I want to learn how to disassemble my doll so that I can do repairs as well, just not there yet.
Her head was varnished nicely with texture but her limbs feel like they didn't have anything done to them, they're very smooth and shiny.

I wanted to come back and tell you the results I got from using just the glazing gel as a sealer. You were right about everything, it seals very well. I let the sealer dry for several hours and then baked 3 times and she is holding up even after more than average handling. She is matte which I prefer, her "skin" does have a texture which I don't care for, but I will take it over the shine. thank you.

Oh Emily this was SO relaxing to watch! lol Watching you mix the varnish gave me life! haha SIlly I know but It is similar to why I love watching cake decoration contests and seeing them apply frosting lolol Your precious Scarlett (Ivy) must feel so renewed and like a new baby girl again!

I have a question did you just paint right on top of the old sealer or did you remove that first before you painted?

I saw an Scarlett on a website and the doll fingers and toes look like a SILICONE doll!!! I was so surprised by this
I'm not an artist but i got my first reborn in august of 2022. I love him so much he helps me with anxiety and depression but in february of this year his paint got ruined by my friends little cousin with real baby food that stained his mouth his mouth is now orange and paint is off on his lips inside his mouth and his chin i contacted his artist but sadly wasnt able to fix him
i was a little upset but ive gotten used to ir now i just wish he was able to be fixed

What do you do when painting the arms and notice a spot that seems to have been missed and you can see the difference on the arm? Can you just paint that spot?
I just got this doll paints already coming off I bought second hand I'm so upset what can I do I don't touch to much but the more I look the more I see white spots on her I'm so upset didn't think dolls paint came off so easy. Any one know can repaint her touch up her she's my favorite doll she's painted perfect too just a few places.I might do her myself I'm just nervous
Hello! I really enjoyed watching your video! So it is possible to repaint an already painted kit! At the end you mentioned you use lip and nail gloss. Do you apply it before you bake the limbs or after? Do you need to bake them again after you apply the gloss?? Also, is it possible to repaint eyebrows?? What about redoing them?? How can I "erase" the ones I want to redo?? Thanks again!!

Do you have to bake the baby after you varnish it? Or can you just let it dry without baking?
Baked 4 times...wow. Is it because your varnish was thick?
hello! i have a question since you seem really experienced with reborns, I just received mine 2 days ago as a late 17th day gift, and I guess, I was too excited to dress him, his lips, which are glossed, a little bit of it has like teared off or so, I asked my doll maker, she said just read varnish, can I use like mod-podge in any case? i don't want to mess up his lips either, they're really pink and noticeable.

My reborn is starting to crack..I only had him 2 years..He was custom made..and I have no idea to how to fix him..his maker is no longer available for me to send him back to get redone. ..can someone tell me how to fix this..😞
So how did her texture feel after using that much varnish. I would think it would feel crunchy no? I have not used the Satin Varnish, should you add a little color into it, depending on the color of the skintone you used? Or should you add a little blush tone into it?

can you use regular nail polish on the dolls nails?
My doll has this white power like stuff all over it after I did this! What did I do wrong? And can I fix it? Please help 😢
I am confused . If you use satin to seal the doll skin, is it not shiny ? What about matte varnish or M.thinner ? Someone on TH-cam using M thinner.
It really depends on what your preference is I personally prefer to use the matte varnish to it has the same effect and does not take as long to dry

Hi I have just put the last flesh layer on my reborn but feel it's a bit too pink .... please tell me there is something I can do instead of stripping it dwn 🙈❣
You can try and even It Out by using a green wash of translucent paint and for dolls that paint looks a little too orange use a translucent blue wash depending on what type of paint you use if it's oil paint you will want to dilute it with paint thinner and it may take more than one wash depending on how pink the doll is
I have had problems getting paints to stick to bonnie brown kits and also realborn kits
Try neutralizing your kits with a base coat layer first and the paint should stick better I usually use a combination of Flesh 08 with a very small amount of light and yellow maybe like a dab of each I hope this is helpful

Who do you use for rooting hair, I need babies hair rooted
It depends on what type of hair if you are routing with mohair you will need a 42 gauge needle and a routing tool and then be sure to map a plan so you can directional along Route it's going to give it that newborn swirl appearance there are tutorials on here to show how to do it it's fairly simple but time-consuming
