M9R engine. I am mobile mechanic. I have had to do a headgasket on one of these. Took mepress on my own, took over 30hrs. I had the same thing, no real symptoms but over pressurising. No garage would touch it so I felt for the customer. I took it on. At least there are 2 of you & you have a ramp. Vehicle done, happy customer.
Hi there, I have one of these vans myself, and I was told by a mechanic today that mine has a blown head gasket as well. If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you charge for a job like that? Would I be better off selling it, or should I try to get it fixed? Mine is a 2018 Renault Trafic Business+ 1.6 diesel. Thanks in advance!
Ha ha Rob! That “protective film” made me laugh out loud! ( I bought a nice mirrored bathroom cabinet a few years ago, - metal with a sliding mirrored front and blue chrome edging that matched my bathrooms colour scheme. Had it at least five years before I spotted that it was actually just blue clingfilm! 😂🤣
Used to drive a new 1986 Traffic diesel Traffic at work - Great to drive and very civilized vehicle for the time! Reliable too!👍 Absolute top speed of 74 mph!
Love how it’s been sold three times as a none runner, first the bloke you got it off then to you then to the bloke you sold it too. That will make a fantastic van
Hello Rob and Chris, great video and what a fast turnaround. Chris would be busy out here in New Delhi every car needs body work repairs. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged
Easy money. If only they were all that simple. Also speaking to the right person at the right time, bit of luck also helps things along. You guys go and enjoy your weekend.😊
That is what keeps the wolf from the door. Buy them in, and move them on at a profit. It might take some work along the way, but get the work return ratio right, and you are sailing. It worked out fine this time, and you have another drop of cash in the can, have a great Easter weekend.
Nice one! these quick turn around deals are the sort of thing that helps to keep the motor trade alive. Good on you for not milking the buyer for a maximum profit. Like everyone else who watches your chanel I appreciate your leaving enough in it for the next guy style of doing business - That's why I keep watching your chanel.
A grand for taking some stickers off and a wash has to be a result and you get time to eat your Easter eggs. 😊 Saves the hassle of taking the head off. Bonus 👍 Nice one fellas
That sold so quickly it even looks like you surprised yourselves! Yes, it would have made a good couple of videos, but the best bit is you turned it round quick and made some decent money for very little time spent 😎💷
14:35 "I've never seen a radiator do that" - I have, my Dad's Zodiac! That was in the days of copper radiators though, we just took it to a place that repaired them. Came back looking like new and lasted the rest of the car's life. I also had a stone through the radiator of my Datsun Sunny and the first clue was the temperature gauge hard over to the right and the disappearance of the northbound carriageway of the A1 in my rear view mirror - it looked like fog...
once had an old diesel astravan many years ago and the radiator blew up to twice its size because the h/g had gone, someone got a right bargain that night in my local block
Obviously one of your shortest projects! Well done. Yea, that brand new /second hand is a puzzling term to use in your business, Thanks for the content.
Had a v6 omega elite back in the day from auctions with exactly the same issues...low compression due to head gasket I parted it out and made double its value
Looks like an ex sparkies van. Always gunma be much cleaner and tidier than a general builders, painter & decorators or plasterers van...... That diesel engine sounded amazing. Very quiet and free revving too. My old peugeot diesels in the 90s sounded like proper tractors lol.
a profit is a profit , your profit per hour invested is probably more on the flip than the repair and your mot man is happy so a win win , the fast flips help keep the lights on while you are on the longer jobs, thanks for the content guys , enjoy the bank holiday 👍
Hi Rob and Chris another brilliant video as always.ive got one of these vans and it's brilliant really really nice vans you will do well out of this one👍
I've replaced a few radiators in these for same reason but luckily they didnt cook the engines, although I know what the engines and dpfs are like to change! thus one still has the protective film on the grill which is ment to be removed when it left the dealership bran new
Hi, love the videos.. ye do good work.. in your introductions sometimes you say 'i don't want to say...' yet the thumbnail has already given the game away😇😉😁😂😂 keep up the good work lads, very enjoyable..
Gotta love a quick sale like that once every now and then lads, quick earner and able to carry on with your other projects! I would’ve done same fair play best of luck to you both!
Wow brilliant quick in and out the door will make some one happy nice tidy van like looking at my vivaro in can bit apart from couple bits vauxhall put there mark on 👍🏽👍🏽well done guys
I Have just driven a transporter (2006 model) like yours to Ukraine from Denmark. It was from a construction company with a lot of brick dust/cement dust so ashtrays got stuck in the dust and warning lights had their own life when the road became full of potholes ( Started in the middle on the road). The car has been handed over to the Ukrainian military and must drive to and from the front. it had a generator, clothes, shoes and I brought my Garmin GPS with me. Everything was voluntary and I myself paid for diesel food and hotel + the journey home. On the train out of Ukraine we met others from England and Wales who do the same. They were more tired as they have to drive one more day. Nice car but too worn out and the engine could not be approved in terms of the environment.
Hope you guys are having a happy easter break, Thanks for the video. I'm getting to know you guys to well from watching all these video's L.O.L, I'm sitting thinking I'd bet that was cheap enough, why don't they bung it out for a few drinks on top and not fix it now it's a runner. The next thing you're saying you paid 3100 quid an it's gone for a couple drinks, a nice meal out and a weekend away profit thats the way to do it sometimes. I'm thinking Chris didn't realy want to do it to be honest, he kinda sounded like the enthusiasm bunny had hopped off over the hill ! I've got a few jobs coming up like that, so know how it goes sometimes. Take care guys.
Good stuff guys 👍 Quick question I've got a Vauxhall Vivaro 2010 & the (Check Injection) with warning light has just came on, any ideas appreciated ? Thanks Tim
What a fantastic turnaround, even though it was unexpected! Looked a very clean van so even if you did it yourselves, I could see a tidy profit in that but sometimes you don't even need to try, just flip them and keep on going! 🙂
“Brand new, second hand” I still can’t get over that phrase that Rob uses, still makes me chuckle! 😅😂
Mate it’s that good Iv been sent videos of other people now using it 👌👍

I have this exact same model and year. Had it for 3yrs and it’s been faultless other than a leaky windscreen. Lovely vans.

Very good turnaround guys. Nice bottle of wine over the weekend lovely and enjoy the rest of your Easter...
Nice bottle of red for me 👍🏼
Excellent 'Fliperty do dah' - way to go guys. It was well worth that phone call to ask how much for the repair. 'SOLD' with a profit.
Nice one! these quick turn around deals are the sort of thing that helps to keep the motor trade alive.

The NICEIC sticker does give it away, yeah. Racking looks about right too for a spark.
That’s because they leave their mess on site.
