Budget end there actually wouldn't be a huge difference. So getting a good deal during Black Friday be better. But upper Mid tier and High end is where one should wait. That will see a huge performance gain with new RTX5000 series.
Hey Jarrod, your breakdown of the gaming laptop market and when to buy was really insightful! You’ve helped me weigh the pros and cons. I’d love to discuss how my agency can help you with brand partnerships, so you can keep bringing more content like this to your viewers!
I bought a zephyrus 2023 for $1000 cuz it had everything for less than half of the good laptops. But, then like a few weeks ago I double checked and brands like razers $3999 laptops are going for like $1999. I took a shot about a year too soon. I bet next year you'll be able to get 4090 tier gaming laptops for like half off.
In Europe at least laptop prices are so high that you basically can build high end desktop super 4080 OC with ryzen 7800x3D for the same price that 4070 laptops , with 4080 starting basically 2500 ( for the worst display options ) -2800-3000€ and 4090 that can’t still beat the 4080 super with 3400-4500€ . Crazy
Its actually crazy. I live in Germany and have been looking for a 4080 laptop for the past few weeks. Literally nothing below 2200€. I can build a desktop PC with a 4080 super for 2200€. Those prices should be illegal.
@@Satoru38 the European Union cares about everyone I swear , only about us Europeans they don’t give a single Fck , and we are paying them for this very nicely . Man time to dust off pitchforks 😃
I found an MSI vector with a 14650 and rtx 4080 for 1999€, which is not bad. Not what I would buy though, but i did see a previous gen Asus M16 with miniled, 13900k, 32gb of ram and rtx 4090 floating by for around 2500€, which was honestly a steal. Last gen is quite nice when the current year doesn't offer much extra apart from form factor improvements/oled and (in some cases) extra batterylife.
The sneaky tactic is to wait for the 5000 series to drop, buy 3070-3080 Ti at bargain prices, then call it a day. You can play Med/High at 1080p/1440p in most AAA games on average and an easy Ultra at 4K on lighter games. Happily walk away and enjoy the extra money in your pocket. P.S. Refurbished saves even more. Some manufacturers directly sell refurbished on their official websites. FOMO people are also going to be re-selling their 3000 series for the latest, so practical buyers can get some pre-owned deals during this time.
like these old laptop will ever get any discount at all, mfker here still sell 2019 laptop at the same release price (of course no one buys them considering other laptop have much better specs with less price)
@@SPECTRA890 16GB is pretty much enough for a lot of things, really. I'm a Software Engineer making a living in tech and never actually needed anything beyond that. You can always upgrade if you think you need more.
@aziaufa418 you just have to look more for better deals online. It's draining but worth when you get something. Some TH-cam channels show deals sometimes and while you may not get those deals following those links trains the algorithms to be more likely to show you stuff like that
@@aziaufa418 Mine did. Got my HP Omen 16 (2021) with RTX 3070 earlier this year at a pretty sweet deal on eBay. Refurbished also isn't a bad way to go.
My Dell G7 died after many years in early Octomer. I wanted to wait but your page made me aware of a killer deal on a Lenovo Legion 7i Gen9 with a 4070! Ordered on Halloween and love it. Thank you so very much for your aweseom reviews and your best value buys page. I felt SO confident pulling the trigger that I got a beast for a great price. Thank you so much!
I bought a Lenovo LOQ (looking identical to Legion 5, Legion Pro) with i7-13620h, 16GB DDR5 RAM, RTX4060 115W and a 2560x1600 165Hz screen in mid-July 2024 for $870 and it works great to this day.
I don't see much reason to wait. The new CPUs and GPUs carry new names in order to justify full prices for the next generation. While the performance gain would be moderate at best. If one has an older gaming laptop, or no gaming laptop, getting one quite soon could be worth it, because you can start playing games now.
I got a 175w 4080 asus last year for $2500. I got tired of buying budget laptops just for the thing to be outdated and underpowered within a year. So far I have been able to play every AAA game at 4k 60~80 and dont see the need to upgrade for at least 2 more years
I bet your laptop is strix model might be scar 18 or g18. i agree with you, 4080 laptops are powerful enough to work atleast 2-5 years. Even gtx 1650 is still best budget gpu for desktop these days.
