@@edwincuret2289 I hope so! Everything I've done on the channel so far I've had to purchase, but if I can find a way to bring those new laptops in without spending a fortune, I'll do my best to get those reviews put together.
I bought an exact model as yours last month. At first I was looking for an Intel Core Ultra 7H laptop but when I came across this one, it was an immediate buy. And still, here I am looking at unboxing and reviews to convince me that what I bought is as good as, if not better, than Core Ultra 7H laptops out there at the same price.
Haha I feel you man, I do the same thing - I have good news for you though! You made a great purchase that should keep you happy for several years to come :) I know I'm happy with mine!
Nice review! I bought it a few days ago from eBay, open box, shipping to LATAM (I'm from Chile ✌). Still waiting for its arrival. I'm, super nervous but these kinds of videos and reviews reaffirm my decision. Thanks Sam!
Hey! Glad you enjoyed the video! You've got nothing to be nervous about, it's a great machine and super capable! Just be aware of its limitations, but you'll love using this laptop.
If this version had upgradeable RAM or atleast 24gb...I'd own one. 16 is just a bit too close for me. I do however think this FLOW series is about the perfect laptop.
Hey there! Yup that totally makes sense. When I'm playing a game on this laptop, I do make sure to have every other program besides Discord closed to preserve RAM. While I think this laptop can still handle most games with only 16GB, it is a bit of a chore to make sure that you aren't running too many programs in the background as well. A reasonable concern on your end I'd say.
Kicking myself for not getting this when it was on sale lol Instead I got a crappy HP Pavilion Plus 14. It has that same 780m, but it performs nowhere near as well as this does.
Ah man, I'm sorry to hear that! Well I have a hunch it will be back on sale again sometime this summer to make room for the next batch of 2024 laptops. Wish you luck on picking one up!
Hey there! Yeah 60fps on medium setting might be a stretch in certain parts of the game. Especially in busy areas, you may drop below that. It might make sense for you to look at something with a true dedicated GPU just to make sure you aren't disappointed.
Thanks that was a great review! And btw I just ordered the RTX4050 version with amd ryzen 9 7940hs, do you think its gonna be capable for gaming like RDR2 or GTA, or maybe Cs:go and Valorant? Couldn't find the 4060 tho😭😭
Thank you for watching! And yes it totally should be, especially with a 4050. Just keep settings on medium and you should be fine. Also, be sure to check and enable Nvidia's performance boosting settings like DLSS and others in the game settings to help hit the highest FPS. Enjoy!
Hey there, yeah it totally should. Black Ops is one of those games that is made to run on as many different computers as possible. That means that it has presets that will drop everything but the essential graphics features to allow even a potato to run the game at 60fps. My version with the 780m plays the game in it's most reduced graphics setting mode at around 90fps, so I'm sure you could get 120fps easy with frame gen, plus a 4070, at much higher settings.
Great review!! exactly the model im planning to buy, how is it holding up now? Was the performance still sufficient and battery long lasting or do you feel any inconvenient adjusting to a 13in screen? especially while gaming.
Still running great! Performance has been solid, recently have been playing the new Elden Ring DLC and at 1080p low settings, getting a pretty solid 40-50fps with all performance modes turned to max. More than playable and the game still looks great to my eyes! Battery is amazing, especially when not gaming but just using it like a normal laptop. 6-8 hours normal usage, 1.5-2 hours when heavy gaming, so I usually keep it plugged in for max performance. The 13 inch screen has been great to me, knowing that I wanted a small device. I wasn't wanting the ultimate viewing experience, but rather something that is bigger than a steam deck or rog ally but still small enough to travel with and use on a plane or in a hotel. The overall packaging (size, weight) for me is ideal for a device like this that I want to use on the go or in the living room or outside. So still a 10/10 from me! Just know what you're getting, be reasonable in your expectations and what this laptop does best, and you'll be a happy camper. Best of luck finding a good deal!
I have an ASU ROG Strix G15 with a 3050 but it is very heavy and the screen is a bit disappointing in terms of colours even though it has 144hz, and the battery doesn't last long. I need it to edit in photoshop and some normal things in premier. Would it be wise to change to this one? Or is it a bad decision? Thank you very much for your video, it is great for informing.
Hey there! To be honest with you, I might look elsewhere for more of a productivity machine. While this laptop is awesome at 1080p gaming, I do worry that the lack of a dedicated GPU combined with a lower-core CPU might make your work in photoshop and premier feel slow. If I were you'd, I'd probably save up a bit more money and jump up a tier into a new machine with at least a 4060, at least an 8 core/16 thread CPU, and a 2K+ screen with a glossy panel (for those amazing colors). If gaming isn't a top priority, you may be better off with a more creative-focused machine, of which Asus has several solid offerings. Good luck on your search!
Hey there! The stylus was not included in the box - I believe the stylus was only included in the boxes of review samples that went out when this version of the laptop launched. The retail version does not include the stylus or other accessories like the bag/case that some other reviewers have shown.
Hard to say for sure, but my guess is it will come out sometime this fall/early winter once all the new hardware from intel, AMD, and nvidia is out on the market. Typically new devices launch alongside the new hardware releases.
Dope video 🔥
Thank you! I appreciate it!
@SamWhyze you're welcome, Asus dropping some new laptops soon are you going to be reviewing those?

I got the 4070 a few months back

i really want to buy it but i'm worried that the 780m playing genshin impact won't reach 60fps on medium settings
Hey there! I'm thinking the same. Did you get another, which one? I need help to decide (genshin is my first concern lol)

4050 is trash
do you think bo6 will run good with the 4070?

Half off holy shit nice 😭😭
I know right?! I've seen that deal pop up again a couple times since I purchased this on Best Buy too... Seems to happen every other month or so.
Thank youuuu
Thank you! Let me know if there's any other devices you'd like to see reviewed!
Does GTA 5 work with this?
Planning to buy 1
Yes
Yes! Runs great at 1080p medium and pretty well at 1080p high settings.
