    Check MSI GE67 HX prices & sales: geni.us/tBqHm
    Updates: 2:07 Mine doesn't actually have G-Sync, I am not quite sure how I made this mistake. I could have sworn it was there, but upon checking just now, the option is not there. Also I was able to find the OLED software under 'feature sets' which is a weird sort of icon on the top right of MSI Center, but still, this should just come installed by default.

      Can you test dark transitions on low brightness? What if someone like me wants to play a horror game, for example texas chainsaw massacre, which is coming out soon, on minimum brightness? how much blur there will be compared to an ips panel in that case?
      In the video you see transitions get slower as brightness drops too

      Are you sure this has G-sync? I have it in front of me and cannot see any way of activating it. Using Discrete GPU Mode and it won't let me select G-sync in the pendulum demo either.
      Also no marketing mentioning it?

      Zero burn in on my Samsung S series phones through the years and no burn in on my LG oled from 2019. Not an issue for me.
      The only time a tv gave out on me was due to the sun hit the specific corner every day (learned it the hard way).

    I've had this laptop for over a week now and the Samsung QHD 240Hz OLED is a literal game changer and not for the reasons you might think of initially. The display response times are out of this world as Jarrod has expertly showcased! At 240 FPS I sincerely have not played on a nicer screen for gaming and that includes my usage of the Alienware AW3423DW QD-OLED 175Hz and ASUS XG27AQM 270Hz gaming monitors. Instant response time, amazing contrast, and superb colors make this the best screen to ever grace a gaming laptop. It's just about perfection!
    Jarrod, MSI OLED Care is an option through my MSI Center but I won’t be installing it as I have my display set to turn off after two minutes and am very careful how I use the screen. Your unit performs like a beast! Mine doesn’t benchmark nearly as well but is still perfect for my needs. I didn’t know both the CPU and GPU feature the phase change thermal pad. Was the included 32GB DDR5 RAM x16? If I were to undervolt would you recommend starting with a -0.05mv offset like what came with your GT77? Thanks for the great review!

    I can actually notice the difference in panel type just through my phone's screen. The glossy and deep dark actually translate quite well and it shows really how different it is from matte IPS as it's both sharp and clear. I actually wished we have glossy displays now 😂.

    Ordered one here in germany. I wanted a laptop with the " holy- grail" config of i9-12900 + 3080ti in a travel- friendly 15 inch format, 17inchers are just getting to big for a small travel bag. Also a 1440p screen is enough for me and fits my 30inch screen at home. Heat with this performance and in such a small case will always be an issue. But right now it looks like Putin wont give us much gas for the winter so I will simply heat my room with the i9 :) I also have build myself a DIY cooling pad which gives good results...

      @sabata7658 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd love to hear why you think 17 is too big. Just purely out of curiosity, not argument. I've owned gaming laptops for over a decade and the modern 17.3 in laptops are way more portable than even the 15.6 inch machines were pre 2017/2018. Thinner bezels, smaller footprint, less weight etc. Hell my 17 inch machines fit my old 15 inch backpack with zero issues. With a tiny bit of room to spare tbh. Seriously my old MSI GP72 looks insane next to any modern 17 inch laptop and that's a model from 2017.
      Again not arguing, just curious. You stated it as if they've been getting bigger when they're still way smaller than comparable machines just 5 years ago.

      Yeah that’s what I really don’t understand about these Msi laptops bruh. I’ve been on a professional hp laptop for the past 4 years and it has windows hello. My brother got an asus g14 with fingerprint scanner. So I really want to upgrade to a gaming laptop that doesn’t do away with those very convenient features. I’ve been looking at Msi laptops like the ge66, gs77, and heck now this one, and it just irks me that they left all kinds of biometrics out. Makes me consider the asus m16 more but that device seems to take some performance hits because of its slim form factor

    • @jedisoldier
      @jedisoldier 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree. It’s little things like no biometrics, the giant charger, and a lack of type c charging which add up to be serious annoyances. Like it makes other laptops look much more favorable, even if they lack the Intel hx processor and OLED screen. It’s still a great laptop, but those issues have narrowed the target audience

    I had this laptop for about a week before returning it. The screen is incredible, probably the best I’ve ever seen on a laptop. Unfortunately that’s the only good thing about it. The trackpad and keyboard are not good. The refresh rate of the monitor is too high and doesn’t have any type of gsync or free sync, so if your frame rate fluctuates (which it will), it’s less smooth than a locked 60 and looks like judder/stutter. Upgrading the laptop is a pain and there’s zero support from MSI in terms of how to actually open the aluminum shield covering the RAM. Added to this, after 4 days I could no longer play any games in hybrid mode. Crazy graphical glitches and 10-15 fps when plugged into the wall. Did a clean driver and OS reinstall and had the same issue. Battery life was absolutely atrocious at about 2 hours on a full charge, idle, at min brightness. Basically went down about 1 percent a minute when not doing anything. Perhaps I got a lemon but I wouldn’t recommend this system to anyone at the moment.

    Hi everyone, I used to be long term Notebookreview forum member (c69k) , but as the forum got shut down, I try here.
    I think a lot of people are buying this awesome laptop for its 240 Hz OLED.
    A day ago I bought this lowest specced beast for 2450 EUR here in The Netherlands.
    I have spent some time to sort out initial problems I encountered and share it.
    HDR (works flawless)
    Games I play run in HDR (I tried Battlefield V, Everspace 2, Cyberpunk 2044 so far).
    For gaming in HDR I had to use Dedicated GPU only. Important thing was that every time I switch from Hybrid mode to Discrete I had to manually turn on HDR back on in Windows Display settings BEFORE playing a game to keep a game detect HDR.
    Taskbar problem
    I am using completely black desktop background, but in Windows 11 it is pretty much impossible to make taskbar completely black (pitch black). I finally found a solution and downloaded TranslucentTB application from Microsoft Store. After installing, the taskbar is completely translucent/transparent, so on black background it is completely black. (so no burn in lol)
    10-bit colors
    There is a setting in Intel Graphics Command center, and also in Nvidia Control Panel to select 10-bit colors. While in Intel panel it is easy, in Nvidia you have to play with refresh rates and resolutions to get the option, and only in Discrete Graphics mode.
    I will be adding some info to this post in the future for sure. I have one month to decide if I keep the laptop. Please share tweaks here or ask any questions.

      @@Aves_08 Hi, screen lid and around keyboard is metal, does not get hot at all during gaming. Hinges are firm (no screen wobble) and honestly, this laptop is great value for 1980 EUR because of the OLED. HDR movies at 600 nits and 240 FPS with SVP project and games are just ... mindblowing. I prefer playing at 60-70 FPS on OLED (cyberpunk HDR 2k maxed out) compared to having 120 FPS on friend's good quality IPS = pixel response time. If any laptop maker puts this or similar 240 Hz OLED with 4080 or 4090 ... then he will make sure HUGE profits.
      I am writing the above coming from using Alienware 13 r3 for 6 years straight also with OLED (60Hz). The difference between the two OLEDs is HUGE. It is impossible to go IPS, TN or MinLED after being so spoiled, honestly.
