Dr Mandell. I have been suffering with pelvic floor issues for about a year now. I discovered legs up wall from my dear wife who is a yoga teacher in BKS Iyengar tradition, and had trained under him. The number of benefits from this practice alone are immense. To make this even better I stay in legs up the wall posture AND do the butterfly pelvic floor opening in that position. It allows you to stay very relaxed and can get good positioning of the hands gently pushing down on the knees. Gently going from side to side, as you suggest, wonderfully opens and loosens the SI joints. Thank you so much.

I have been doing the pelvic floor exercises in previous videos. Many men need to do these excercises as they get older. Blood needs to get into this area of the body. The first excercise is interesting! A new tool in my toolbox! These pelvic floor exercises are terrific!

I have been practicing the inversion leg raises. Works well! This morning was the first day to try the second exercise ‘Opening Up the Pelvic Floor’. Actually, I was more flexible then previously thought and happy with how closely your instructions could be followed! Feels so much better. Thank you for the encouragement and clear instructions!!!!
I am up in age - 80 is around the corner but I am going to try this. I already know that sitting position is going to be hard for me. It will take some time for me to straighten out my legs. I think this will do a lot for me. It is never too late.
I guarantee I won’t feel awkward Dr and thank you for following up on the pelvic floor dislodging those taught muscles as I only know you to talk about this problem that my injury caused, nobody talks about…only you plus we’re not as flexible as when were younger so this exercise also will be much appreciated 🙏❤️