My laptop has a 3070ti and it is still super powerful even though it's now pushing a couple years old. At this point laptop gpus are all super powerful and anything newer than a 3060 should be able to handle most things as it is. If you need a laptop now just get one they're all gonna be fast and powerful
Corporations and thousands of engineers are conspiring to make the technology you have obsolete. You will never have the top-of-the-line anything for very long. So just buy what you need today with how much you can afford and be happy with it.
You sound smart, I need help should I buy a asus tuf g14 now for 2600aud or possibly wait longer to see if they do a sale or wait till next year for 50 series but I need the laptop before late January because I have school, so I also need the laptop to be good for school.
call me crazy but i just bought a laptop w/ the 3080 Ti (150w) and called it a day lol and i find the 12900H paired with to be jack of all trades even to this day. I've noticed many game studios continue to develop games with hardware that's still 3-5 years old, (look at the indicated recommended specifications). Anything beyond that seems to be poorly optimized unless you have the latest hardware, which I find unnecessary nowadays. I don't play games immediately upon their release; I still enjoy games that are 5-10 years old and don't require the latest hardware we've become accustomed to upgrading every couple of years.
Yeah, that's a completely good setup. I am actually frustrated, that I couldn't find a 3060 with 8gb vram anywhere offline. Also that is a good enough cpu too, as long as it is at least 12th gen.
@@devilboy4877 Ya very low in quantity, i don't think they made a lot of those. The 30 series really had a bad year or two due to scalpers (mining) and that whole chip/electronic shortage, This wouldn't surprise me, considering the significant economic toll that COVID-19 has had, making things quite expensive and shorter than usual in supply
@@Idreaus yeah but unfortunately for me i have to buy 4060 laptop cause i need at 8gb vram and i cant do anything about it. Its just so frustrating that i couldn't find it anywhere offline.
Managed to snag a Strix scar with 7945hx and 4080 for $1600 the other day, used. Checked the SSD with crystaldiskinfo and it's only had 23 power on hours total. Feel like I did well.
I sold mine for 63000₺ which is around 1800 USD but heard numbers like 1400USD too so yeah it is a bit planning you could buy even lower but it is nice
Rumours say that Strix Halo will perform like a RTX 4070. If true, it will be pretty efficient and interesting to have a small laptop that performs that well.
@@Windows11OfficialYeah i just bought a 4050 laptop 3 months back lol. It will take atleast a year for the price to drop for 5050 just like the 4050 and previous versions.
@@realbluesharkYea I had to buy one because my old laptop completely broke down and had to pay the early buyer premium. You can get a proper 4060 laptop now with a better CPU for the price that I bought the 4050. Gotta wait like 9-12 months for the prices to actually settle to true value
thank you for your video. I'm in that "wait or buy" situation at the moment. You confirmed my decision to wait. I sold my G14 zephyrus (2021) in that regard, i won't be looking too much at the price to have a good value (I look forward to the unnamed reference between 5070 and 5080).
Main reason why I bought a 4080 laptop to complement my 4090 desktop was the lack of vRAM on the 4070. I tried a 4070 laptop first, but quickly found out it was barely any upgrade at all from my 2080 laptop (same amount of vRAM, hardly any raster improvements). So, mission accomplished, I guess. Upselling their xx80 laptop cards. The 5090 desktop is reported to have 32GB of vRAM, yet the laptop "counterpart" is still limited to 16.
Not entirely sure! I just found this: „In his latest video, Tom from Moore's Law is Dead said that one of his best sources told him: "We're now conducting validation of the top Laptop GB203 configuration, and it has a ~377mm² die size and 24GB of GDDR7 memory over a 256-bit bus. What's interesting, is that I've seen no mention of a 16GB variant of this configuration for Laptop, and also that it's apparently targeting a Late Q1 or Early Q2 2025 launch".
These things will cost an absolute fortune when they come out. I would say, even today, a laptop with an rtx3050 should be able to run pretty much any game, and won't break the bank.
Personally, I have been saving up to purchase the best RTX5000 laptop and stay up to date from then on by always upgrading to the latest version. So I am planning on sticking to my LENOVO 3060 laptop until a beast 5090 laptop drops.
This last month i was looking local PC shops for Legion 5 Pro with 4070, and there is ZERO of these. All shops say that they had it before, but all were sold and there is no info when new batch comes. Month later, still nothing. However all these shops are filled to brim with 4060 variants of different types - Slims, Legion 5 Pro's and etc. 4070 is hot cake right now lol. Region is Central Asia btw.
