These are my estimates for this video recipe: 1 cup of spinach - 40 1 cup of grapefruit - 100 1 cup of pineapple - 80 1/4 avocado - 55 1 stalk celery - 0 mint green tea total estimated calories: 275 Thank you for the recipe!
Made this smoothie today and it tastes great! Super happy although went a little overboard with the cayenne pepper woops! Mine made about 700ml is this normal? Or should i turn it into 2 drinks?
Glad you liked it! Most of our recipes make about 2 cups or 475ml per serving. If you ended up with more, you could def turn it into a drink and a half or two smaller drinks!

You can def add chia seeds! Many of us like to drink a smoothie for breakfast. Some folks drink a smoothie for breakfast + lunch or breakfast + dinner. I wouldn't recommend drinking a smoothie for all three meals though, unless you have some good snacks on hand for when the hangries hit. 😄
I think grapefruit would be good in there but if you don't like it, try adding some ginger. It masks everything. When I add seaweed to my smoothie, I do that and it works.

Lungelo, you'll get many of the same benefits but not the exact same. Avocados are some of the best things for healthy fats and bananas have a lot of natural sugars so for the purposes of this smoothie, you might want to give avocados a try. I really think the grapefruit, mint, and pineapple will be the flavors that stand out and you might not taste the avocado at all. Try it at least once, who knows... you might love it!
Everyone's body is different and what may help one person may not work for someone else. We do love all the healthy, whole, and nurturing foods in this recipe and think they make a great tasting smoothie for burning fat and providing great energy!

Love your question - the avocado would likely brown pretty fast, but as long as it's refrigerated, it should be fine. Maybe try a few days before going for a full week - you also want to leave out your liquid base until your ready to blend. We usually recommend meal prepping smoothies and storing in the freezer. Hi Karan! Yes, you could for sure add nuts or seeds if you like. Flax seeds or almonds are good, I might also suggest chia seeds, cashews, or hemp hearts. Just remember that adding additional ingredients may change the taste of the smoothie!
I was so excited to try this but it wasn't that pleasant to drink...had celery or some green tasting thing on back of my throat, overpowering. Think I might need to add something sweet like pineapple or apple juice...I dunno. Do you have any suggestions?
Make sure you're not steeping your green tea in water that's too hot, that will make it bitter tasting and that could have been the problem. Other than that, keep in mind that it *is* a metabolism-boosting smoothie so it will taste more "green" than some of our other recipes.

just made it right now. it's not that bad. only difference I did was half a grapefruit and half an orange. this smoothie is A LOT. am I expected to drink the whole thing or half one morning the other the next morning?
What a great way to make this smoothie work for you! Yes, you can totally save the other half for the next day. Just make sure to keep it in a air tight container, give it a little shake, and you're good to go!

I love the tip about eating nuts a half hour later. I'm not a fan of protein powder, I found one I could tolerate - but I don't love it. This is a great way for me to get that protein but be able to enjoy the different smoothies you suggest and their unique flavors!!! Thank you!!!

You can drink as many as you like, we recommend 1-2 a day. And they are definitely great as meal replacements, just make sure to add a healthy fat + a plant-based protein. I know many people who drink one for breakfast and one for lunch and then have a meal for dinner. There are also folks who will have one for breakfast and one for dinner and eat a meal at lunch, like you do. Some people like to have them as an afternoon snack or an after-dinner treat. There's really no wrong way, just do what's going to work best for you! 🙂

Great question, Erika! I would definitely recommend making this smoothie a morning or early afternoon treat, as there is caffeine in green tea, so there's a good chance you will feel more energetic after drinking this one.
Hey there, there is usually separation once you blend it and leave it in the fridge. You can make small baggies with your ingredients ahead of time, so that blending is quick and simple. Or you can check out our Meal Prepping Smoothies videos for some other tips. :) More power to you!

Thank you so much did this with just a treadmill for 8 days and 5 pounds lost! I normally eat these foods separately so it was kind of funny for me to put them all together but I got that boost of energy! :) One question I have is one day I did not have green tea and I was feeling under the weather, I had fresh passion tea I made myself with some lemon and put it in the smoothie. I know the huge benefits of green tea so I totally agree with you guys but if we don't have it what kind of other tea might work? I used a ginger type another time too.
Hey Christina! I'm glad this is working for you! Honestly, I think any herbal tea you like would do as a sub for green tea. You could also just use water or (if you like the flavor) coconut water. Sometimes I'll use water and then put some matcha green tea powder in. If you drink a lot of green tea and you weren't feeling great on the day you didn't drink some, you may have been going through a small caffeine withdrawal since green tea does contain caffeine.
@acedia I only did 30 minutes to start and now I do 1 hour w some interval jogging..... That's the best to workout break a sweat and then walk again.....
@@Obbss not at-all if you are overweight like me! lol Maybe if you are pretty on the healthy size I do not know but for me I have lost a lot of weight each time I tried any kind of workout regime that is different.

