Sonic Adventure Except Knuckles Has A Ring Allergy| Sonic Adventure No Rings Challenge PT 3!

- We've conquered it twice, now it's time to see if Knuckles can overcome his Ring Allergy in PT.3 of our Sonic Adventure NO RING CHALLENGE & Knuckles!!!!
This no ring challenge was honestly way more fun than I expected, whilst Knuckles's gameplay style centers around exploration with his objective being collecting the missing shards of the Master Emerald... There was honestly a lot of hazards that stood in our way throughout a handful of these stages, from the Badniks to the general design and that is where the difficulty mostly stemmed from; as opposed to the linearity and theory crafting of avoiding sections you normally had to traverse through in a regular point A-B run.
Join us on Thursday, when we tackle this challenge for a 4th time when we see whether it's possible to be Amy Roses story without collecting a Single Ring! Short but certainly So So Sweet! Pretty much my off screen reaction when I saw it the first time. 🤣 Thank Knuckles it was only 1!
Headcanon: the reason knuckles is avoiding rings is because of a certain bat wanting to acquire the master emerald through marrying the echidna.
3:53 yes the girl statue or whatever you want to call it was only in the original japanese version and was replaced by a casino sign in the international version

I'm almost a little surprised you didn't say that Knuckles tried hitting on Tikal only to find out she's his sister. It just kinda felt like it would go well with your home about her being his sister
When you were talking about Knuckles' connection with the Master Emerald, I was thinking of that Sonic Short where I think Knuckles is playing cards with the Master Emerald, and he somehow loses against it. Makes no sense

The cowgirl is in fact from the Japanese version. It's one of the recovered features of the game similar to the lost DLC and Sonic's shoes stretching when at full speed. All of them can be toggled on and off, but likely as a sick joke they left the cowgirl on by default. I think you can still remove it again in the mod loader.
Ahhh that explains it, ngl I really like it glad it was left on. 🤣
@@challengerjakku1943 to be fair, same. Just fits the whole casino look. But many countries it would have immediately made the game mature rated. This was before T for Teen existed.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about the term "action button!" It's even worse in SA2B because nothing on the gamecube controller is ever referred to as an "action button." I can't tell you how many times I've looked up exploits or walkthroughs for that game that use that term and I'm just like, do you have any idea how little that narrows it down?!
It's like they expect you to know, it would be easier to just state the colour of the button itself. 🤣

So in that sense, are there any challenge runs that you may want me to tackle in the future? I plan on doing Adventure 2, Heroes, P-06, and some spin offs like Riders as well; but if you have any ideas I'm entirely open to look into them! :)
@@challengerjakku1943 I'd love to see a "Can You Defeat Sonic Adventure without defeating a single enemy!" challenge!
{{Discounting the monkeys in the cages on the adventure fields, so you can gain Knuckles's power up and get to Red Mountain as Sonic, because they don't drop animals and therefore shouldn't count, seeing as badniks have animals inside of them, and the monkeys outside in the Adventure Field don't. So technically they don't qualify as badniks}}
Also Sky Chase is exempt because they're flying aircrafts, not badniks.
I think it would be a fun challenge, but it might be near impossible due to Gamma needing to defeat enemies to gain more time to his levels.

But maybe if you found a way to get through Gamma's stages before your timer depletes too low, then perhaps it could be done? I don't know.
Unfortunately, I know a Sonic Adventure 2B run with this challenge would be impossible, seeing as there are sections in the games you HAVE no choice but to defeat badniks to advance.

It's funny that you'd mention Gamma, I'm not going to spoil anything yet as It won't be until the finale of this No Ring Series... Buuuuuuut, it might be possible to beat his story without defeating a Badnik (Minus the E-Series Robots.)
Let's just say that, destroying the badniks in his stages was a detriment to my attempts of beating it Ringless. 😅
Wait, why do you have three rings in the total counter at the end of Speed Highway? Shouldn't it only be two, the ones Sonic grabs before you get control?
By dying instead of restarting you keep all currently collected emeralds and they change positions
True but in SA1 you can do the same just by restarting too XD
It wasn't until sa2 where restarting would take you back to the start of the stage.