If a gaming laptop dies you pay 70% price of its actually price to get it repaired 😢. This is the biggest risk with these machines. Extended warranty is a joke.
If your laptop dies there are 2 reasons: 1. You chose a bad laptop 2. You did't take care of it (dusting off, changing thermal paste, cooling pad, temperature control, balance power plan) The device you take care of will last you a long time
@ukraineforever1600 i have Asus tuf f15 i guess made a bad purchase. Every 3 months there is a new problem. I am using a hi raise stand and it's only 8 months old. There is no dust on the fans and I have limited battery charging to 80%.
@@invin101With asus its better to spend a bit nore and go with the high end models. I got the scar 15 from 2021 with the 3070 and it works great, no issues, won't be replacing for maybe 3 more years. But my friend got the g 15 with the 3050 and has had issues multiple times. Lenovo might be better for mid range options.
Yes, the new best setup is mini PC with eGPU. I have Beelink GTi14 with the PCIE dock for my 4080 super. It has maybe 1-2% performance loss over a standard desktop with 4080 super BUT it's 2-3x smaller than even the smallest ITX build. I can easily fit everything into a handheld pelican case for traveling.
Strix Halo can be direct competitor for RTX 4050/4060 but knowing AMD they will make "award winning" chip that then will be "available" in 1-2 laptop models that may or may not be in stock world wide and the supply will be so low the prices will be inflated :D
Rather annoying seeing the 70 series cards still having 8GB of vRAM. At least it reaffirms the RX 6800m being the best value laptop GPU like, ever, at this point. My next system will be a desktop anyways.
@@de-graftasafo-adjei4646 Yeah, I agree it's a great GPU and I sometimes reflect on whether I made the right choice going with the Legion 5 with a 3070 because it was a few hundred £ cheaper and I needed VRR over HDMI. I was also a bit put off by the issues reported with earlier units. The 3070's also turned out to be a good choice for wireless VR compatibility with Quest 3, and I've managed with 8gb VRAM so far, but I'm sure your 6800M will be better in the long term.
The main reason I´m wating was not even mentioned in the video: Strix Halo is bringing unified memory to Windows laptops, very usefu for those who want the laptop to work as well as game.
I got an MSI Raider ge68hx ( i9 1400hx 32gb ram rtx 4070) for $1300 , two months ago from Costco. It was on sale from msrp $1700. I'm wondering if I should return it now...
i just bought lenovo legion 9 gaming laptop with 4090, 32 gb ram, Ryzen 9 7945HX and 2k screen. i LOVE IT. best laptop i ever got. price was 3600dollars in retail but i bought it slightly used for 2900 dollars
10:52 Yeah more CPUs with 3D V-Cache would really be great here for gaming given what we saw with the 7945HX3D. Edit: Ryzen 9800X3D reviews are proof we definitely need moar X3D greatness.
@@JarrodsTech Would you suggest upgrading this black friday before tariffs hit once Trump comes in? Which current gen legion 5 cpu type would you recommend?
I've been impressed by 4060 laptops, I'm glad I got one and my friend has one too. They're generally quiet, which is something we didn't get much of during the ampere generation. Rtx 5000 (blackwell) will probably be a bit quieter and performant than Rtx 4000 (ada lovelace), but I think its well worth going for a new laptop now if the price is right
The performance to price is always an issue and the market will vary depending where you are in the world. Gaming on a budget can be tricky. But honestly, if you aren't too picky and only care about 1080p gaming, even RTX 4050 is good enough on a budget and at a cheap deal.
Had to move on a laptop in early September. I think having owned probably a dozen game laptops, I came to the conclusion the best power for dollar value comes in buying last generations best performance for last minute pricing. Buying down is not worth it on new hardware, and top end prices are just too much for the difference.
I've been looking to purchase my first gaming laptop recently, it's all very confusing. Tho it seems like a waste of money and time to wait for these newer 5000 series GPUs, black deals are tempting right now! Got any recommendations for sub £1000 laptop?
Are you sure about Black Friday? I look at price statistics of scar18 4090, at the beginning of 2024- 4200€, march 3600, June 3500, 1 November back to 4200, 11 November fals down to 3400-3600.
