I remote play on my OLED with Chiaki4Deck for PS5 and Greenlight for my Xbox Series X. Really amazing. You should try it out Matt! Anyway just subbed man keep em coming
I was so mind blown by how they've optimized Cyberpunk 2077 for the Deck. Alien: Isolation, although an older game, is still a great looking game and the Deck runs that phenomenally. Doom Eternal also runs like a rock star. Dying Light is what I've been playing the most. With some tweaks, 45 FPS target has been great. So the deck has me being able to get to my backlog and the older games are running great. I too am looking at games I'd never play (looking at you V Rising lol). I did also test the streaming from my PC to my Deck. Pretty cool, but I don't want to get used to being tethered in anyway. All in all, I am very impressed with it and it has been about 5 days lol.
I just got mine a few days ago. I’m still trying to figure out desktop and how to emulate. I also kinda wish I got a cheaper one and ordered a terabyte, but I wanted the oled. I like my big games and 500 gb is not looking like enough. I just ordered a terabyte micro sd card yesterday. I’ve never really gamed much till now. I haven’t had a console or computer good enough. Now I do. I’m slightly addicted to it. The thing is incredible. I’ve played Spider-Man remastered, vampire survivors, and assassins creed black flag. None have crashed. Vampire survivors gets 100+ fps. Black flag sits at a stable 60 fps and doesn’t really even dip and battery runs about 4-5 hours. Spiderman ranges 30-50 fps and battery runs a few hours. On a little handheld you can’t really see choppyness until mid 20s fps. None of the games have had any issues or crashes except for very minor glitches that may just be the game.
Love my deck, and the trackpads, I use them for loads of old FPS and strategy games. Glad you are enjoying it. Valve did a ton for work on the operating system and flew Linux support to the moon.
I’ve had mine for a month I was torn I love my my switch but I will say this has toppled it . Emulation and the indie games man great system and worth every penny .
I remember checking everyday and it said processing or something (I live in Canada not sure if it’s different) but about the 4th day it said it have shipped, got the shipping info the next day through email then showed up the day after!
Meh not doing research, When people say they are 'trackpad guy' it means they have found some uses that are irreplaceable, when you play the game if you just use it as is ofc it's not gonna work, you are supposed to set trackpads to functions you want to use for each game. Try virtual menu or nested virtual menu for example.
Do another review on it please. I’m an Xbox guy. I don’t like windows. I’m A MacBook dude. Therefore looking at steam deck. I’d love you to do a tutorial on how to download forza etc
Eeeey I just got mine 3 weeks ago as well. My right wrist hurts 😂. Anyone suggest a grip that can come off easy jusy so that I can have better ergonomics? Subbing to follow your journey.
Why does it have to be better? So dumb. Steam Deck is better built, more comfortable, has a better battery, and gets higher frame rates on lower wattages.
if you use the trackpad for the on screen keyboard, the left pad covers the left half of the keyboard and the right covers the right half of the keyboard. I personally didn't realize this right away, so I figured I'd mention it
I recommend the game BlazeBlue: Entropy Effect if you like fighting games and roguelites where you can get random powerups every couple of levels kinda like dead cells in a way
Just thinking I have my Deck waiting at home after work makes my job fun.
Try working from home with it lol. It’s so tempting! 😂
I just ordered mine a few nights ago, cant wait to get it!
Did you get it?
@@Barney_rubble983 yes and It is amazing

I’d grab a used G cloud for like $150 for streaming. The deck is so big and heavy it’s overkill for streaming but great for a standalone device
