Guys, you need to understand, in the UK and Europe, we have strict laws on sugar and artificial colourings. Its for your benefit.
Doesn't benefit the flavour does it and let people decide if they want sugar or not.

It definitely isn’t for my benefit! I have an intolerance to sugar free or zero drinks/ products and make me very poorly. Yet trying to find a drink while out and about is getting harder and harder. We should be able have the choice, not forced upon us.
Having tried soda in America, I can safely say you are welcome to keep it. I'll happily keep our UK soda without all the nasty ingredients/colourings and insane amounts of sugar. Its basically to diabetes or not to diabetes, that is the question lol

Where i lived in the north east of England in the 80s we used to have a weekly 'pop man' who would appear like an ice cream van, but who sold only Barrs pop.
Everything came in a glass bottle, which you returned to rhe delivery guy the following week to get your deposit back (a bit like the Canadian glass recycling scheme).
Yes I remember the pop man in Newcastle upon Tyne...Barrs cherryade and limeade were the best two in my opinion!

I used to be a 'Pop-Man', back in the 80's!
I worked for a company called Alpine Soft Drinks, & delivered door-to-door, similar to how a milkman operated.
We had a range of around 18-19 different flavours of 'pop', from lemonade, to dandelion & burdock, with a few weirdos in there too, like blackberryade!!
Ok, it wasn't as 'glamorous' as Pepsi, or Coca Cola, but it was cold, refreshing, & most importantly, dirt-cheap, which made it very popular! 😋😋😋
Tbf we don’t drink soda. We are basically just sat in a pub once we’re born haha

Lol...had my first "shandy" in the local bar with my dad aged 12.
Pint glass of beer with an inch of lemonade on top and a heated pie (food) to comply with the law.
Since UK drinks manufacturers were forced to reduce sugar content in carbonated drinks, the flavour profiles of most just radically changed. All I can taste is the artificial sweeteners they use. Shandy, a mix of bitter beer with lemonade, is a very refreshing drink on a hot day.
Barr cherryade and limeade are AMAZING!!!!
Also, orange tango is my favourite soda by far
Barr's Cream Soda and Limeade are , outside of Irn Bru , the best Barr's drinks. Especially as a ice drink with a scoop of proper Italian ice cream.
Shandy is wonderful on a hot summers day, ice cold in a CLEAN glass.
It used to be just under 1% alcohol when I was a kid.
I laughed and laughed having been brought up within a short drive to the Barr's plant in Falkirk,
The area was choked with foundrys casting steel and the workers drank Barrs Irn Bru. If you ever see a bottle of Irn Bru. 1901, original recipe its quite diffrent.
Regardless it outsells Coke here which is not normal in the scheme of things
what i find from uk soda, it doesnt have diabietes inside. But it does taste good

The club soda is Irish, Ireland is not part of the UK. As for the drinks you have there I would not say any of them are "mainstream" you tend to see them in local corner stores rather than the big supermarkets.
I told you about Rio on a live stream sadly it's just been sold and the recipe changed :-( still nicer than those sodas in this video. The other brand to look for is Rubicon I like the passion fruit and the pineapple. Rubicon comes in still and carbonated like the vimto and ribena

UK lemonade, not US lemonade (same name/completely different drinks!) 🤣
The American taste bud palet is accustomed to high fructose corn syrup whereas in the UK it's glucose cane syrup
I’ve noticed that American soft drinks have a LOT of sodium added as well as sugar in comparison to UK drinks where there’s usually very little sodium to none at all and it really makes a big difference in taste. The taste of most UK soft drinks is much more subtle. This is only the second video of yours that I’ve watched so I don’t know if you’ve already tried these, but I would recommend trying Irn Bru, Lilt, Vimto, Lucozade, Ribena (ready made in a can or bottle) and Lemonade (my favourite brand is R. White’s.
You so need to try The barr cherryade that is by far amazing I drink it regularly because the taste never gets boring and there raspberryade is good

Back in the late 80s SLASH early 90s, we used to have a Hubba Bubba flavoured fizzy drank, and it was so sugary it could probably strip paint. It was great, though, as a kid 😆 Anyone else remember Tab Clear and Quatro?

You might try Vimto, Cawston Press Rhubarb, Schwepps Bitter Lemon (the clue is in the name), and Cloudy Lemonade

The slash doesn't help you here - Dublin is in Ireland, and Ireland is neither the UK nor Britain. For people who live on Great Britain, they might refer to it as British because we call the islands "The British Isles" but this isn't actually the recognised term for Great Britain, Ireland and the other islands around it. In Ireland and in formal documents on treaties etc between the UK and Ireland, the islands are referred to simply as "These Islands".
Belfast and Northern Ireland are part of the UK, Ireland is not.
Not judging at all, the geography and politics of the UK, it's constituent countries and it's neighbours is really complicated!

Tango is often found alongside fanta/coca cola/pepsi etc so similar level

I am from the UK. I would agree with your ratings. None of the drinks you reviewed would be my favourite. I've had them all. Incidentally I have tried root beer in the USA and found that to taste like mouthwash. Other than I think US sodas are great.

I love my Shandys but the rest are bloody disgusting 😂... plus no, we don't want Barrs going out of business they make Irn Bru, Scotland is the only country where Coca Cola isn't the number one selling soda, id like it to stay that way 😜😂❤

The extra taste of US Cream soda isn't down to the toxins and sugars within the colourant. The more you try UK stuff the more you will come to realise that the taste is truer rather than engineered through putting so many harmful chemicals in the crap on offer in the US - nonetheless, another enjoyable vid - keep 'em coming. 🙂

I think the fact that U.S sodas are packed with sugar…your tastes buds are dead …lol.. there are a lot of artificial sweeteners used in the drinks … plus Barr is not really a good brand .. plus the Uk has the sugar tax.

Barr is a cheap soda brand here in England, I don't know anyone above the age of 12 that actually chooses to drink it, as a kid I did like the Cherryade one.

You need to be up here in Newcastle - it's still THE brand of choice, and generally what you find as the drink selection in every fish & chip shop too. Probably because of our proximity to Scotland.