Jarrod I have a random question. First off, thank you so much for your incredible videos, you’ve led me to purchase a 16” legion slim 7i gen 8 4070 in 2023. I’m currently building my dream desk setup that would include my laptop and a 4k monitor (gigabyte m28u 28”). I would love to able to just plug my laptop into one hub or dock to connect to my keyboard, mouse, monitor, and charger but I’m worried that it’ll hinder my specs or charging power. I’m not too knowledgeable in these things, can you please advise me on whether I should get a hub/dock or not? If so, which one should I get. Sorry for the long comment 😅
I was hoping to ask your advise. I just bought a MSI 16" Vector 16 HX with a 4090 and 1 TB of SSD for $2399 plus tax, mostly for VR. Do you think I should keep it or wait a little longer to see if there are any better deals. Thanks for all the hard work and great vids!
There will always be a "Next Gen" or "Upgrade" Like the Ti's. The will always be a News Sale. If you need something and its on Sale, buy it. There ist always a reason to wait, you just lose time.
Jarrod I just came here to say you are the goat of portable pc AKA laptop reviewers. Your videos played a major role in 2 decisions I took in the last 2 years related to my computing needs . a.) Deciding what laptop to buy ,a 4060 at times with ddr5 ram that was more expensive with a 1080p screen OR an "older" 3070ti with a 1440p screen and ddr4 ram with options to upgrade the ram for cheap. (i settled for the 3070ti laptop and it turned out to be a good decision , big major thanks to your videos especially the one that compated it's performance favourably to the 4070 laptop) b.) Whether i should make my RAM dual channel by adding a new 16 gb stick to add to the existing 16gb ddr4 and how good of a value proposition it would be both in terms of performance and cost. ( i ended up adding a 16 gb ddr4 module with same timings , it was dual rank and the one on my laptop was single rank but i faced no issues or instability so far and laptop seems snappier with higher 1% lows especially , besides 32 gb rocks just for flexing)
Very detailed and informative video, February 2025 for 5080 and 5090 laptops means the 4000 series need to go on a deep sale because most of them are still at msrp from 2023 at $3-4k. I also hope the leaks are incorrect because it's going to be really disappointing if the 5060 & 5070 laptops don't have 12gb of vram and i'm hoping for more wattage for the 5090 as basically no laptop brand had an issue cooling the gpu.
from the trend in last few years...this isn't gonna happen to the degree you'll be expecting. 4000 series will be discounted but most retailer will start controlling their inventory early next year with appropriate discount but will never do deep discounts. This will continue until 5000 series laptop release so not only there are very few options/models of 4000 series laptop on the market, the ones left will have some major flaw in spec so their "discount" is only done appropriately....
Here's a hot take. If you want anything beyond the xx50 models, just build a home pc if you don't have one. That way you can upgrade as much as you want
If you have no use for a laptop, then sure, a DIY PC will always be better after a specific pricepoint Although, 4060 laptops are available below 750$/€ often, which makes it a competitive option against desktops. Especially since the screens have gotten really nice, the CPUs are good, and desktop parts are increasing in price
All through out the year there are Black Friday deals I quite literally never buy anything wholesale. Non stop price errors everyday on items worth 100s going for dollars .When they announce Black Friday it’s really just to notify everyone who does not catch the all year long around sale of course this can go from Best Buy to Amazon to other retail stores you really jus have to catch them at a good time. Like Black Friday the year long sales go just as quick if not faster during Black Friday they prepare for mass sale in products compared to when they mistakingly price something for few dollars worth 100s and they only have 30 of the items and end up selling 50.
I am thinking of getting the ROG Zephyrus G14 if there is a good deal during Black Friday? Do you think it will be better to wait till next year and get the new laptop GPUs?
Probably need to wait another whole year... These laptop manufacturers are releasing horrible things that don't have Thunderbolt 5, so you can't dock to a desktop GPU, the battery life is terrible, the CPUs are inefficient, and until has just barely become competitive again. Even if they fixed the CPU efficiency, battery life, external GPU capabilities, and put on better keyboards... What have they honestly done new in the last decade for gaming PCs? It's all just spec bumps.
Can you make a video on expected pricing for new laptops based on previous gen laptops. It would be helpful to make decision to hold or buy the 4000 series. Thanks.
I just read an article about this exact thing. Came very close to pulling the trigger on the laptop I was looking at. Have had my current legion for 7 years lol. What's a couple of more months right?
Would say upgrading from a hp pavllion 15 with ryzen 5-5600h rtx 3050 to legion 7i or pro with 4070 or the 4080 Be a good option as CS student majoring in AIML? I play games Black myth wukong, ghost of tsushima, rdr2 and many other AAA games.
