- As promised, here's part 2 of this Sonic Adventure No Ring Challenge! Except if Tails collects a ring HE DIES! How will we avoid bodying our beloved 2 Tail Fox? Sit back, relax and find out in this Tails Edition of our Sonic Adventure No Rings CHALLENGE!
To be honest, I kinda suspected that Tails could literally body most of these stages through flight. Although some of these stages and even boss fights to an extent proved to be quite the challenge! Next week we'll continue this momentum with part 3 of our ultimate goal, where Knuckles will take the mantle as we try to complete his story without collecting any Rings!

I love that Tails being a helicopter is literally just casual strats that everyone did.
He's op, I'm starting to see why we never got this version of Tails again which is a shame as he's easily the best. 😂
@@challengerjakku1943 still tho, I think the mech suit was a bit too much of a nerf.
@@Myhrrylyth Oh for sure, I think they should have kept Tails's playstyle from SA1 with the flight slightly nerfed.
I do enjoy the mechstages a ton in SA2, but even I would admit that I prefer the action platforming stages better.
@@challengerjakku1943 The Mech stages weren't bad no, but with the disconnect from State to stage we could have had eggman with mech levels and had Tails have his own gameplay style built around a slightly nerfed flight system. I.e. an Island level where he flys from island to island fighting enemies and grabbing shiny things. Maybe a mixture of Sonic and knuckles where he collects things from island to island as incentive not to fly past the whole stage. It always felt lazy to me that shadow, eggman, and rouge's stages are carbon copies of the heroes. Shadow makes a little sense to be a clone but did had some creative freedom with chaos control and rouge could have been more stealth based with espionage and her stealing emeralds or something from the government.
7:57 Sonic probably let go early, whilst Taild stayed in the driver seat and flew back to the Mystic Ruins.
That... Actually makes a lot of sense honestly. 🤣
I have to say this one was my favorite ringless challenge by far. The jokes were top notch, the comedic timing was flawlessly executed and I just cannot stop being forever amused about how much you despise Sky Deck.
My favorite moments had to be
The very start with how you said Tails survived a plane crash that he had no business surviving.
the icecap zone flashback of Sonic's snow boarding section was perfectly utilized and made me chuckle.
Then the weapon of mass destruction moment where you play that music over Tails spinning. Beautiful and brilliant.
Also I cannot believe I didn't hear the subtle detail of Eggman sounding more menacing as Tails. I've played this game over and over for years once in a while and never picked up on that. Wow, that's really cool. I as well never noticed the rubber banding and didn't know the AI messed up to give you a chance to catch up.
I always just flew on by with Tails without ever losing to Sonic ever. I didn't know that the AI would screw up to give you time to catch up and win.
And I never knew you could get crushed by the Egg Walker falling on you. I never got crushed underneath it. That's good to know though for my own playthrough of Sonic Adventure though.
Thank you my friend! In all honesty I think this is the video I'm the most proud of thus far; everything just seemed to click especially with some of the Shenanigans at play! 😂
For how old it is, this game just has a ton of nuance details that just elevate it once you discover them it's crazy. Eggman used to scare me as a child, because Tails was the only story I was able to complete on my own, the cutscene where he tries to nuke the city still gives my 4 year old self nightmares lmao.
It's funny though, like in a casual playthrough I used to love Sky Deck but after this series... I NEVER want to see that hell again! 😅
I love the dialog difference. It gives a good look at how the characters view each other, and it makes the story come alive better

It's something I will always remember, coming home from my friends house to see my ds on the couch. I knew something was amiss the moment I turned it on to the sight of the snow in Snowpoint City being a yellow tint.

I'm sure you're way past thinking about this challenge by now, but you don't actually have to go through that linear segment with the ice blocks - you can just jump onto that ledge at the right, which has no rings at all.
Wait... The Ledge has collision?! I didn't know that. 🤣
@@challengerjakku1943 Sure does. A lot of folks don't seem to know that, I've noticed. Even I'm still finding new things about this game like that, to this day.
@@GogotteandSig That is incredible honestly! XD i think what might have put me off was the Ice there, but I'm guessing it doesn't have collision so you can just pass through it.
@@challengerjakku1943 Actually the ice shatters or moves when you touch it, I think? Like the ice in the center path. There's actually a lot of breakable ice that way too so clearly that path was always intended, and yet they put nothing over there, weirdly.

Why wasn't this in the recommended videos to watch after the sonic video??
Because it was made 4 days after, at the time I had it recommending my older videos as they were the only videos that were on the channel up to that point.
When the Sonic Video Blew up, I created a playlist with each episode ordered chronologically for easy access. Whilst replacing the video that was originally in the end card for the newest video uploaded on the channel which I think was the finale.

Hm. You seem like a pretty good up and coming TH-camr. I like your videos but if I can give a piece of advice, or rather something I find a bit irritating. You have a repetitive cadence when you speak which has a hypnotic effect and hard to focus on what you're saying. I'd recommend slowing down a bit when you speak and switch up the cadence to a more natural talking cadence.
