Great idea. When we I buy fresh fruit I freeze most of it for smoothies and you can also freeze your own avocados as well. A lot cheaper and especially the ones that might be getting a little too ripe. Cut up those fresh avocados and bananas baby and freeze them! I love your idea of packaging them already to go in the individual bags like that
Back in the 80's I used to make smoothies and juice quite often but stopped, I'm glad I came across your video, you've given me so much incentive to go back. Wow! frozen avocado, now that's a game changer for me, I'm going to try to freeze my own because they tend to spoil so quickly. I can't wait to prepare these freezer fruit/veggie packages. Thanks, you are Fantabulous!
Hello Marsha!! Every morning I make a green smoothie for my Hubby but it takes up some of my morning time, until I just FINALLY realized "DUH", I could've been making freezer prep packs lol!! Thank you for sharing and have a blessed day Marsha!!😊🙏🙏
You know I had saved that video of the smoothie freezer bags you did with your son several years ago, wanting to get healthy but I wasn’t serious about my lifestyle change but now years later I’m letting go of bad habits and picking up new healthy ones, thank you for all that you do!!! I should have subscribed years ago 🙏🏽
You can also freeze your own fresh fruits, especially when something is on special. Just prep the produce into chunks and place them on a tray and into the freezer. Once frozen, they can be stored in a freezer bag until needed and they won’t stick together in a big clump.
@@maplejubilee I had a big parcel arrive yesterday, with several bags of dried fruits and two of cashews. I tasted one of the dried black mulberries and it took a long time for the flavour to come through, so I ground them in my blender first, along with some cashews, then added rolled oats and some water. It turned into a delicious smoothie and I didn’t even need to add any sweetener. The other dried fruits I bought are mango spears, paw paw cubes, sliced apples, and of course the mulberries. I found a good source for all these things, I can buy 500g of each for about half the price the supermarkets charge.
This is a great idea! Another thing that has helped me, I purchased a wireless portable blender that I keep at work. It's rechargeable, so I just let it charge overnight when needed. I can use it around 15 or so times before it needs to be recharged. That way, I can grab my smoothie freezer bag, throw it in my lunch bag, and pretty much speed to work, like every morning! I have got to do better! LOL! If I am using something besides water in the smoothie, I take it in a small 8 oz mason jar, which I also prep the night before. So glad to see your smiling face again! Hope you and your family are well. :)
Hey Ashley! Oh wow...that is very efficient!😊 Sounds like you have your routine down pretty good. Thanks for the extra tips. So good to hear from you again too❤️
Marsha, Thank you! You have given me some great info and ideas. I've recently started making daily smoothies and would use frozen fruits and lots of fresh spinach and veggies. I love your idea of freezing avocados and pre-mixing ready-to-go bags. That is brilliant!!! Again, thank you...and keep those great ideas coming!
Well hello! I am new to your channel and I just got me my own personal blender. It's one of the smaller ones so this was perfect. I'm trying to get into a healthier eating habit, so thank you so much for your recipes. I'm looking forward to more for the single style blender
Hope you enjoy the video! Let me know if you plan to start making some smoothie bags!!! **Update: Adding the ground flaxseeds to the freezer bag isn't the greatest idea, in my opinion lol. It's a little difficult to pour out of the bag. I would keep it separate as well and just add it once you make your smoothie.
SO GLAD I CAME ACROSS YOUR VIDEO!! My daughter asks for smoothies sometimes but time seems to never be on my side. I can make these bags on the weekend to give her after school when she doesn't want to eat dinner. Thanks!!
Well thank you. This is a brilliant idea. I haven't even listened to your full video yet. I never thought of it. Makes so much sense. Thank you Miss Marsha
WOW this is a game changer for those hot summer days when I need to cool down. So fast, healthy and delicious! The advance preparation is easy and when I want the smoothie, I have minimal cleanup. Plus I love your ingredient choices. ❤ Thank you!
Your prep videos have changed my life and I will be subscribing. It is so easy to just pull that bag out of the freezer and go. I think this helps me to stay on track with healthy eating. I would love tips on using the mason jars in the freezer if you haven't already created that video. Thank you so much for sharing your tips and Happy New Year!
Yay!! I'm so glad to hear that. Meal prepping and smoothie prep is really the best thing ever. SO convenient! And I'll make sure to share smoothie prep in mason jars video soon!😉 Happy New Year to you too!!!❤️
Hey girl! Just made my first batch for all of these in this video! Also , I tried the pint size freezer bags for the amounts you used…& it fit perfectly! Thank you so much for sharing !❤❤❤
So glad to have found your channel! I’ve been searching for smoothie prep and you’ve got it going on! Thanks! Question… what about protein powder? Add to bag?
I subscribed right away! Ur so adorable and soothing to listen to. Your channel is so easy, organized and motivating to make meal prep and others fun, thank you ❤
I found your video to be very informative. thank you. So that you and your listeners will know the mason jars that are made for freezing has a large opening that get smaller towards the bottom, this aiding in the Frozen contents sliding right out.
Hello Marsha!! I love your video about the small smoothie freezer bags, so clear, fun & great!! Keep it up!! I have a question: I really like the idea of taking the time to prepare the freezer bags in one shot and freeze them. I was wondering if it is possible to prepare a basic mix of smoothies, with a bit of liquid, mix them in my Vitamix until smooth, place them in ice cube containers & when frozen to put them in ziploc freezer bags. When I am ready to have a smoothie, I choose 2 or 3 ice cubes (in a Masson jar with cover), add a bit more liquid (oat milk is my favorite) and mix until all smooth & drink. This is to avoid using the blender for every bag. Thank you for letting me know...much appreciated. I really like your videos & your bubbly personality!!
Thanks! I’ve been trying to look for easier low calorie smoothies! I tried making 1 the other day! But I feel like I made it way to heavy! I think the thing to do is what you did is to cut the bananas into chunks and use them in pieces like that! I look forward to trying some of these recipes!
I love your videos! I'm just starting with smoothies and you have been such a great source of knowledge! You're also cute I love your personality! Thank you! Okay Marsha, it's 2023 now. Are you still making videos?
So I took out all of my freezer fruit out and just made a whole bunch of these thank you .. At first I was sampling all of them but I got so full needles to say something else... Anyways thank you

Awesome Tip Thank You
Good suggestion adding the veggies and liquids first, then the frozen fruit! Helped a ton!
