those, like the Cyber World zone is bad doing ringless. Another problem is Chaos Control. Careful with it since it will sometimes gather rings.
Man Sonic 06 already? That's going to be hell. I wish you luck!
There is but I think you can skip it, I'm going to have to take a closer look at shadow in my free time before I begin to route. XD

Why I refuse to touch that disc and put it in my 360.
I mean it has an amazing soundtrack, but it's too glitchy.

Same man that transformation was rivalling the 5 plus episodes on namek covering 5 minutes of the battle. 😭🤣
@@challengerjakku1943 xD oh gods, don't remind me. That battle on Namek definitely took too long. Then again, so did Luffy vs Kaido in the recent arc. Took at least 30 or so chapters to best a dragon with blunt force trauma.

Ssj3 Goku's transformation is one of the best I've ever seen and it's not even close easy in my top 5. I also love neo metals transformation.

Shadow *MIGHT* be possible. There is a mission where Tails ask you to collect rings, however I believe the only requirement to unlock last is to simply get all the endings, and that just means reaching the end of a pathway and then clearing both the hero and dark mission of every final stage. Clearing this challenge may come down to careful story route planning.
However if you plan on doing expert mode, which is dramatically different from the normal game, you'd have to get an all A rank, which would mean clearing Tails ring mission by default.
Should be possible since i think you can skip it but I'll have to look into it, expert mode will be a no go for sure though. 😂
@@challengerjakku1943 Yeah, only reason I brought up hard mode is because of just how different it is. The lore is that the characters got together and designed a training simulation for Shadow to overcome. Gameplay wise it turns every stage in to a reach the goal type stage, there's no choosing between hero or dark. But there's also no saving. It's comparable to the old school Sonic games where you had to beat the whole thing in one sitting. Heroes did the same thing with its hard mode.
I found it to be both fun and frustrating.

@@challengerjakku1943 Who knows, probably because it clashed with the "choose your adventure" style they were going for. Though I wish the unlock criteria wasn't all A rank and instead just beat Last. That took me forever, and it was only when I got older that I figured out the best way to get an A.
Like an idiot I was so focused on getting points that I wasted time destroying every little enemy and collecting every ring, and just completing whatever mission goal I happened to do first.
Instead, its better to stick to one mission going into the stage and just remain on task and do that as fast as possible. So if say your mission is defeat all gun soldiers, don't waste time fighting the aliens too, just kill the gun soldiers and continue down the level quickly.

We thought the 5 minute Namek battle took a while, and recent One Piece arcs have done the same, BUT there's a bigger king of forever.
Ladies and gentlemen, the manga series Akagi had a battle that lasted literally 20 IRL years.
Sonic Heroes's way to get to the special stages is at least better then Sonic Advance 2 🤢

I disagree. I think Metal Sonic's transformation sequence is better than SSJ3, if only because with Metal Sonic you can at least tell that something's actually happening with all of the metal pieces flying around and connecting with each other to form something. With SSJ3, Goku literally just screams for about 5 minutes while it cuts to the world shaking and the other characters reacting to the event, but Goku doesn't actually transform until, like, the last 30 seconds of the sequence, lol. Awesome video though.
My guess why Knuckles got a shield instead of turning pink, it's been so long since 3&K so they probably forgot what it looked like.
Fortunately with Mania they remembered
From what I remember, it's thanks to iizukas retcon that only hedgehogs have the ability to turn super.
@@challengerjakku1943 guess the backlash from knuckles having a yellow shield instead of his true super form really affected Sega when they worked on mania, huh?

Waiting for Shadow the Hedgehog. It may not be the best game, but I loved playing that, and I 100%'d it, including getting the hard levels after A-ranking all the normal stages. Probably saw Westopolis over 100 times...