I'm surprised by your CPU section on Intel actually; surely the rumoured '3D cache' would have a big boost to gaming, as was the case for AMDs X3D chips?
I got g14 4060, for traveling and gaming. Was actually surprised how good is it. Literally can play all games on high. Think maybe games like space Marines you see struggling if you connected to external monitor. I think I'll wait
if the 5050 has a performance equal a 4060 or maybe performs better (with a little hope that dies quickly) and costs less than a 4060 laptop, than i will be happy XD
Not going to cover it on the channel, I've used it since gen 2 and have gone through 2x gen 3s (first battery stopped lasting long after a couple years), I don't see any real benefit to getting gen 4 over 3 so I'll stay with 3. I like it overall yeah.
Using a 2021 3080 16gb + 11800h laptop and it feels like a brand new laptop with the highest end hardware... cause it kind of is lmao. Nearly in 2025 and a 4070 laptop is basically a match.
Which is better between Lenovo Legion 5 and Asus rog strix g16 , consider both having same specs I need it to give better performance, better cooling, and long lasting which among the 2 laptops would you suggest
I'm using Alienware m15 r7 2022 version, with spec rtx 3070ti & i9 12900h, 32gb ram, native display 1080p 360hz, with this spec i still get good FPS with ultra or high setting for most of AAA games in 2024. I plan on buy rtx 5000 series laptop on mid or end of 2025, hopefully the price will coming down at that time. and if not then i will stay with this "beast" until it happen lol.
I'm moving to another country in January and I will be buying a new laptop this month. I can get a great deal on a 4070 laptop now and otherwise if I wait until next year, first, I won't have my laptop outright when moving, and second, I don't feel like paying 1k bucks more for a slightly better performance.
The only thing that sort of makes less VRAM less painful than desktop is that laptop screens are typically QHD instead of 4K. But still really should've seen 10gb or 12gb as those caps you can hit at 1440p on some games like No Man's Sky where even 10gb vram isn't enough for my launch desktop 3080 at 1440p
To be honest 4070 , 4060 didn't need more VRAM The reason is simple they don't have the power to play games at that high resolutions and setting's In non realistic scenarios of course you can see some videos where it may cause a issue but you won't play in those setting's
@@Lucky-x4n Resolution doesn't help all that much if you want highest quality textures, which typically aren't very demanding on the GPU. Granted a good port will still look good with 8gb VRAM, but it's marginal especially if you also want to add some ray tracing or framegen (I use some ray tracing with good framerates on my 3070 laptop, so I'm sure the 4060/70 can as well). I'm sure 8gb VRAM will be supported in games for a while yet, but it's going to gradually become more of a compromise so I wouldn't spend too much on one ATM (there's some good 4060 deals out there right now).
@@steveco1800 still as your laptop is getting older it won't get better you can't upgrade it So it doesn't really matter With the correct setting's 8 gb is fine with those GPUs because as I said they can't push games to their limits My 3070 doesn't need more VRAM and it's stronger than a 4060 meanwhile 4070 is a bit more stronger than 3070
Hey! Could you make a list of lenovos? because so much variety of lenovo legion pro, slim gen 8 and 9 like intel and AMD that I get dizzy and I don't know which one to buy for this black friday
I bought a helios neo16 with 14900hx/rtx4060/32gbrams specs for $1,000 on Black Friday sale Considering my rendering and gaming work performance, It's probably the best option even after a few months
Wait until your powerful 40's series becomes the least powerful from more unoptimized high graphics games because they got more resources to use on the GPU.
Hey Jarrod thanks for uploading this video at such a right time . I spent my whole day today blasting my head finding out good deals for a asus g16 strix and ultimately coming to the conclusion of either skipping buying a new one at all or buying something which gives me similar performance as of the laptop I have already . My question for you is if you could kindly suggest me that should I go for a g16 strix with 4070 140 tgp with 14 gen i9 or the 4080 varient by stretching my already stretched budget or wait for the higher end 50 series laptops. Mind it I currently own a gtx 1650ti i7 10th gen 16(+ 16 added ram ddr4) and 1.5tb(1tb added) strix g 15 from 2021. Please respond to this for my peace of mind I desperately need an expert's opinion. Thanks a lot for this video and hopefully clearing my mind
or should i completely switch over to PC ( I am a student and I just want this upgrade for the sake of it and mostly for better gaming performance , I am not wise enough to come to a complete conclusion pls help )
4080 is 55% faster than 4070 at 1440p which is a big difference, depends if you need something now or can wait and see a few months. A 4070 is still a massive improvement over what you have though, so if you want to actually play stuff on a newer machine now rather than in 3-6 months, then you could buy during black friday sales. Go desktop PC if you don't need portability.
bro I planing to buy a new gaming laptop in the next 9 months , would you advise me to wait for rtx 50S or buying 40s ? the rtx 4070 price pretty good to me right now and it will be less expensive for next 9 months for sure but I confused with 50 series , what is your advice please?

