I did a full review of the Asus ROG Flow X13 and was not disappointed! So many companies right now are trying to create the perfect thin & light Ultra Book while also trying to include good performance, but they often miss the mark---that is definitely NOT the case with the X13! This laptop excels in battery life, performance, build quality, assembly, and usability---it has all of that going for it AND MORE!
Check out this full review to learn more about the Asus ROG Flow X13 + see many of the benchmark results that I ran. I think you will be surprised by how impressive this laptop is!

something i absolutely love about the Asus laptops, is that both the X13 and G14 don't have this loud and honestly cringy gamer aesthetic that i hate
"military grade red cyber ultra ++" 😅
G15 too
M16 too
I got the X13 w/ RTX 4060 here the other day and it completely blows me away! This is the best laptop on the market, hands down!
How much does it cost to you my brother? I'm looking for one too
My X13 4070 arrived this afternoon thanks to this review. The first thing you notice is how great the keyboard and trackpad feel; not just great for a small thin and light, but like you might actually prefer this to larger laptops. The next thing you realize is that your concerns about the X13 not being a 14-inch convertible were completely unfounded. This is the absolute sweet spot for a 2-in-1. Tablet mode is finally legit!
Is it a smooth pen experience when note taking?
Any thoughts on the temperatures of this laptop? Does it handle the heavy loads well? Or does it tend to overheat?
Can you compare the 4070 performance to the xg mobile 3080 performance? Im really curious as to which one is faster
Excellent video, as always! 🙂
How does this compare to the Razer Blade 14 (2023)? I recognize that the screen size differs between the two, but thought would ask.
How’s the scrubbing and performance with 4k video editing on the battery?
Can you compare the size of the X13 Flow like you did with the Legion Pro 7i with the G14, and the usual premium ultrabook suspects like the Lenovo Z13 and XPS Plus 13?
As long as updating doesn't brick it
How does it compare to the rog x16 2023?
do you miss out the thermal stuff and lack of pwoer to drive a 4070 on purpose?
Hey BGK, your stats graphics for the dedicated GPU model has a minor error; did not reflect the GPU.
This seems like the best compact gaming laptop, so far.
But I would immediately set a limiter on its fps/tdp/turbo, to be free from fan noise and high heat.
I wish the manufacturers did that more, or at least give the option (instead of always chasing the best performance)
But I'm ok with limiting it and having performance that matches a computer from 2-3 years ago, while keeping it cool and silent
But it IS expensive though..
I have the 4070 version of this laptop with the XG Mobile RTX 4090 attached. The 4090 is only pulling 120 watts and not 150 watts as advertised. The clock speeds are all over the place as well. It mostly runs at 1500 Mhz while gaming 👎
Maybe 150 watts is for the x16? Kinda weird from ASUS if it’s 150 for the x13…
@dbean5174 It runs at 150 watts on the Ally. At least it did at launch. A fellow TH-camr confirms he's having the same issues that I am and only getting 115 watts max after a BIOS update on his Ally now.
@@GitDatPC Can the bios be reversed? so weird
Still can't get over your reviews, very thorough and detailed. I'm stuck between choosing this laptop or the Pro Art Studio book 16 OLED. I wanted to get your opinion on it. I'm trying to get a laptop for a live gigs where I will need to be using A LOT of effects on my DAW. I also do some light video editing here and there. But I just love the way the flow bends all the way back and the mini LED instead of the OLED. Is it that much more worth it to get the HX processor over the H?
Is the xg mobile port 4.0x8 or 3.0 x8?
I would love a review of the Asus Zephyrus g14 with the Rtx 4070 !
Does anyone know why the x16 2023 4070 has the intel processor instead of AMD? Is it because the AMD will help battery in the smaller sized x13 than the more “powerful” x16?
Maybe because intel is cheaper and supply. Its a bummer I was hoping they stick with AMD
I was hoping x16 would come with AMD Zen4 cpu, I would have bought it already.
@@tsung-hanlin6150Intel isn't cheaper, atleast to the end customer it isn't. They probably have it for thunderbolt support.
Also note companies have ties to Intel to use their chips. The M16 was the Intel version of the G15, until they just merged those two lines because it made no sense to carry two different skus. For the same target.
Unupgradeable 16 GB of system RAM is just silly
Nice video, but I am just doing 2D and office work. Should I get the 4070 or just the integrated GPU?
the 4070 would be very overkill for you
I was really hoping for gaming Benchmarks for both systems
Been waiting for this one :))
impressive to get a 7940hs and rtx 3070 jammed in there at a low weight and solid build.
Can you break down the armory crate for us?
Nice video, I wonder if you, have any chance, to do a x16 2023 review?
Yes, I want to review the latest X16. Hopefully sometime in the near future.
