6:30 I also hear "как бы" a lot, as a filler. It was funny that a Russian colleague was talking to me in English, and in the middle he said "как бы" 😄
I want to add that "ну..." sounds like a doubt, so for a "truly" filler word, I guess Russians prefer "как бы". Or "короче", of course! I just remembered this one, probably the filler word номер один 😁
Hello Fedor, your videos have helped me learn a lot of Slang and regular Russian!
лютый = fierce or insane, which means something is truly serious, to the extreme
люто = fiercely / insanely / seriously (smth)
лютый мороз = fierce cold
лютый прикол = insane / mindblowing thing
лютый чел = super tough guy
люто дорогой = insanely expensive
люто скучный = insanely boring
это люто = this is serious
Жёстко is interesting to me, because in german "hart" (which also means hard or dense) is used in the same way as the first example in slang
Thank you Fedor, you are my go-to TH-camr when looking for videos on learning Russian! I recently started learning and I cannot thank you enough for the videos you make 🙏
very important for when you get horrible grades in a class with my only Russian speaking friend
Следующий уровень "мемы"
- Скуф, ты получил альтушку на "Госуслугах"?
- Сэр, нет, сэр
- Паршиво, чëрт возьми
ВХХААХХА, ВЫ ГЕНИЙ, Я ТАК ХОЧУ ЧТОБЫ ОН ВЫПУСТИЛ ВИДЕО ПРО МЕМЫ 🥀
Does BeFluent have some sort of way to test Russian cases and verb conjugations? I would love to see something like what the MasterRussian website has, but with an updated UI and using common words
i love this guy 🤷🏻♀️
and we are always combine this slang words in conversations)
лютая тема! that was very useful, to learn slang, and not just insults or curse words haha
7:41 I hear приям a lot, I guess it means "really"
Вы все верно понимаете, только "прям" а не "приям":)
its was amazing video and also it was helper to learn russia , daily word
тема есть и в английском - theme, и это слово употребляется там в исконном значении
WOWWW THANK YOU IDK HOW TO SAY IT- SOO GOOD!?!
типа is my kind of word- because... like... ... like. i use the word like, like, all the time 😂 thats a good word to keep in mind
How about , ‘Thats wild!’ Like holy sheet thats insane why did he say that
Hey Fedor,
How would you compare your lessons to Story Learning with Olly Richards?
Only problem is I already bought his lessons. It wasn’t until I started learning the alphabet when I came across your videos.
I like your TH-cam videos and have already learned a lot from them. Listening to you pronounce words in Russian is extremely helpful !
I would not be opposed to getting the premium package if I knew I could do both at the same time.
What do you think?
Thanks
Blue
I guess типа has the same usage of portuguese word 'tipo', in terms of slang
Жеееесть, видос прям лютая тема, жёска! ну типа без прикола
Preecol=pre-kol=pretty-col=pretty cool=that's pretty cool 🤣 that's how I'll remember.
"Люто" could also mean "wild" or "savage".
You need to mention slang words like "кун" and "тян"
а если приводить словарное определение слов (например определение слова Жесть), то станет еще проще понять что к чему)
❤
4:05 I'd say for example "прикольно!", is it the same as "прикол" here?
Nearly. "Прикол" is a noun, it usually means a joke or a meme. "Прикольно" is adjective, It usually means that something is funny or as an assessment, how cool.
slang in Russia be like:
Crazy
Crazy...
Crazy!
Well...
Weeeell...
Cool
XD
now seriously it's a good video and good things to know, I'll surprise my russian friends with native slang B)
How about , ‘Thats wild!’ Like holy sheet thats insane why did he say that
Interestingly, "люто" is, unlike the rest, a very archaic word, taken from ancient slavic tales, where it would be used to highlight a particularly dangerous enemy.
Cool thing somebody teaches Russian like this. But why do I see it as a native speaker? 😂
What are you talking about? Fedor explains everything just fine. There are things English that 'just are', meaning that we use them without knowing why. Most English grammar things like that can be explained if I wanted to learn the reasoning, but if I don't need to, what's the use?
just for fun, a long chain of filler words that can give you time to think:
да нет, ну, смотри, как бы, короче, не знаю, грубо говоря, типа...
that should buy you some time to decide what to say actually 😂
Люто sounds like « big time » in your first example. Is that accurate ?
это видео круто, без прикола
жесть от жестоко
👍🏻😎🦆🦖
I thought languagesimp was joking 😅
About what?😂
но ведь нельзя произнести жЪёска - у нас ведь "ж ш ц" всегда твёрдые, лучше бы объяснил иностранцам, почему там именно ё(и почему там не может быть о, в литературном конечно же)
Люто - это литературное слово, не сленговое