Remember those days when x70 series used to be the best card for price / performance? nVidia being nVidia turned it from best to worst tier.
Yep, we really need some competition from AMD
The upsell tier.
You want more performance than the 4060, but 4070 is just bad for the price, so you upsell yourself to the 4080.
That's what Nvidia wants anyway.
5050 8gb looks like a great deal, also 115w tdp means a lot of thin and light powerfull laptops coming which is cool
My laptop has a 3070ti and it is still super powerful even though it's now pushing a couple years old. At this point laptop gpus are all super powerful and anything newer than a 3060 should be able to handle most things as it is.

I just found this:

If a gaming laptop dies you pay 70% price of its actually price to get it repaired 😢. This is the biggest risk with these machines. Extended warranty is a joke.
If your laptop dies there are 2 reasons:
1. You chose a bad laptop
2. You did't take care of it (dusting off, changing thermal paste, cooling pad, temperature control, balance power plan)
The device you take care of will last you a long time

The performance to price is always an issue and the market will vary depending where you are in the world. Gaming on a budget can be tricky. But honestly, if you aren't too picky and only care about 1080p gaming, even RTX 4050 is good enough on a budget and at a cheap deal.
Had to move on a laptop in early September. I think having owned probably a dozen game laptops, I came to the conclusion the best power for dollar value comes in buying last generations best performance for last minute pricing. Buying down is not worth it on new hardware, and top end prices are just too much for the difference.

(i settled for the 3070ti laptop and it turned out to be a good decision , big major thanks to your videos especially the one that compated it's performance favourably to the 4070 laptop)
b.) Whether i should make my RAM dual channel by adding a new 16 gb stick to add to the existing 16gb ddr4 and how good of a value proposition it would be both in terms of performance and cost.
( i ended up adding a 16 gb ddr4 module with same timings , it was dual rank and the one on my laptop was single rank but i faced no issues or instability so far and laptop seems snappier with higher 1% lows especially , besides 32 gb rocks just for flexing)
The only thing I'm waiting for is black Friday 💀 I do not need a 5000 series laptop. I don't even need 4000 series I mean who realistically does?.
Or maybe when you're an AI enthusiast that runs AI locally
If you have no use for a laptop, then sure, a DIY PC will always be better after a specific pricepoint
Although, 4060 laptops are available below 750$/€ often, which makes it a competitive option against desktops. Especially since the screens have gotten really nice, the CPUs are good, and desktop parts are increasing in price

I dont think the 5000 series will be a big leap of the 4000’ s but they ll help reduce the prices of the ”old” gpu's
To be honest 4070 , 4060 didn't need more VRAM
The reason is simple they don't have the power to play games at that high resolutions and setting's
In non realistic scenarios of course you can see some videos where it may cause a issue but you won't play in those setting's
@@steveco1800 still as your laptop is getting older it won't get better you can't upgrade it

With the correct setting's 8 gb is fine with those GPUs because as I said they can't push games to their limits
My 3070 doesn't need more VRAM and it's stronger than a 4060 meanwhile 4070 is a bit more stronger than 3070
Hey! Could you make a list of lenovos? because so much variety of lenovo legion pro, slim gen 8 and 9 like intel and AMD that I get dizzy and I don't know which one to buy for this black friday
I just wish they would make laptops a couple milimetres thicker so they could have better cooling.
I bought a helios neo16 with 14900hx/rtx4060/32gbrams specs for $1,000 on Black Friday sale
Considering my rendering and gaming work performance, It's probably the best option even after a few months
Wait until your powerful 40's series becomes the least powerful from more unoptimized high graphics games because they got more resources to use on the GPU.
I can see laptop makers sticking with 14th gen for gaming laptops. The desktop performance of Arrow Lake had been woeful in games.
I really really really hope that Fire Range will support upgradable RAM again.