@@BenGKaiser nice to hear it from you! Also, I know you are focusing on the creativity of the laptop, but it would be really helpful to also have a 3d benchmark (Ex. 3Dmark) since the laptop has a dedicated graphics card
the iGPU only variant just came out today, and i do think it is the perfect laptop. 1920x1200 is perfect, more isnt needed
Overheating problem sucks on x13
Better to get x16 it has better cooling (3 fans) and more heat pipes
plus actually Mini-LED on the X16 vs years old IPS on this one
Yeah
Did u really compare a 13" to a 16", lol ppl who wants a 13" laptop for the portability isn't gonna consider a 16" heavyweight.
I can’t find this anywhere
do you think a 14" nebula hdr display is worth it over a 16" nebula display?
Literally just depends on the display size you want my guy
@DManLewis1 id prefer a 16" but i think you misunderstood my question. im asking the people who have used mini led if they think its worth losing 2 inches of screen real estate over
@FWS_Sinister portability isnt a problem for me, id mainly be gaming and using apps like photoshop and premier pro
A mini led display is light and day difference compare to regular LCD screen. I own oled, mini led, and LCD, definitely worth it to get mini led if you have the budget
Is it a bajillion dollars?
ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (2023) GX650
GX650PY-XS97
* NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4090 Laptop GPU 16GB GDDR6
* 64 GB RAM
* 4 TB hard Disk
How about this any idea.. for rendering n after effect works..
I mean with those specs. It’ll run most things 😂. Straight maxed with a 4090, 16GB VRAM, and 64GB RAM
Save you time. If it has armory crate. Skip it, don't buy it and look else where.
Filmora use to work and the company had to really back track after trying to ignore the lifetime buyers. Now they just take forever for support unless you buy.
Hope this helps
It looks like the 2023 model has around 15-25% worse battery life vs the older 2022 model in the same tests when comparing your reviews of the 2022 and 2023. The 2023 has a bigger battery and newer-gen processor, so can you comment on why it has a shorter battery life? Also, how did you get your hands on an igpu-only version in America? It has been out unavailable ever since it was first listed on Best Buy, the only retailer that carries the igpu-only version. Not available on Asus e-store.
Where you get that data?
@@jondonnelly4831 The battery life graphs are at 4:00 in this video and 4:37 in the previous Flow X13 2022 review video titled "3 Months with Asus ROG Flow X13". TH-cam doesn't allow me to post links in a comment so you'll have to search for the video of the 2022 model.
I really wish you would do Pen reviews for note takers… I don’t punch my laptop..
that was definitely one of my options before i discovered the z13 ACRNM edition. that laptop is an almost flawless option however there are cheaper, larger and suitable laptop for the masses. it's great for the content creators and gamers however though there's millions of us and the numbers grow every day we are still a considerably small drop in the bucket when it comes to mass consumers.
I got that one too! I love how I can just carry that to class by itself. The highest spec'd X13 cost the same as the Acronym Z13 and am glad I got the Z13 instead. 😊
@@celinek2690 I really wanted to do the Acronym but it is just way too gaudy. I love that they took a risk on the design and there are elements of it that I like, but for the most part it just feels like an over designed mess to me. Much prefer the more understated design of the x13.
That said I am also SUPER glad they make both. Some people like chocolate, some like vanilla. Both should exist.
@@TheOldSchoolCrisis I do agree that the option exists and I have thought about getting it as well.
Just wish they would design it so you can store the pen.
as a normal user who might do some video editing, for long run it's better if i get (2022 model RTX3050Ti with 32GB Ram) or (2023 model RTX4050 with 16gb ram)? Both same price in my country 🤔
However i heard 2022 version has a serious ghosting problem on screen
Which country are you in?
@@dhilsiva malaysia
@@freedomkira520 oh you're lucky then. Here, the 4050 with 16 GB RAM is more expensive than the 3050 Ti with 32 GB RAM. But I got the 680M variant with 16 GB RAM exactly 2 weeks ago during a weekend sale here.
XG mobile is not desktop GPU, its still Mobile GPU but something like 3080 or 4090 or so
i purchased it on your recommendation, now i am getting just 5 hrs of battery (no gaming)
Check your GPU setup, I can survive 10 hours in battery mode, for standard daily use
I feel like your colleague may be one of those peculiar individuals that uses a minimum of 500 layers for their projects. I've never experienced slowdowns due to layers in Photoshop, or even in non-Adobe software. But then again, I've never went over 20 in Photoshop. Maybe it's just not well optimized. I always hear about Ps being laggy on less powerful rigs, but it always sounds strange to me. Thanks for showing the pen off btw
XG Mobile is not comparable to a Desktop variant, they are mobile GPUs.
They should make all models with 32 GB ram and without Dedicated GPU - integrated is fine. Also lowering the XG Mobile price along with that would be perfect.
need RGB keyboard
its always out of stock
Plz review x16
Yes, I want to review the latest X16. Hopefully sometime in the near future.
Ahhh. Yeaaahhh. Im so excited for this one
@@Pixelmar3D i buy that
I love it
@@applepulse ohhhh really ? The 2023 Model.
Did you bought it with the rtx 4060 or the 4070.
Oh and how is it then with the intel chip.
Stuff lile fan noise and battery live 👀😅
can't they just put an RGB keyboard into this pricy laptop?
Stopped watching after "ram is soalded"
