I absolutely love this laptop! I had multiple issues with the razer blade 17. Bought 3 different ones. 2 of them with dead pixel. Last one broke down - graphics card failure after 1 month of use. Been using MSI GE67 hx after that with 3080 ti. Build quality not as good and charger not as portable. However, power is much better. Screen just makes all the other compromises worth it for me!
I recently picked up the GE67 with the same specs as yours and love it so far. To note the ones currently shipping are coming with a smaller form factor 330w power brick that weight about .5 lbs less, it is much more manageable. I have found that my battery lasts about 5 hours with mixed non-game use. I am probably going to kit mine out with 32gb of ram and add another 2tb SSD in the available slot. That will make video work more manageable.
All this is very individual. For the last 4 years I have been using a laptop with a 2K oled screen. Yes, it's a beautiful black color, but the reflections on the glossy screen were constantly annoying. This year I bought a Razer blade 4K and now my inner perfectionist is happy) I really like your reviews from them, they do not carry advertisements from a mile away like from many others. Thanks a lot!
The dragon head on the top. MSi could bump the trade mark up and make it the most memorable. Get some animated fire 🔥 and or at least some smoke breathing from the dragons nose and mouth. Maybe a Godzilla noise on the screen when it starts.
Not sure I like the new design of 67/77 series, but since Black Friday sales are coming soon it’s now or never ( I think people should wait for rtx 4000 series announcement in few months). But laptops in 2022 were hard to find especially Lenovo, Asus maybe things will change in 2023 hopefully for the better.

I like your review because it shows that MSI is a brand for a very specific type of people: the ones who prioritise performance and gaming. MSI GE and GT series are basically desktops that you can carry around. They are more bulky, consume more energy, have poor battery times but they have by far the most powerful GPUs, CPUs, fastest memory and storage and beautiful screens. These laptop are beasts, and are made for that purpose. This basically confirms this laptop is for me hahaha
Sup my guy. I'm the one who proposed the temp trade for eval back when I had the Gigabyte Aero 17. Ended up buying the GE67, kinda regretted it, but lately been finding some value. It's still a heckuva beast. That screen. I also got the Alienware AW3423DW. I kinda hate spoiling myself like this.
MSI beat Razer to the punch and released a 2K OLED Gaming laptop. This is truly the best solution for a 15 inch gaming laptop. I would still prefer a Razer with a 2K OLED panel though because I think the MSI is a little bulky for my taste.
It is a bit bulky. And I notice it more and more every time I use it. Unfortunately there’s a pretty decent performance difference between the 2 though
Razer does offer the same 240Hz OLED Display in their 2022 Blade 15. You can only get it with one configuration though, i9 12900H, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD and RTX 3070 Ti graphics.
Hello thanks for the great review. Is the keyboard rgb lighting on the ge67hx this low? Did you turn it all the way up cuz it looks so dim comparing to the Legion
Finally I bought it but after 1 week I can not lie to myself - I got insane eyestrain and headaches however I never got any issues with OLEDs before. I was so sad but forced to return it :(
I don’t have devices long enough to test it. But o had this for several months and didn’t notice any. I don’t baby it or anything. This was with regular use
I was watchingvideo and thought it was 1080 and it was only 720 and it was way better than any other 1080 previous laptops. It is like a sports car. Premium.
Which would you buy?: Aero 16 OLED UHD 60hz or Razer 15 OLED QHD 240hz? or this one? the GE67HX OLED with the HX processor? Which one would you buy? No matter the price
Either the blade or the ge67. If you want thinner and lighter, go razer, if you want better performance go ge67. The difference in performance will be noticeable
Hey how do you think this laptop compares to the Alienware M17 R5 Ryzen 7? the ge67 is slightly over my budget but I could stretch. Just wondering which one you’d go with?
I had the m15 for a while and they are very comparable. The biggest selling point would be the oled screen on the ge67. But the speakers were better on the Alienware. Also the bigger screen. It’s a toss up. But honestly if you don’t want to go over your budget, the m17 is awesome
Really enjoy your videos, im looking to buy a gaming laptop and would really appreciate your opinion, right now im looking at the GE66 32gb 3080ti i7 12700H vs this GE67 16gb 3070ti i7 12800HX which one you would recommend for gaming on the go, these two only have a $400 difference GE66 being more expensive, i do have a desktop so this is more for travel gaming.
Definitely go for the GE67. Only hold back with the GE67 for traveling is the large power brick. I really wish it was smaller. Having said that I made it work and was able to travel with it
I don't understand why people complain about the chargers. These things pull a lot of power. You buy a powerful gaming laptop for that reason. The power inverter is going to be big out of necessity
I agree. More power larger brick. But MSI’s is much larger than the competition. Asus’s 330 brick is much smaller and lighter. Lenovo has a 300 watt brick that’s almost as thin as the laptop itself and also lighter. MSI’s size is just on a whole other level.
It looked ok. Definitely some dithering. Ran a few games at 1080p, but honestly every game ran well at qhd I never even needed to. And DLSS helps a lot too
Funny I’ve been working on a video for a while. If you care about performance get the MacBook Pro. They’re about the same price now for that configuration. But for the way I use a mac, it’s not noticeable to me at all between m1 and m2. I’m actually getting rid of both macbooks
@@consumertechwarehouse ok that's good to know For extreme portability mobile laptop blender, either m1 or m2 there is no performance differences then? For cigarette lighter plug and go charging. I used both extensively and this would be a very very difficult decision. I would go for the Blade because of the smaller charger for portability reasons, it’s thinner and the build quality is better. Also for my work flow, the larger 17 inch display and resolution is better suited for me. But for fast and beautiful screens, that 4k oled is amazing
@consumertechwarehouse yeah, love the razor sharp 4k display on the larger Blade screen, and trackpad and keyboard is a joy. I have a small GAN power supply for the GE67 though, which is nice.
