There's an art to making a pot noodle. 1: peel back lid half way. 2: fill 10mm below recommended line. 3:press lid down tight and seal it, then leave for 5 minutes. 4: peel back lid fully, stir thoroughly and then add sauce contents and then leave for a further 5 minutes. 5: enjoy. I personally think they're best when they are a thick consistency with hardly any liquid.

Ate these when out on operations as a member of a certain military unit, we called them, "snot poodles". Just add hot water, they were okay if you'd been out in the field for sometime, hot and filling.

The BBB and Piri-Piri chicken flavours are the go-to's, the only others I'd have is the chow mein (with added soy sauce) and the curry one if I can't get any of the above.

The pot noodles usually come with a sachet of soy sauce or some other condiment, usually whatever flavour profile the sachet is, that would be a good sauce/flavour to add to the pot noodle yourself. The chicken and mushroom pot noodles used to have a way stronger soy sauce sachet, so adding your own dark soy sauce to taste is the way to go
I don't eat British made Pot Noodles; I consume imported, Korean noodles which are far more flavoursome, have a better texture if you follow the instructions to the letter; they are just tastier and filling.
I do watch Americans in general trying British food etc. They do seem to like to be hit with flavour!! Subtler flavours don't seem to float the American palate!!! This may grosse you out but Heston Blumenthal once cleaned his palate using a tampon ( yes!!!! They are sterile!!!) This allows the subtler flavours and aromas to be tasted!!! Yes you never thought it was going there!!!!
I think Heston Blumenthal does that kind of thing for the simple reason that the public expect him to. Despite all his avent garde recipes and twisted creations, I'll bet he just settles down at home with a bacon sandwich, just like the rest of us.
I’ll be honest guys… doesn’t look like you made the pot noodle properly (how we make them) Your supposed to add less water than they the instructions on pot say and then pull the foil back over to steam the noodles…. Those look runny as hell and that effects the flavour! This was something I suggested on your past video when recommended chicken and mush.
There is a fork that was made to go with pot noodles so you eat them correctly (no shovelling on to a normal fork) you should put the fork in and twist the noodles round it, but the pot noodle fork is battery operated and makes you eat them properly. Never chop them, as it is said to bring bad luck.
Chicken and mushroom back in the day was the best man. Only way to kind of have that nostalgic flavour back is adding a couple(or more) glugs of dark soy sauce
Pot Noodles can also double up as Food fight Grenades. Someone starts a food fight, simply make a pot noodle in cover and lob it towards the enemy (if it's a spicy flavour the better for maximum eye burnage)
If you when adding water you add a heaped teaspoon of peanut butter you will change your pot noodles for the better , it makes the sauce thicker and on a bombay bad boy it turns it into a satay and is much better
Mooo! Thanks for the shout out at the start of the vid, you bunch of mad cows! As I said before all you have to do is buy one of each flavour of Pot Noodle, empty the ones you aren't trying in the vid into food containers, make the one you are going to try and then separate it into the empty pots (with an explanation of what flavour you are trying in the vids to avoid any confusion or cover up the flavour with some tape or something) then wash the pots out and keep them for the next vid! Eating Pot Noodle from a bowl is like drinking a vodka martini from a plastic cup, it's just not done, old chap!

I think chicken/mushroom amd maybe beef/tomato if my memory is working were the first flavours they came out with about 45 years ago. I liked them until we went on a coach/camping trip to Spain our first ever foreign holiday and my mother took a suitcase full of pot noodles as they were cheap(we were on a budget) and light to carry and she didnt think we would like any Spanish food.... I didnt eat pot noodle for over 20 years after that holiday.
I always remember that Beef & Tomato came with a sachet of tomato ketchup, and Chicken & Mushroom came with a sachet of soy sauce.... ....and 45 YEARS AGO!!!? Thanks for reminding me how old I am!!!!

Eating them from a bowl is actually preferable. If you eat them from the pot then all the sauce sinks to bottom and you're left with only sauce as you approach the bottom.
Nobody but you and the mad cows eats them from a bowl! If the sauce sinks to the bottom then you aren't making them properly! Try stirring them vigourously!

Lads if you like spicy 🌶️ Pot Noddles you’ve got to try the ‘Donner Kebab with Hot Sauce Sachet’ Jesus Christ it’s hot 🥵 and I mean burning your stomach when it hits it hot. You lads seem to like hot stuff so I recommend the ‘Donner Kebab Pot Noodle’ and this time you fill the kettle, a pulsing hot water up to the line and put the lid on and leave for a good 4 minutes I leave it then add the sachet of sauce and recover and leave for another 3 minutes and dig in when it’s scolding hot. If you don’t need to blow on it to cool it down then you’ve done it wrong. Good luck trying to get this one down. I like spicy stuff but this one is on another level.

There are pot noodles soda (i forget exact name). Kind of Japanese inspired. They are decent but apart from 2 they all taste the same. The chilli and katsu curry are distinct but that's it.

There's also a variety that just comes in a sachet called "Lost the Pot" and another brand, (with a lot more flavours,) called Mug Shot, which as it's name suggests, you make in a mug.
All pot Noodles are ok, lets face it you've poured hot water into a plastic cup, we have the best Chinese food in the world in the UK and they're on every high street.

The waiting time is crucial. To soon, sauce is wet, noodles to hard. A solid ten minutes for soft noodles and thicker sauce. Maybe longer.

There should be no juice in a pot noodle, it's not a soup thing like you get in say Korea or Japan. It should be quite thick.

"Don't think I could enjoy this as a meal" - NOBODY (correction: Nobody except for skint students,) eats a Pot Noodle as a meal. They're basically a snack. There's also a variety that just comes in a sachet called "Lost the Pot" and another brand, (with a lot more flavours,) called Mug Shot, which as it's name suggests, you make in a mug.

All pot Noodles are ok, lets face it you've poured hot water into a plastic cup, we have the best Chinese food in the world in the UK and they're on every high street.
Pot noodles are not really a meal.. there a quick snack.. also did you put too much water in the noodles as there seems to be a lot of liquid in that noodle.. compared to how there should be

I'd never heard the phrase "Oh my days" until about four or five years ago, but since then I've noticed it's used more in the South and especially in and around London - Haven't noticed it's racially/ethnically influenced though!
Here up north, we're renowned for understating our emotions, so instead of "Oh my days", your top rating for northerners could be "Yeah, that's all right I suppose".
Dont bother with the other flavours, once uve tried beef + tomato, chow mein, chick + mush, & the triple B - BomBay Bad Boy......... and in that order..... the rest are poo ! ;-) Save ur time and money! Try a chip butty instead! Give Mark a pay rise!!
