    I came across this video 3 weeks ago and have been doing everyday since. This has changed my life! I was not able to eat without esophageal spasms and pains in my back for 2 months before starting this. I didn't even know what a Vagus nerve was. One the first day I was able to eat without discomfort or pain and everyday there after has been more pleasurable to eat. I have expanded my food pallette to many foods I ate before the spasms started. You are doing a great service to the people by sharing your knowledge. A thousand thank you's!!!!

    Thank you. Here are ways to stimulate your VAGUS nerve
    Alternate-nostril breathing
    Apply cold compresses to your face and the back of your neck
    Be quiet
    Breathe deeply and slowly
    Compliment others
    Connect with nature
    Diaphragmatic breathing, the slower the better
    Eat a whole-foods diet
    Exercise (within your ability/within your physician’s guidelines if you are being treated for upper cervical instability)
    Expose your skin to sunlight
    Have an attitude of gratitude
    Hum (such as a rhythmic Om)
    Laugh and giggle often
    Listen to calming instrumental music versus amped-up, heavy music
    Listen to music with uplifting, happy, grateful lyrics versus complaining, bitter, spiteful lyrics
    Sing (make a joyful noise!)
    Massage
    Meditate
    Nostril breathing (versus mouth breathing)
    Pray for your own healing and for others (including those who you may see as “enemies” or ones who have hurt you)
    Reflexology
    Regularly move your body
    Say “thank you”
    Smile as much as possible
    Take probiotics or eat probiotic foods
    Visit with people who lift your spirit versus make you feel crummy

      @@SuperCkram you can’t just make a statement like this without providing context or resources to learn more. How much is over-doing it? What are the signs and symptoms? Are psychic repercussions positive, negative or neutral?
      .
      Personally i want psychic repercussions. I want deeply held stress and trauma to be released.
      .
      Edit: perhaps these trauma releases are what you were referring to: someone may do this for general stress relief and unwittingly bring the trauma from subconscious to conscious awareness. That could indeed be troubling for some who didn’t know that’s a possibility.

    Thank you so much for this awesome routine! 😱 You know it's crazy I'm almost 50 and I never thought in a million years that my IBS/PTSD issues were tied to the vagus nerve. I noticed everytime my solar plexus would tighten my mouth would get really dry. Who would have thought it's all connected to our nervous system. So grateful to learn this today. I couldn't sleep. I'm actually relaxed now. Goodnight to me that is. 😴😊💜

    Adjustments I made for my body that might help others:
    1) Checked curvature of lower spine for personal comfort;
    2) Relaxed tension in upper shoulders and base of neck;
    3) Tapped on areas with less force;
    4) Lowered the repetition count from 30 to 10-15 for each progressive change in the sequence;
    5) Alternated between tapping on diaphragm (in upper abdominal) and lower chest/heart region;
    6) Pushed mindfully around sensitive areas of my belly region;
    7) Adjusted clothing as necessary in the situation;
    8) Stayed mindful of comfortable performance in place of perfectly following all the exercise, since it’s about tuning into each individual body’s stress and pain response.

I’ve dealt with panic/anxiety disorder for decades, used medication decades ago, managing on my own since because don’t want to be on benzos. This is by far the best thing I’ve come across and discovered when combined with deep and box breathing techniques. I find of I do it daily or every other day, even when not anxious, my anxiety is manageable. If I forget for a few days, anxiety spikes, but doing this helps bring it down into the manageable range again. I am trying to make this a daily habit about with my breathing techniques as well as medication. Stay with it! It helps!

    Oh my goodness. This is lovely. I have microscopic colitis, PTSD, SA trauma, and generalized body pain and weakness that I am still trying to get diagnosed. My life is very full of stress and demands, and I felt better after this short session than I have in weeks. I am so grateful for this practice. I also really like the clear, straightforward instructions and explanations. A very energetically clean practice! Thank you!

    I just want Linda and Gabi know that what they wrote in the description resonates with me very closely. Thank you, and thank you for this: "We suffered from high-functioning loneliness and depression our whole lives. We lived different lives in different states, but when we met, we realized we were struggling with common issues that reflected an important problem in our young adult generation. We didn’t know who we were, what we were passionate about, what we should live for, and what direction our lives were “supposed” to go. We spent a lot of time wandering in search of that magical ‘answer’ that will solve all problems (like I’m sure most of you are doing right now), and yet the further we searched outside, the more pronounced the emptiness inside of us felt. "

    Wonderful effect ! Will do this daily ! I’ve been having fluid retention all over, resisting any treatment for many years. Only fasting for days would help. With this exercise, I feel the tingling, bladder activation etc. Brain fog and fatigue gone too with just one session. Very grateful to you !

      What do you mean by bladder activation? Asking because I have been having a difficult time getting the stream of urine going even if bladder has plenty in. I thought it was tight because of often being so anxious - but still experience even if I think Im totally relaxed. So, when you said bladder activated, ( because of this exercise) I am curious what you mean by that.Thanks!

    Thanks very much for this, this has actually done something. Ive struggled with severe anxiety and panic attacks most of my life along with severe bouts of despair type depression. I've even become abit agoraphobic now from working from home during the pandemic so my mind cant handle busy places anymore it seems.
    Today marks 2 months off booze and its been torture trying to get my head straight and relaxed, absolute nightmare but this exercise was amazing. Really worked well for me so thank you for this 😢.

      i read a note in one of this natural-theropy masssge places that said:
      “inner peace begins the minute you stop letting other people, and events control your emotions”
      dr. phil has a saying that’s pretty deep:
      “what other people think and say about you, is none of your business”
      meditation masters alway give this sound advise: “live in the now, because the past is gone, and the future is not here yet, the only time that counts is now”
      stay in the now!
      - listen to eckhart tolle & joe dispensa
      what i do is go for a walk ALONE !!!!
      stop giving in to those panic attacks.
      you’re letting others bother you,
      stop that.

    I’ve been doing this for about a week now, realizing after years of medication that my vagus nerve was the problem.
    I use it as a little gift for myself at the end of the day. Right before/after shower when I’m sure I’ll be doing nothing more than chilling after that. I’ve been feeling much more relaxed lately and sleeping like a baby. Thank you 🙏

    I cannot tell you how good I am feeling this after doing it just once. I felt so calm and felt like crying and now I am feeling colder and peaceful (everytime I do exercises to release stress, anxiety,brain fog I feel colder).
    Most important thing it did for me was - I have been feeling stuffiness, and tightness in my solar plexus and it made difficult for me to breathe, walk for longer periods, meditate,focus etc but now I feel less stuffiness, it's still there but less. So I am going to do it everyday. I tried lung, stomach meridian exercises too but non of them helped but this one did wonders. I am so excited for tomorrow now.
