    It’s like making your own foundation, with yellow tones , I always mix my own as I change throughout the seasons .
    Love your voice

    Kim, I should have asked this question earlier because I'm only 1 layer from needing to do this one. I'm up to the blue shading layer just before the second overall skin layer. I'm following your tutorial and I'm so much happier with the results and so are the people who are watching the progress. I've used the colors as you demonstrate in your tutorials. But I need to make an adjustment to this next overall skin layer. Each of my 3 boys have had very tan looking skin even as newborns. The "son" I'm doing in this current kit has Scandinavian bright blue eyes and blond hair, but his father's 1/16th Cherokee skintones. I love his coloring and would sure like to capture that in this doll. It's tan-gold as if he'd been lying in the sun. What do you suggest? If any of the fans out there have asked Kim this already, please do share the info if you have the time. Thanks so much!!

    Hi I love your tutorials. I’m gonna try my hand at reborning, I’ve always loved dolls. Question, is there other paints I can use other than Genesis just starting out? and where can I get the wooden thing that holds the baby’s disassembled body parts? Thanks

    Loving your tutorials... you address everything very thoroughly. I appreciate that. I have a question please.... would you use the peachy keen on an auburn haired baby? (if not, what color palate would you suggest for that "coral" type (for lack of better word) complexion? Thank you so much for your time and attention to detail so that we might learn more efficiently.

    Hi I was wondering if you don’t have raw sienna in your paint collection for reborning could you use burnt umbre instead? What alternate color could I use to make this color it doesn’t have to be exact just close enough!

    thank you so much for the flesh 08 nail tip, tip. LOL. I really don't like the look of the white nail tip, babies don't come with French manicures. super idea! Love this skin tone btw!!!

    I am getting ready to paint my first baby and originally was going to do acrylics. I love to paint and have always used oils so I would possibly be more comfortable with them (the fact that I have oils here already helps too). The baking makes me nervous, though.

      Watching your videos makes oils seem like a great choice.

      There is no standard complexion for "Asian and Black mixed baby." Such a person could be literally any color. I'd need a photo to match to know what complexion you have in mind.

    If I don't have raw sienna what could I substitute

    • @Customdollbabycom
      @Customdollbabycom  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nothing will get the same exact results as Raw Sienna. I suppose in a pinch you could try Diarylide Yellow. But this is far more pigmented than Raw Sienna, so add with caution.

    can i use thinning medium in my paint that is real stiff to loosten it?

    • @Customdollbabycom
      @Customdollbabycom  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Odorless paint thinner would do a better job if you're just trying to loosen the paint and make it easier to mix. Thinning medium will give the paint more of a gel consistency, which can leave a texture or even a little shine if you're pouncing it on.
