Hi, at 3:45, Other than a wire brush for the surfaces that the disk sits on, anything else is needed? brake cleaner or other product to get rid of the dirt and grime maybe? Thx for the video, it is very useful 👍
Hey 👋 yes if you have some brake cleaner to hand, it’s always good to give it a spray down just so you know it’s extra clean but a good wire brushing normally sort it out. Thanks for watching.
@MrAutoFixer perfect! Thx for answering comments, even in older videos. Your channel is a great resource, I got a van as a project vehicle and the online resources are awesome. Keep it up! Cheers
I always put a little grease on the contact patch (where the piston touches the back of the pad), I also always clean and re-lube the sliding pins that way I get to check the rubber seals too, good video thanks.
Hey 👋 that’s down to personal preference really, if it’s nice and clean and not rusty then you don’t have too most of the time I do put a bit just on the mating surfaces 👍
Hey 👋 you only need to bleed the brakes if you undo a bleed nipple or a pipe and let fluid out of the system, otherwise no you don’t need to bleed the system 👍

Hey 👋 thanks for watching 👍
Thanks for sharing! Great video! Very informative. Do you need to apply some copper grease to the back of the disc before mounting it?

Hey 👋 thanks for watching I really appreciate it 👍
How much work this cost to have done ive also got 2022 trafic
What miles did the van do for you to replace the pads and discs so soon?
Hey I think the van was on 50k plus miles I can’t remember exactly 👍
Is the 2016 the same procedure? Thanks
Hey 👋 yes mate should be the same 👍
@MrAutoFixer thanks 🙂
@jamesm2099 no problem 👍 hope it goes well for ya let me know how you get on
@@MrAutoFixer was an easy job. I'd read that you have to screw the piston back in, but I'm guessing that's the back only.
@jamesm2099 Yh it’s nice and simple, your correct it’s only the rear ones that ever need screwing back 👍
Do you need to bleed the brakes?
