    This is so real and true! Thank you for being real about weight loss. I lost over 50 pounds a few years ago and while my face, arms and back slimmed down my belly didn’t get flat flat. I loss some belly weight but doing all those crunches didn’t get me to a no waist status. I was however healthier and felt good about myself.

    A lot of people ask me how to lose weight off the waist because I have a small waist (42-28-45).
    It's genetics. I hold my body fat in my thighs/hips, breasts, not much on my belly. Even when I was really overweight, my belly was still pretty flat.

    During my 4 yr fitness journey, I learned that losing weight is like putting groceries in a paper bag. The things you put in the bag 🛍️first, are the last to be taken out. And the places you accumulate fat first, will be the last to lose fat. But if you're consistent with the calorie deficit with good eating and exercise, you'll see results all over eventually 😊

    • @kaybase6967
      @kaybase6967 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @@vaska1999if you do OMAD or IF you most certainly can eat whatever you want. You just have to portion control. Calories in/calories out. What is said about moderation is true. Of course if the “everything you want to eat” is more than what you’re actually burning, then there lies the problem. I’m sure eating one small donut or slice of cake won’t hurt you (or make you not lose belly fat), if you are following OMAD or IF. You can add extended fasts to that then you will lose lots of weight. It just all boils down to common sense.

      I’m not recommending you do a specific diet, I’m just telling you, the only thing that has melted my fat off, has been keto. As a woman in her late thirties with two children, my metabolism has tanked, and I could do a calorie deficit diet with the gym every other day…. Very little change. I started keto, because my friend had just great results, and within three months, I had lost thirty pounds.

    I mean.... I've heard so many times that you cannot spot reduce fat, but the thing is ive seen it happen in real life. During the pandemic my mother (who is overweight) had very bad pain in one of her legs and she couldn't visit a doctor, so she started moving it while laying in bed - simple movements, up and down, in hopes of easing the pain and distracting herself. And she knew you cant spot reduce fat so she thought it won't be a problem, but after two months when we looked at her legs we noticed that the one she had constantly moved around was noticeably smaller than the other one. Yeah, i guess she trained the muscle and it 'replaced' the fat, but the thing is she technically spot reduced fat.

      Ok there’s a difference, spot reducing is targeting the fat u want to reduce on your body, she lost leg fat DOESNT mean HSE SPOT REDUCED FAT, it just means her genetics allowed her to lose leg fat first. Now if it’s a different scenario same body, now she wants to lose belly fat let’s say, she does those stupid ab workout bs and shit whatever she’ll prolly still lose LEG FAT FIRST.. so it’s prolly a coincidence

    • @thecratfywonderworld6910
      @thecratfywonderworld6910 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@aliciasplaytime6905 but... She lost fat only on the leg she was moving. The other leg didn't change size. The rest of the body stayed the same too. It's not about genetics, she gains fat extremely easily and it's very hard for her to lose it. I've managed to spot reduce as well - i guess it happens because you make the muscle beneath the fat stronger. Like, I've squatted and lost weight only on my legs and butt. Then i did ab workouts and lost weight on my belly and waist only. It works. You might lose some weight in other places too, but the places you're targeting will look better because you're working out your muscles
