I spent one month with the Asus ROG Flow X13 that comes with the RTX 4070 and 32GB of RAM, and I continue to be impressed! I discuss some things that I really liked about this laptop and only ONE thing that I slightly disliked----check out this review to find out what that one thing is!
This review is a little shorter, but I cover many of the benchmarks, along with some things I really loved about the Asus ROG Flow X13 and something I was surprised by!

I wish he did some gaming benchmarks on it 😭😭😭😭
Hey ben. Love you reviews. Will you a follow up on this review? Maybe a 3 month long term, or longer?
Can't wait!!!!
I'm using the 2022 base model since 3 months, no dGPU and I'm already a fanboy. Hope Asus continues this series. i just want cheaper XG Mobiles, like with 4050
Oh and when you will review the 2023 Model of the Rog flow X16. Im so excited for this one :) Your videos arw great and so helpful
About the battery life results, I've seen a video yesterday going pretty in depth on this subject and measured that the laptop was drawing more power in Windows power saver more than in balanced mode. The video is 2 months old so maybe there's been a firmware update since then but it could be interesting to test
Would u still reccomend the 680M integrated graphics flow over the 2022 zephyrus g14 ryzen 7?
Can we get some detailed game benchmarks against the old and new G14?
I got one based on yours and other reviews. I think it's one of the best laptops that's also a 2-1 format. I really like mine! Previously I bought the Z13 Acronym model, but speakers were terrible, so had to return it.
WHERE AND HOW DID YOU GET THE ACRONYM????
Yeah the z13 is terrible. This is ok. @Iamhere-lk9ke
HOWS THE HEAT MANAGEMENT & DISSIPATION?
i am a new ASUS fanboy myself. ACRNM edition z13 was my introduction. its incredible.
Would u still reccomend the 680M integrated graphics flow over the 2022 zephyrus g14 ryzen 7?
What is the pen model that you use? I don't have it for my 2022 version. I need to buy it.
Nice review
It's beeen 1.5 months with this laptop (with 4050 GPU) and I'm very happy with the purchase.
💗💗💗
hello, have you faced the keyboard lag issue?
@@someguyblolb Hi. Hmm. I regularly use my X13 Flow and haven't encountered such issue.
Could you check the performance on battery
Please let me know how much watts it uses on battery
Ben! The slim 7 AMD has released! Please review it! I have to join University from October and am eyeing that laptop.
Is it out? Can you please send me the link?

How is the note taking experience on this laptop?
I'm really digging this laptop and am probably buying later this month (waiting on exam results). As a productivity user I have question regarding the pen. Is there palm rejection? This is essential for notetaking so I'm very curious.
yes, the palm rejection is apparently flawless on this laptop, though i don't know why he wasn't showing that in this video
Would you test out Star Citizen on this laptop?
What’s your opinion on Dell G16 7620 or 7630?
I will buy this any advice if there is any other 2 in 1 i really wanted to buy a surfacebook3 but it would be a terrible decision so its a no go so now i want to buy this.
Which stylus are you using? :o
how about flow x16? is it better?
Torn between the X13 and the Z13. Mainly need one for stock trading. Any suggestions or perhaps a side by side comparison??
Don’t buy Z13 if you wanted battery life to any extent. Z13’s got an intel CPU and despite its performance is probably better than AMD 7940HS on the X13, its battery life sucks.
Hello! I'm searching for a laptop for architecture and I found the Lenovo Gaming 15.6'' Legion 5 15IAH7H, FHD IPS 144Hz, Procesor Intel® Core™ i5-12500H (18M Cache, up to 4.50 GHz), 32GB DDR5, 512GB SSD, GeForce RTX 3060 6GB at 1230 USD, is it worth it?
Max DPS to GPU? Something like 60 watts?
I might get it next year when they upgrade it to Zen 5 APU. It will be an efficiency beast with great iGPU power.
Turns out from what i saw from CES that there will be no refresh for the flow line in 2024. 😢
Maybe they want to give the flow a complete redesign for the new arm chips from Snapdragon. Not sure.
