Man, are you me? I impulse bought the same model (bar the dock) exactly a week ago. Everything you said in this video is what I told my friends last Saturday... It feels like a glitch in the matrix. Anyhoo, enjoy the deck. Hands down the best gadget I've ever bought. Hope you have the same experience! Highly recommend Hades 2, if you haven't checked it out. I swear, it feels like it was made for the deck!
I'm about to become the 3rd 😅
4th 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Im the 5th , no joke, i keep refreshed my steam account to see the status and i just got my tracking number!!!!!
6th. Right here
Lolz, I was just fighting off the feeling to pull the trigger on the 1tb OLED. Because I'm getting that itch, had my deck for about a year and a half and I am thoroughly tempted. But everybody keeps saying no, just wait it out till the Deck successor is announced in about a year or so! And I swear i'm trying but its so hard and its still in my cart! Think calming thoughts think calm thoughts!!!
I bought the Steam Deck OLED when it dropped. It felt so good in hand. I was surprised at how well it performed. Unfortunately it did not play a lot of my library. I returned it and purchased the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme. It was an incredible experience. I know my way around windows so it was a breeze. I was shocked when it fried my 1 TB Micro SD card... The return window was still open so I returned it and purchased the Lenovo Legion Go. This Big boy is perfection for me. I know it might not be everyone's cup of tea but it does absolutely everything I need it to do and no little 7" screen. Its a fantastic time to be a gamer with so many options for everyone.
You, sir, are the case study on why competition between companies will always be a win situation for consumers 😂
@@MKIVD Yes sir, if my food is cold I will send it back 😁😁
Sure big screen but shitty IPS with mega low contrast and light gray blacks. If it was OLED I would be all over the legion go
Same, mine will be here tomorrow.. i got the 1 tb OLED, my justification for that one was.. "if i am going to do it, I'm going to do it right" lol.
Awesome! I hope you are enjoying it!
I got mine 2 years or so ago in the 1st week of shipments to buyers... great device, works great and has changed my gaming habits.
lol I love how as dudes, we tend to walk similar paths. New tech for dudes is like blood in the water for sharks lol. I ordered one about 3 days ago. I watched hours and hours of videos with reviews and experiences. I’m an older guy that has a serious PC and a PS5. Still, I identified a use for the steam deck and am looking forward to seeing what’s up.
you are going to love it!
@@tonydethpsnandxboxlive9434 it arrived. I have Alien: Isolation, Dying Light, Doom: Eternal, Cyberpunk 2077, and 2 others installed. So far…well beyond my expectations. The games run way better than I thought, but it’s the ease of use that puts a smile on my face. Comfort and ease of a console, portability of a Switch, but with PC-like power. I am happy lol.
Nice purchase, I hope you enjoy it! I bought my steamdeck a while back and I feel like it was a mistake. I'm mostly a PC gamer but I also played with my kids on the nintendo switch. So when I got the steamdeck I quickly realized that although games run fine, most of the games I played run at 30 or 40 FPS which compared to my laptop which runs at 90-120 FPS... it feels like a huge downgrade.
I know, it's a simple handheld device but for some reason I felt different when I used to play on my PS1 on the CRT TV and then the PS Vita came out... the games and screen felt sooooo much better than the TV...
I guess I'm getting old (and by old I mean I have enough money to get a good PC and monitor to notice the difference when I have an inferior product in my hands)
That’s fair! I have a decent PC, can run everything at decent settings nothing crazy but the ability to play PC games anywhere was such a selling point for me, lol aren’t we all getting old!
Bro! I did the SAME thing a few days ago! Waiting for mine. I've been hearing awesome things about it. 32 year old gamer here :')
I love impulse decisions and this has to be one of the better ones. Not only a handy dandy handheld but a good brand that games will aim to support.
I am 26, turning 27 and you made me feel old 😂
Also thinking about picking up a Deck
I bought the SD oled 512gb and man I'm so happy with my purchase I have not put it down . Great buy .
I literally just woke up this morning and bought one can’t wait for mine to arrive
I hope you'll enjoy it! Was thinking of making the same impulse buy lately hahaha Btw I wanted to let you know that as far as I've seen Valve allows you to switch the button layout to what the switch has in the Deck's settings, hope that helps :)
Bro im in the same exact boat lol such a worthy purchase. The emulation alone makes the deck incredible.
New here, ill be looking forward to your steam deck content
I just bought one a few weeks ago, honestly feels like being a bit of a kid against playing on it. Seems unreal what you can do on it.
Hey man just so you know, there's an option in the steam deck settings that you can swap the a/b to the way nintendo did it, and I chose this option since the only other "controller" type or handheld thing I use is the switch so... but yeah! not an issue if you want to swap it to the nintendo layout for those specific buttons!
Oh also I just got my steam deck about 2 weeks ago myself, along the same lines of thinking xD and I, too have a fine gaming pc + switch but don't like nintendo games all that much aside from Zelda franchise. so yeah, same boat! I'm loving it so far, honestly so many things to do with it that I'm still discovering new things everyday and hardly even spend the amount of time gaming as I want to cuz of how much I'm playing around with other things haha
Right on man, treat yourself!
You can turn switch input on if you'd life
this video made me an instant subscriber.
I think this is my sign to impulsively buy it too!
Im going to buy one soon honestly bro
Same reason I bought mine…wife treated me for my birthday. I just turned 29 😭😭
nice deck!!! good vid dude
Your bedroom looks nostalgic for some reason
Remnant 2 runs on the steam deck. Tried it today even though it says no support. Lowered the framerste to 30fps, and it runs very well. I know it's random, but i saw the steamdeck and had to share 😂
That’s awesome! I’ve been interest in trying Remnant 2 but haven’t yet, might have to!
The first thing I do is verify if a game can be played on my steam deck before purchasing. I love that I can sit on the couch next to my super girl and spend time with here and play my pc games :)
I did the exact same thing too 🎉🎉🎉
A tip for ya if you open a game and then hit the left menu button it opens the controller options
Steam Deck Oled is a beast XD
Try legion go is dope
Got one 2-3 weeks ago.. incredible freedom. So Open for Community driven stuff.
i love the steamdeck but its to big for my hands so i mainly use my loki zero a lot more. which works out because i only play older games.
What you said in this video is 100% of what I did
The real question is: Why are you a Leafs fan? What have they done in your lifetime to garner your loyalty?
I was born into the Leafs Cult and am to the point I can’t leave, just continue to be disappointed..
lmfao shots fired on the boy's team
You can add gyro controls to any game
0:21 that’s what she said
my hands don't cramp up at all with my deck
impulse or smart buy
How old are you dude?
I personally regret buying the steamdeack out of fomo. Honestly have no real use for it outside of house. My ayn odin device is much more smaller and easy to play with than the deck. Easy to hid my odin in lunch bag. The steamdeck while much more powerful and x86 base, its not as convenient as a android base handheld.
yeah but the switch can play all the nintendo games too.. better than the nintendo hehe
I am wiser. I didn't make the same impulse. Those things are not durable. Soon, you will have issues like, screen not turning on permanently because the motherboard is toasted. Like desktop PC's they will burn out.
Yeah I see a lot of issues online but also a lot of people praising it. Risky purchase
i’ve had mine since release with many hours of gameplay, sitting in hot car, leaving battery discharged for months at a time, it’s been dropped and mishandled a bunch and still working lol
Wasting money on a Limp Deck. Sad.
