Ciao e grazie! Matilde
My father is Argentinian and my mother is Russian, so for me being raised with Spanish and Russian languages which are completely different but sometimes have so many things in common, in Spanish we also have a word for "разве" and it's "acaso" word that actually English doesn't have, например: "Разве он уже ужел?" / in Spanish: "¿Acaso él ya se fue?".

3:00, in English one wouldn't add "actually" in this context, simply, "are they already here?". Voice intonation on "here" would infer the correct meaning, changing it from a straightforward question.
Спасибо за видео, Федя! - Как прошёл экзамен? - Я получил 10 баллов из 10. - Разве ты сдал экзамен? - Конечно! Я же много учился, чтобы сдать его! - Разве добро всегда побеждает зло? Я не так уверен...
I'm afraid you cannot really use it like this. "Разве" will make sense here if you ask maybe something like "Разве ты готовился?" (Did you **actually** prepare?) Because you had an idea about a person that they were slacking, but suddenly they passed, so you are questioning the idea of their laziness. One other example I can give with "exam" is this: - Я завтра поеду к маме на своей машине. - **Разве** ты не провалил экзамен по вождению?.. - Tomorrow I will drive to my mom in my car. - **Didn't** you fail the driving test/exam?..
@@Bread992 by the way, in that phrase - Разве ты не провалил экзамен, could it be just swapped and would it keep the same meaning, if I wrote "вряд ли ты провалил экзамен...?". I mean, sth like - (I hope) You didn't fail the exam, did you?

Fedor, always prepares videos about useful things. Not like some of accounts in TH-cam or Instagram which are preparing videos about almost useless Russian words or phases. For example some accounts are sharing Russian verbs almost everyday. Verbs which I even don’t use my normal life or haven’t needed all my life and they just say the Russian translation of the verb but it is not that easy. You need to use that verb in some sentences and show the совершенный or несовершенный form of the verb.
Another awesome video, thanks to which I think I finally got this word. I think there is a similar word in my language - "zar". By the way, is разве very similar to неужели? I'd also be great if you could make a video about differences between these two words.
Is разве ever used by itself? For example, let’s say I see my parrot has gotten off his cage, has strolled across the living room floor and he is chewing on my shoe, and I would say "Really???" meaning, he is doing one action but i know in my mind that he should not be doing that (and so does he). So like Fedor's chewing gum example, can you just say разве??? by itself?
Not really. In such a situation we might say "серьёзно?" (seriously?). But you can use "разве" by itself, it would mean smth like "is it?.." same as Feodor's "are you sure?", it has doubt and disagreement in it. Example: - Этот кот некрасивый. - Разве?.. - This cat is ugly. - Is it?..
@@Bread992thank you for this explanation. Just to make sure, if you want to ask "are you sure" to someone saying "она никогда не говорила мне, что она переехала", you can just say "разве?" like meaning, "are you sure she didn't tell you?" Maybe she told all her friends, so you thought she told this friend as well