@@truthgrace5464 Yeah maybe. But I feel it would be a waste. The Strix point APU next year would be a massive boost and super efficient. It could make the X13 one of the best laptops. Though with CES, the G14 looks amazing too now. Specially that sweet OLED screen. But I wouldn't be surprised if the X13 has an OLED touchscreen with the next update. Honestly, they should just merge the X13 with the G14. Make the G14 completely foldable with an OLED touchscreen. Its barely bigger than the X13 anyways. The new G14 is actually thinner than the X13 and only 1cm larger on the two sides. They could easily give us a G14 that replaces the X13.
As much as I'd want to like this laptop, them opting to only give it a 2230 SSD & not the regular 2280 makes it a dealbreaker for me. With a 2230 you're limited to 1TB, maybe 2TB if it'll accommodate a double sided SSD (which 13" laptops typically don't).
There ARE 2TB M.2x2230 SSDs on Amazon, just mentioning
Hey ben,
Which laptop whould you suggest, if this laptop is too little for somebody.
Because i think for example for 3D Modelling its nice, to have a bigger screen. Like 16 inch
There is literally a flow x16 wtf are you asking
@@samgoff5289 hahaha yeah bro. Chill. I know. But i need a review about the 2023 model of the X16. I dont know how it goes in terms of Fan noise and battery live with the intel chip. Also if they fixed the heavy screen problem
I am currently using the ROG Flow X13 RTX 4060. Through the gaps in the keyboard, I can see the red motherboard and even the capacitors on it. It's quite scary. When using this computer, please make sure to keep your hands dry and never let water get into the gaps of the keyboard.
In the city where I live, any malfunctions caused by water damage will be denied warranty coverage by the after-sales service.
My 2022 A15 had that “military grade build” plastered all over it. A not even knock on the keyboard killed the screens first and then the motherboard. ASUS previously famed for their quality have now gone for a quick buck like almost everyone else.
Can I install 2 tb gen 4 ssd 2230 in it?
Still waiting on the flow x16 2023 4070 review????
This one or Macbook Pro m1 Pro 14?
How would it perform for Gaming? And also programming? Also the price is too high in my opinion
come on, unless you are doing game programming (and must be 3d games), almost all programming tasks (including 2d game programming) don't require high end machines. As for heavy gaming, there are better and cheaper choices (though bulkier too).
the 4050 model should be about 1k less, but I havent seen any locations to purchase it yet.
It's perfect but why is it sooo expensive? 😫😫
I don't understand why don't more companies finally start producing this category of laptops: 2-in-1 touch-screen with high performance and a sober/sleek design.
Cause most companies today mostly builds specialized laptops either for gamers or for business people. But a third category also exists! And they are the "renderers" and creators!
And sadly that is the category that Apple is parked in for a while.
Hello brother I hope you are well. I love your reviews but I'm also a gamer as well as a designer and editor, it would be very useful if you included some other performance test in demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 in RT ultra. a big greeting from cuba.
I wish he did gaming benchmarks 😭😭
@@dr.hyderwaseem7562 tell me about it 😅😂
Is the ram upgradable on the acrnym version? To 64 gb?
Nope
did you face the issue with your laptop where you get keyboard lag?
Hmm, I think I need to stop watching these videos because now I really can't decide what to buy. 😂😂😂 More confused now than when I initially started researching haha
4 weeks = "long term"..... right...
Wish Samsung laptops had hibges like these. I'll probably still pick a Samsung for the pen, but man...
I've watched so many videos. Can someone please tell me in plain language whether the asus x16 (or the x13 for that matter) laptop will run my games without the mobile gpu. I don't want and cant afford the mobile gpu. but I want a 2in1 that I might as well be able to play games on. thanks
yes, the rtx 4070 and even the rtx 4050 will crush all AAA games in max settings with 1080p.
The mobile GPU or graphic cards like the 4080 an 4090 make a difference only in 4k
Beware though: playing any heavy games on any thin laptop will melt your fingers. So even though you dont need the mobile GPU to run the game, using one means that more than half the heat generated by the game is outside your laptop so your keyboard will remain cool.
Saw some yt’ers having problems with ASUS laptops. I guess any manufacturer will have their pr, but according to a yt’er he bought a laptop with mini-led hdr, but when he got it, it didn’t have that screen even though it was written on the lap and besides that it had a high pitched coil whine… another videsays that getting them repaired takes for, and the laptop will get outdated if it even gets re.
I am now afraid, because I just sent my 2022 ASUS A15 for a motherboard replacement.
Need RGB keyboard, then its a shut up take my money
