      I don't like Irn Bru. (At all). ...
      I am not allowed (😢) to drink anything that has _grapefruit_ (which I used to like) or _cranberry_ fruits _or_ juices (which I also used to like) because I have to take _Warfarin_ now, and those fruits stop _Warfarin_ from working efficiently. (Sad face! 😥😥)
      I haven't had _Tizer_ for decades, but used to love it...
      I _do_ _like_ *Ginger Beer* though. ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🙂🇬🇧🖖

    IRN brew.... Made in Scotland from Girders!

    • @DaveBartlett
      @DaveBartlett หลายเดือนก่อน

      The "Made in Scotland from Girders" slogan is to emphasize the claim that Irn Bru has Iron as an 'active ingredient'. What it does have in it's ingredients, are trace amounts of ammonium ferric citrate, (Yes, there's iron in that, but only as part of a compound.) It has been estimated that the TOTAL amount of iron in the TOTAL amount of ammonium ferric citrate in the TOTAL amount of Irn Bru ever manufactured since they began making it, wouldn't come close to the iron contained in ONE SINGLE GIRDER!
      So "Made in Scotland from (a microscopic bit of) a Girder" would be a more honest advertising slogan!

If you can find it, Ben Shaw's would be one of the better ones; avoid the Fentiman's though... they are marketed as more of a premium brand, but their drinks don't taste much like what they claim to be. Tizer changed its flavour a number of years ago and it was much, much better then. I suspect the UK banned something and they had to change their recipe, but who knows.
    interestingly (or not) Lilt was, up until recently, its own brand. Then coca-cola decided to add it to the expanding Fanta flavours.
    Out of the 4, Irn Bru is the best for me.

    Irn Bru has a closley guarded secret recipe, it doesn't taste of anything specic other than Irn Bru. It is the most popular soft drunk in Scotland, outselling Coke and Pepsi, it makes a great mixer with Vodka and cures hangovers