Love your question - the avocado would likely brown pretty fast, but as long as it's refrigerated, it should be fine. Maybe try a few days before going for a full week - you also want to leave out your liquid base until your ready to blend.

Hi Karan! Yes, you could for sure add nuts or seeds if you like. Flax seeds or almonds are good, I might also suggest chia seeds, cashews, or hemp hearts. Just remember that adding additional ingredients may change the taste of the smoothie!

I was so excited to try this but it wasn't that pleasant to drink...had celery or some green tasting thing on back of my throat, overpowering. Think I might need to add something sweet like pineapple or apple juice...I dunno. Do you have any suggestions?
Added in apple, orange and mango juice and tasted so good...nice and refreshing.
Make sure you're not steeping your green tea in water that's too hot, that will make it bitter tasting and that could have been the problem. Other than that, keep in mind that it *is* a metabolism-boosting smoothie so it will taste more "green" than some of our other recipes.

I have under active thyroid disease and i did this with some extra in with it and in 4 days ive can fasten my button on my shorts now and I have it as a meal . And i also have my normal meals as well in the day time. So it does works thank you for this video its been very helpful. 👍🍍🍓🍒🥑🍋😋

just made it right now. it's not that bad. only difference I did was half a grapefruit and half an orange. this smoothie is A LOT. am I expected to drink the whole thing or half one morning the other the next morning?
What a great way to make this smoothie work for you! Yes, you can totally save the other half for the next day. Just make sure to keep it in a air tight container, give it a little shake, and you're good to go!

I love the tip about eating nuts a half hour later. I'm not a fan of protein powder, I found one I could tolerate - but I don't love it. This is a great way for me to get that protein but be able to enjoy the different smoothies you suggest and their unique flavors!!! Thank you!!!

I have one in the morning and one with dinner. They so good !!!
You can drink as many as you like, we recommend 1-2 a day. And they are definitely great as meal replacements, just make sure to add a healthy fat + a plant-based protein. I know many people who drink one for breakfast and one for lunch and then have a meal for dinner. There are also folks who will have one for breakfast and one for dinner and eat a meal at lunch, like you do. Some people like to have them as an afternoon snack or an after-dinner treat. There's really no wrong way, just do what's going to work best for you! 🙂

Great question, Erika! I would definitely recommend making this smoothie a morning or early afternoon treat, as there is caffeine in green tea, so there's a good chance you will feel more energetic after drinking this one.

Hey there, there is usually separation once you blend it and leave it in the fridge. You can make small baggies with your ingredients ahead of time, so that blending is quick and simple. Or you can check out our Meal Prepping Smoothies videos for some other tips. :) More power to you!

Mona, most folks enjoy one smoothie a day and we advise no more than two. You can drink them as meal replacements or as snacks. We do not recommend drinking smoothies for every meal.

It could work either way! If you want it to be filling enough for a meal, add some chia seeds or other form of plant-based protein. 😊
Thank you so much did this with just a treadmill for 8 days and 5 pounds lost! I normally eat these foods separately so it was kind of funny for me to put them all together but I got that boost of energy! :) One question I have is one day I did not have green tea and I was feeling under the weather, I had fresh passion tea I made myself with some lemon and put it in the smoothie. I know the huge benefits of green tea so I totally agree with you guys but if we don't have it what kind of other tea might work? I used a ginger type another time too.
Hey Christina! I'm glad this is working for you! Honestly, I think any herbal tea you like would do as a sub for green tea. You could also just use water or (if you like the flavor) coconut water. Sometimes I'll use water and then put some matcha green tea powder in. If you drink a lot of green tea and you weren't feeling great on the day you didn't drink some, you may have been going through a small caffeine withdrawal since green tea does contain caffeine.
@acedia I only did 30 minutes to start and now I do 1 hour w some interval jogging..... That's the best to workout break a sweat and then walk again.....

@@Obbss not at-all if you are overweight like me! lol Maybe if you are pretty on the healthy size I do not know but for me I have lost a lot of weight each time I tried any kind of workout regime that is different.
